Category: Large Set Name: Aztec Temple Attack Piece Count: 200! Descrption: The Armada soldiers are attacking the mighty Aztec temple! Can the Aztecs defeat the invading Spanish and put them in their prison (and sacrifice them on the altar at the temple top ) and defend their gold? Or will the Spanish defeat the Aztecs, free their captured comrade and take the gold? Which side will you choose? Includes prison, breakable wall, sacrificial altar, golden statue and cannon. Contains Aztec high priest, Aztec warrior, 3 Spanish soldiers and 3 horses. Overall view: To the left is a prison (what LEGO set is complete without one? ), containing a Spanish prisoner: On the right of the Temple is a wall which can be broken down by cannon fire. Once broken down, a stash of gold is revealed. But be careful of the spiders!: It's a shame I can only show 3 pics, but I'll be sure to show more once the contest is over Feedback much appreciated in the discussion thread

Hmm, it seems I forgot to vote... Congratulations svelte_corps, I loved your entry - the lifting water is very nice, and the details great Thanks to those who voted for me too, and to Hinckley for the fun contest

I'm not quite sure what you mean in your first paragraph, but here are the reviews for the Troll Battle Wagon, Dwarf Mine Defender and Tower Raid and the Troll Warship

I was thinking of starting another mafia game myself. I look forward to playing yours however With the growing popularity of maifa games, perhaps we should start an index, containing the general rules and links to previous/current/future games?

I just bought the 7624 Jungle Duel today. A nice little set, with plenty of nice accesories. I plan to get a few more of these to make a Soviet camp. It would've been great though if a Soviet soldier had been included rather than Indy (who outnumbers the Soviets by about 4 at the moment... )

SirNadroj's Custom Minifigures

Monkey Man looks great. I really love that head - is that the commentator's? Nevermind, it seems to be Grey Ghost's. You're right, Uncle Joe's head looks nigh perfect. Dovchenko's cap/torso work very well too. That head would work well for Daniel of There Will be Blood too Nice work, Nadroj. What with all of the great figures, I'm rather temped to buy the large Speed Racer set now. -

Wow, a very nice tank you've made there, especially considering that it is an alternate model I like the turret and the front 'plough' looks great. Is the tank sturdy? If so, I'd be interested in building one myself Great job Darth Andrew -
Happy Birthday iamded and others! I hope you all had great days

Brilliant work, dragonator! All of that SNOT is great! The facades on the bridge and tower look great, as is the very nice cliffside. I absolutely love the tavern - as always, I love the brick technique , and the very nice contrasting colour scheme on it is very effective. The roof is nice, the shape looks great. I really like the outside too - the neat rows of trees and the checkered stone floor make the city look very tidy and upper-class. Finally, the minifigure arrangement is great. I love the inclusion of civilians and their antics. One thing I'm not sure about is how the Crownies on the bridge ended up there - they are surrounded on both sides by Orcs, and the Orcs surrounded on both sides by Crownies A fantastic MOC dragonator, you should be very pleased

Thanks Lego-Freak This is quite a nice set, I love the doctor and the injured Spongebob is great too. I do like the metal plated towers and the parking spot, although both are no doubt stickers. Though I do like the set, I think I'll have to pass on it, as I have enough to buy as it is. Thanks again

Heh, those are cute little things. That cheeky-looking Hovito is hilarious The German mechanic looks great, as does Sallah, but don't recall there being a mummy in any of the movies I can't wait to see the Cairo swordsman pack, Indy has even got his gun Thanks for sharing, Brickster

Last week I bought another Stormtrooper battle pack for US$14 (A good deal in NZ...), although it turned out that one of the 'stormtroopers' in the set was a clone trooper Today I also bought the River Chase. A great little set, though it's a shame that two passenegers can't fit in the front seat of the amphibious vehicle. I hope to build up an army of those great Soviet minifigs (At the moment I have more Indys than Russians )

My next installment has been posted, of the ill-fated soldier Frederick, and the defence of the Crown Port. This was in fact the first part of the series I wrote, and my favourite so far. The Orcs won't hold the Port long after their initial success however - a Crownie general is already on his way to recapture it...

Frederick, (M-23) Frederick stood watch over the key port in the Crownlands, his full body weight on his spear. He had only joined the army two weeks ago it would seem. He thought this job would be full of excitement, adventure and glory. All he'd done so far was stand on one of the port towers, watching out for enemy attacks. Dead boring, really. He even considered going back to his old job, the street cleaner. At least he could fight the dirt. But here he was. Well, he'd best make the most of what he had at the moment. He stared out into the ocean, sparkling from the sun's gaze. Beautiful. The water went on and on, until it slowly faded into the fog far away. Frederick looked through the fog, at the faint silhouettes of the hills behind it, bustling with twisting trees and exotic houses. The Elflands. Oh, how he wished to be there. He had been fascinated with Elves ever since he was a child. Their ears, their pouches filled with delicately crafted arrows, their long glistening hair.. He had only read about them in books and old Crownian tales, never seen one before. Yet one day he hoped he would.. Wait, what is that in the distance? Frederick recovered from his daydreaming, alert as ever. What is that? It seemed to be getting larger. He watched it intently, for what seemed like hours. The silhouette finally emerged from behind the fog, and almost immediately Frederick recognised it. Great red sails, large ape-like skulls, tatters of wood and metal below it.. "To your posts!! The Orcs are attacking!" Frederick cried. As if they had been waiting for the alarm, the soldiers quickly rushed to the scene, some up to the walls, some down to the piers, ready to do battle. In an eerie silence, the Crown soldiers waited for the approaching Orc warship. It was not long before the ship came within firing distance. "Ready... Aim..." Frederick heard the commander calmly giving out his orders. The clicks and creaks around him suggested the crossbowmen were in position. "Fire!" The commander yelled with fury. The crossbowmen unleashed a terrible volley of bolts onto the ever moving ship. The Orcs replied by firing the ballista perched on the front of the deck straight into one of the proud towers standing above the port. With a groan, it came crashing down, debris scattering throughout the port. You could now hear hushed voices amongst the now concerned soliders. Another missile came from the ship, this one crashing through the piers, sending the men atop the once solid platform screaming into the murky water. Now the soldiers looked agitated. The ship came into contact with the port now, and the Orcs rushed out, yelling and chanting as they did. The soldiers in their way stood transfixed, and were quickly sent to their deaths. A great Troll came up now, and began to batter at the steel gates that stood in defiance against the Orcs. The Crown crossbowmen above continued to pour bolts down upon the Orcs, but soon their own crossbowmen appeared from inside the boat, and released their own terrible volley, cutting through the Crown Knight's chain mail and into their flesh. Frederick, in awe of this whole scene, didn't notice the Orc bolt heading towards him. He turned just in time, only to be caught in the stomach by the crude piece of metal. "Arrgh! arrgh, arrrrgh.." he cried at the horrible pain, then at the red liquid coming out of the wound. Frederick fell to the cold stone floor of the tower, now surrounded in darkness. It was over.

This seems to be the case with all of my 2007/08 sets. It was especially hard to get the Dwarf heads off, with their beards and all. Lately I've been twisting the heads around on the torso neck to loosen them up before completely attaching them.

Thanks everyone, I appreciate it Thanks! I hoped that last one would cater to your sense of humour Thanks.

What, and a spear can't? Yes, I see now, though it does look fine as it is. Glad to hear it!

*A voice from Elysium* Just for the record, revealing myself was better done sooner than later. Had the town actually believed me, I would've been safe from being voted for the rest of the game and the government bodyguard would have been able to protect me every night from murderers. Anyway, thanks for the game, Tanotrooper, I had fun (even if I am rubbish at debating ) and good luck to the rest of you *voice fades*

New Indiana Jones KotCS Trailer Released!
MagPiesRUs replied to MagPiesRUs's topic in Culture & Multimedia
I'm not sure what you mean, the link you gave went to the Indy game trailer. But yes, it does look great, but I'm not so sure about the zombies and aliens Although the Soviets conflicts look great, from what I've seen, the fight coreography looks just as good as the original films Indy ON! -
I apologise if this has already been posted, but another trailer for Indiana Jones Kingdom of the Crystal skull has shown up on the Indiana Jones website. It can be viewed here

Hehe, nice work, the cows look great. Like all of your MOCs, I love all of the details, such as the mouse hole and mouse trap and the brilliant little mushrooms The roof is fantastic, very realistic. Finally, the Skellies trying to drop a dirty sock into the milk is hilarious Great work, SlyOwl

I've investigated Hinckley and Lt. Veers, who are both scum, and I find jipay and ricecracker very suspicious, and would've investigated them the next few days.

Sorry... again. I get confused with lower-case letter names Besides, I changed the list before in my post above. Bonus, my friends.

Great vig, Batbrick Great medievalisation of the Batman characters, the bat helmet is perfect And the tan logs work very well as wheat fields. I'm not so sure about the part on which the pumpkins are lying though - is that wheat as well? Nevertheless, great action poses, and the rat is a nice addtion. Nice work, I hope to see more of these great Bat-Castle vigs
