It's up now... -
Day Ten: Ouroboros The einherjar rowed the longship with renewed vigour. They sailed through the night... ... And continued to sail until the sun came up again... ... Until they finally came to a rest. After ten days on a desperate and treacherous voyage, the einherjar were exhausted. Petrus Fire-Starter was so tired, his shield was beginning to flake. Kára looked up, noticing a structure on the horizon... "Valhalla!" Kára gasped. Everyone could only look on in awe, never having expected to see their home again. "I do not believe my eyes!" Harald said. With their remaining strength, the einherjar picked up their oars once more and rowed towards the riverbank. Kára and Harald leaped ashore and beckoned the others to follow. "Our journey is over, my friends!" Kára announced, "at last, we can reclaim our homeland. Now that they had reached land, the einherjar could get a better look at the mighty hall of Odin. Harald trembled, unable to take another step. Harald and Kára looked above them. Valhalla was in ruins, desolate after of years and years of battle. "This is my doing," Harald lamented, "had I not strayed from the course Odin had laid out for me, this place would have endured." "Ragnarok is coming to an end," Kára answered, "what was may still come again. Now is the time to rebuild world, and start our lives anew!" Kára led the others through the once mighty gateway of Valhalla. The einherjar followed her into the hall, startled at the extent of the destruction. They mourned the loss of friends they hadn't seen in years, "All of this can be rebuilt in time," Kára turned to her comrades, "but for the moment, I believe we may still have a traitor or two to take care of..." Vote Count Toki (TrumpetKing): 5 votes (Chromeknight, Hinckley, Adam, CallMePie, Pandora) Canute Grey-Bush (CallMePie): 1 vote (TrumpetKing) With a unanimous vote, Toki (TrumpetKing) has been lynched. Rather than spend the day talking, the einherjar instead decided to devote their efforts to rowing. The longship made good progress, and appeared to be on course to Valhalla. The crew stopped rowing as they passed an old worn down outpost. It had been the site of a great battle at the onset of Ragnarok. There, two great champions lay - Heimdallr, the watchman of the gods, and the trickster Loki, whose actions had helped to bring about Ragnarok. Both had long since perished, living on only in memory. The einherjar kept rowing, and as twilight approached, they decided what to do with Toki (TrumpetKing). "This is the end, my friends!" Toki proclaimed, "all is lost! Ragnarok will consume every one of us!" The rest of the einherjar, tired of Toki's negativity, proceeded to whale on him with every weapon at their disposal. Kára and the others could only look on as the fury of the einherjar was unleashed. The crew stepped back from the fray, leaving a battered Toki dead on the floor. Kára turned portside to see that their vessel was passing the ruined palisades that once guarded Valhalla from invaders. Harald rushed over in astonishment. "You see, Harald?" Kára said, "our home has not yet lost. Valhalla is now within reach!" The day is over. You have 24 hours to send in your night actions.

He is. Thanks for playing Piratedave! -
Day Nine: Valhalla Petr Half-Troll (Piratedave84) wandered through the forest, cursing the bolt that had pierced deep into his shoulder. Marching on, he vowed revenge on those that had done this to him. Suddenly, Petr fell weak and collapsed into the ground. He could move no more. On the boat, Harald the mysterious traveler was stalking the deck, sensing that they were getting closer to their destination. A sudden great light shone down upon Harald. "Could it be? Have we reached Valhalla at last?" From out of the night, a dragon appeared on the bow of the longship, snarling at those on board. The einherjar rallied together to fight this fearsome foe... ... But it was too late. The dragon had already begun spewing fire down upon them. ... All perished in the flames... Harald woke up in a sweat. "Oh. It was just another dream," Harald muttered... Meanwhile, Cranebeinn the Redder (Chromeknight) was sitting around doing nothing. He removed his helmet and admired his luscious locks. "It's getting redder," he boasted. Across the deck, Pudding-Head (Hinckley) was preparing to fetch something from the food stores for his pig Pernilla. "I won't be long," he assured her. Pernilla waited... ... And waited... ... At last, the pig heard footsteps heading towards her... "Here, I found an apple," said Pudding-Head. After an apparently uneventful night, the einherjar gathered once more, relieved to find out that Petr Half-Troll had been another Corrupted einherjar. Surely there couldn't be many more left? I loved Fury Road! I wasn't consciously basing Ragnar on anything from it, but the setting of the game is definitely a little bit Mad Max-influenced. The new day should be up in a few hours... -

As the day drew to a close, the einherjar continued in a heated debate. "I think you're corrupted! You win the game if I'm right," Canute argued. "You're wrong. I'm the Town Tracker. I tracked Petr targeting Toki. He is Scum." Pudding-Head retorted. "You win the game if I'm right!" Canute countered. "You're wrong. I'm the Town Tracker. I tracked Petr targeting Toki. He is Scum." "You win the game if I'm right!" Canute responded. "You're wrong. I'm the Town Tracker. I tracked Petr targeting Toki. He is Scum." Pudding-Head answered. "Ok. Let's lynch Petr," the einherjar agreed. But Petr Half-Troll (Piratedave84) was no where to be found. The einherjar had accidentally left him stranded in the woods earlier in the day! "I'll get him!" Ragnar assured the others. He drew a crossbow bolt from behind his back. Listening intently, Ragnar loaded up his crossbow and aimed. The bolt shot off into the sky and the einherjar fell silent. A moment later, they heard a faint yelp in the distance. "Got him," Ragnar said. -

Day Eight: A Fellow Ship of Viking Lauga (Lady K) was up late, staring into the shimmering waters of of the river. She heard footsteps behind her. An axe-wielding figure had caught up to her, and now moved in for the kill. "You call that an axe?" Lauga asked, then raised her own weapon, "THIS is an axe!" Lauga swung at the figure, but they were too quick. Lauga's axe came crashing through the ship's railing. Seeing their opportunity, the shadowy figure lunged forward and caught Lauga with their axe. Lauga had been slain. She was a Loyal einherjar. Morning came, and the longship kept sailing along the riverbank. The crew now found themselves exploring unknown lands. Kára now helmed the boat. She was joined by Harald, the stranger she had come across the day before. The crew now looked out over the river, where they saw another ship on the horizon. The boat drifted closer and closer, but no one could make out any crew. Soon, it became clear that the small vessel had long since been abandoned. As they passed, the crew noticed the dead sailor still hanging from the boat. "That's coming from where we're going," Harald said. Ragnarök Now 3: Day Seven
MagPiesRUs replied to MagPiesRUs's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
The sun began to set, and Tarr Egg-Chaser (Tariq j) knew his time was now short. He turned to one of his chickens and whispered his final instructions. "Bork bork bork de bork," he told it. Behind him, the einherjar were gathering, preparing to execute another one of their own. But Tarr wasn't going to go down without a fight. Feeling that his fellow warriors had never appreciated his cooking, he now charged at them with reckless abandon! The einherjar were caught off guard by this attack, and recoiled as Tarr unleashed his fury. From the other side of the ship, Ragnar, who was now in command of the ship in Kára's absence, smelled a fight. Eager to put his skills to best use, he charged into the fray himself. Ragnar pushed his way to Tarr, axe raised... ... And with a mighty stroke, cut Tarr in half. Tarr Egg-Chaser was defeated. "Ah, I love the smell of grievous bodily harm in the evening," Ragnar sighed. Meanwhile, Kára was still sitting in a cave with the strange man she had found earlier in the day. The man was explaining how he had ended up exiled in a cave. "For a brief time, I once ruled over Valhalla," the man explained, "Odin had entrusted me to watch over the einherjar while he was away at war." "But the evil of Loki was strong at that time. I was corrupted by his power, and found myself bringing about the destruction of Valhalla itself... "When Ragnarök came, the einherjar were too few to stop those who would attack them... "Whilst we fought among ourselves, a great dragon flew to Valhalla. It was too powerful to overcome, and we all perished." "Even you?" Kára asked. "The dragon swallowed me whole, and I thought that the end of the world had come at last. But it was not the end for me..." "I woke up in the belly of the beast, distraught that I had failed in my duty." "While I was in there, I saw what would become of the Nine Worlds. All would be engulfed in fire, and the World Tree would be lost. "But then Odin appeared to me, and reassured me that all was not lost. As long as I still drew breath, it was my duty to defend Valhalla." "Suddenly, I noticed a sword before me. I reached out towards it..." "... With new-found resolve, I gripped the sword..." "And cut my way out of the beast!" "I wandered many miles in search of Valhalla, but I could not find it. No doubt, it was destroyed in fires long ago..." "All I ever found were the burnt remains of Sæhrímnir, the boar with the powers of regeneration..." "Picking up what pieces I could carry, I used the boar's meat to resurrect the fallen heroes I chanced upon..." "But I lost the remaining pieces during a great storm. I cannot say where they went to. I think one might have fallen into the ugly Pudding-Head grave..." "That was the best I could do to restore the world to its normal state," the man sighed, "I searched for Valhalla for years, but I never found it. I am afraid it is lost." "Valhalla is not lost!" Kára assured him, "I too have had visions. I have been entrusted to lead a band of warriors to reclaim it!" "Come with us. Help us find our home, and we will fulfill our duties together!" The night went on, and Jafri (Jackjonespaw) found himself alone, rowing one of the oars. "We've almost reached Valhalla!" Jafri laughed with glee, "soon, I will take my rightful place on the throne as the king of the gods! My father will be so proud!" Perched on one of the ship posts sat one of Tarr Egg-Chaser's chickens. The chicken flew over to where Tarr had fallen earlier in the evening. It was there that it found his cleaver, teetering precariously on the railing... With a single peck, the chicken sent the cleaver tumbling down, and directly into Jafri's skull. Jafri collapsed to the floor, dead. -
