  1. Are you changing your vote because I have a PR or just because we need a lynch? Because I distinctly remember you hanging around after I first roleclaimed.
  2. Fair enough. I'm starting to leaning more towards town on you, so I'm reluctant to vote for you. Of the three of us who involved in this Greg fiasco, I'm actually most suspicious of Shirley. It feels a little too much like she's just going through the motions to me. Being the first to cast a vote and calling out people for not voting. But he's done little else. Not that I expect him to be a leader and carry the town every time. But his vote for me still bugs me. I'm actually surprised at how seriously he and other veterans took my vote.
  3. So do you think there was ever a possibility of a proper bandwagon forming then? I'm not sure what you're accusing me of now.
  4. There's still 13 hours left in the day, which is about as long as it took for the bandwagon against me to form from start to finish. If you believe I'm faking my claim, fine. It's far, far more likely I'm telling truth, but fine. But if you're only sticking to your vote because you don't believe there's enough time to choose another candidate (or because you're the next most achievable lynch), then I'm unimpressed.
  5. It was definitely the riskiest move of the day, and I fully expected to be questioned over it. Though it was a mistake to have done it at a time when I wouldn't be around to respond to most of the population.
  6. I've noticed quite a few people drop in and out without saying anything. I would appreciate at least knowing where I stand at the moment. Unfortunately, a lot of people seem content to vote for whoever sticks their head out furthest and refuse to find any alternatives even when plenty of time remains in the day. At this stage, I don't expect anyone to vote for someone simply "because we need a lynch". I find it a little insulting that so many seem to think that I was genuinely trying to start a bandwagon on Gregory. Even though it was so early in the day at that point, that literally nothing of any worth had been said prior. At the very least, give me some credit and say it was a WIFOM. Also, I am the watcher. Actually, that's what I'm called, but I guess I'm more of a tracker because I can see who one person targeted each night.
  7. One vote is never anything to get worked up about. Two votes is enough to get someone worried, but is ultimately harmless. The vote on Gregory certainly wasn't a bandwagon, and I didn't expect it to form into one (at least, not unless Gregory actually did get caught off guard and slip up). I voted for him half-jokingly, but also knowing that it would be helpful in gauging reactions. Of the responses, Irene's stood out to me most: I'm not sure what to make of Irene's overreaction to the two votes on Gregory. I don't believe he'd be so blatant if both he and Greg were scum, but I can imagine he might try to pass himself off as the voice of reason by defending another townie and criticising an early spitballing Day One vote. I disagree, a vote is much more helpful in getting someone to talk than holding off on doing so for no reason. What does saying you'll wait for the defendant's response achieve before you vote achieve that an actual vote doesn't? To be honest, I didn't find anything particularly odd about Greg's posts. But then, there was nothing odd about anyone's posts up until that point because none of them had anything to do with the actual game. My vote just helped to get the ball rolling. For the time being, I will Vote: Irene Allen (mostlytechnic), though I'm tempted to vote for Brian too. His reaction to the votes and his defence bug me a little, but he's always an elusive fellow regardless of his allegiance. Oops... Unvote: Gregory McHenry (Lady K) Vote: Irene Allen (mostlytechnic)
  8. Bandwagon? One person isn't a bandwagon. I can assure you I don't have scummy hands. To be safe though, I always wash my hands before I cut hair. I had no blame on me to begin with. Why would I need to shift it, and why would I need to do it as fast as possible? And why did you do the exact same thing as me until you were prompted to explain yourself? I was planning to come in on the donut vs. fish debate, but I just couldn't decide. I was holding off on voting for either one because I didn't want to make a mistake and choose the wrong food. I would argue that my contribution so far has been a lot more helpful than many others'. Maybe not for me personally, but for the discussion as a whole. What does that mean?
  9. I think you're on to something there: Vote: Gregory McHenry (Lady K)
  10. Oh no, this is terrible! A cop dead, a lawyer gunned down, and a football player fallen over! However, I have full confidence that our beloved mayor will respond to this crisis in a rational and clear-headedmanner. This certainly isn't anything for all of us to lose our hair over. If you do lose it though, make sure you lose it at Al's Barber Shop! We're just across the road! My wife Pamela is good at doing things with hair.
  11. 1) Have you played mafia before and/or have you graduated from a mafia school? Yes 2) Will you be available for the duration of the game? Yes 3) Let's say in a totally hypothetical situation that's not going to be used when assigning you a character of course that you wanted to open a store. What would that store be and why? A paranoid gun owner store. Because I'm paranoid. 4) Defiantly or definitely? They're both words I appreciate, I could never pick a favourite. 5) Please write a sixty page dissertation on the theory of mafia games. Ok 6) That last one is a joke, please don't do that. Ok
  12. Thanks for the game def! I had fun while I lasted, and enjoyed following it afterwards. It was a nice change to try another rotating role game, and I even liked the lazier presentation. I got a laugh out of the characters Captain Jack Sparrow and "Ninjago". This feels like one of those rare triumphs of the gut feeling over any evidence, logic or discussion. Aside from Tammo, it seemed like all the scum were targeted and taken out fairly arbitrarily. Usually those kind of votes come back to bite the town, but in this case it worked out pretty well! But I don't know, maybe I wasn't paying close enough attention and I'm wrong about that.
  13. I'm pretty sure the costumes and roles are assigned randomly. The majority of our costumes are comprised of killers, thieves and people who are hard to kill. I'm sure you could find some sort of link with any character. It's a lot more plausible that he's telling the truth about his role than lying. Not that that makes Stickfig a townie, of course. I agree that his vote for Jack feels rather arbitrary, and he has had little interest in looking for any alternatives.
  14. I really doubt that anyone would lie about what role they have. Such a claim would be easily disproven tomorrow when someone else picks it up, so it would only buy a scum an extra day. So I'm pretty confident that Superman's hair really is bulletproof.
  15. What in particular makes you uneasy about mencot's answers?
  16. Mencot, I'm a little confused by your changing opinion on what to do with the vig costume. At first you seemed to agree that we should reveal it: Then when Dragonfire suggested the same thing, you jumped down his throat: And when Tammo finally revealed his role and suggested voting for the costume, you said: Can you explain your thought process here?
  17. On the other hand, publicly deciding on a vig also gives us another type of voting we can analyse. If the scum want to draw attention to themselves by voting for each other, they're free to do that. I feel like that is less harmful than letting them keep hold of a kill role in the hope that we'll eventually catch them out somehow. I'm not particularly convinced by any of the cases, so I'm going to go with my gut at the moment. Vote: Iron Patriot (fhomess) He's only made one proper post so there's not much to analyse here, but this comment sort of rubs me the wrong way. The whole "speculate on scum abilities, then tease them about it" thing.
  18. Looks like a fairly townie move from Tammo. The scum had little reason to reveal the vig costume if they were in possession of it, and there was enough doubt around the plan that they could have quite easily kept the role to themselves. I like the idea of voting for the vig each day. We will probably have to start discussing who we want today though, as we may not be able to get everyone's opinions and votes within the first 12 hours of tomorrow. Obviously we can change our minds if something big comes up overnight though. I have to say I'm quite surprised at the number of people who have entertained the idea that some townies may have permanent roles, given that the opposite was explicitly stated in our roles.
  19. Agreed. I actually wonder if it would be beneficial to reveal the kill costume, if there is one. That way, we can make sure it doesn't secretly remain in the hands of the scum, and allows us to scrutinise the kill choice of whoever picks it. I suppose there's a risk the scum would want to get rid of the role, but it is as useful to us as it is to them (unless there's some sort of rule that prevents them from using two kills at once). Plus, it would likely be guarded by a protector, watcher or something similar.
  20. I have no time to wait around for a proton pack, so I'll take the next best thing: a diving helmet. 1. Starlord's Mask 2. Ninjago's Hood Dragonator 3. Blackbeard's ShagBrickelodeon 4. 21. I ain't afraid of no ghosts.
  22. To be honest, I think this change is very exciting news. I am particularly excited about DisneyTM's unique and proven ability to expand and develop the longevity and financial potential of LEGO fan-sites. I am eager to readTM and appreciate all future Disney-basedTM topics, contests and terms of service as DisneyBricksTM moves forward.
  23. I want to sign up. I'm prepared to jump through a hoop if necessary.
  24. I'm curious, how would the new Ultron helmet look on a castle figure? I'm wondering if it could be passed off as one of these helmets: Iron Man vs. Ultron looks like a great little set to pick up, but the helmet would really seal the deal for me.
  25. Thanks for the feedback everyone, it is much appreciated! Thanks. I experimented with a mounted Gandalf, but as you said LEGO doesn't make reinless horses, so it's hard to create a proper Shadowfax without modification. I also felt that the vig composition worked better with Gandalf on foot, as it adds some extra menace to the Witch-King and Grond while also making Gandalf look more defiant - being the only one in the city to stand against the Witch-King in the darkest hour of the siege. Ha, I hadn't realised that! That was a total coincidence. Thanks again!
