  1. Just got mine today. All they've got is a 'coming soon' poster, although a section of a set can be seen (Battle of Alamut?). Looks like Dastan may have a double sided head too. Interesting too that the old scimitar is being used again.
  2. Great entries everyone. 74louloute - 3 Nate - 1 Shmails - 1 MrDarthLord - 1 Capto - 1
  3. Ah, love that song. Great MOC, I'm loving the colour scheme. That sign looks great, the decal is wonderful and I like the addition of the two cups. That window design is quite nice too, though it does look a little too open to me. I feel it would benefit from either one more horizontal bar or two more vertical bars. Great MOC overall, I'll look forward to the interior pics.
  4. In addition to some of the other suggestions, I'd love to see... 1. Mexican bandito (Complete with sombrero and poncho, this would be perfect ) 2. Queen's Royal Guard (I'd love an official bearskin hat - although it may be too soon for another redcoat.) 3. Reggae artist (Because we need some lego dreadlocks ) 4. Inuit 5. Hippy (The clown hairpiece would work well on this guy.) 6. Arabian wanderer/explorer/trader (To me, that AT-ST helmet is just screaming to be used for one of those middle-eastern headdresses.) 7. Mime 8. 15th Century Explorer (I'm thinking of a Marco Polo/Columbus type figure. I'd really like one of those medieval caps.)
  5. A great job to everyone, Im had a hard time picking. Nate: 3 Jansued: 2 Palleon: 1 Selander: 1 Nate: I love the gloomy feel of this MOC. You've got just the right amount of details in the home, enough to grab attention, but not enough to make it crowded. The emptiness of the MOC is really great, and makes it even spookier for me. Jansued: Hilarious! Love all of the dentist's equipment, as well as the perfect head choices. And that bandaged up shark tops it all off. Great work! Palleon: This is really cute, a very well executed idea. I love the little slope, very nicely done. Selander: I guess I have a soft spot for pies. Great work on the stand and banner, they have a nice rickety look to them. The decals are superb too. Nice job.
  6. Just quickly updated pics 1 and 4 with the new roof. I tried adding a chandelier but I didn't really feel it fit in with the scene. Once again, thanks for all of the feedback guys.
  7. Absolutely wonderful. Looks like TLC will be squeezing even more money out of me next year. And I love it!
  8. Christmas on the Western Front, 1914
  9. Looks great Quarryman. Unfortunately I'm rather busy this time of year, so put me down as a reserve.
  10. I know that Doctor Sinister combined 7029 and 7037 with the castle a while back: (pic is a link to gallery) As for the MMV, I imagine it would work better as a small village on the outskirts of a castle rather than actually inside it. Castles were generally made for nobles and soldiers.
  11. Thanks for another fantastic game Dragonator. The sets and photos were very impressive, and you had a great set of roles in there too. I had a lot of fun before I was killed (damn you Stash2Sixx, it was because I made you a naive cop wasn't it? ) And sorry about killing you General Armendariz. I couldn't decide between you or Ricecracker, but I had a stronger gut feeling about you than him. I guess I made the wrong decision. If you don't mind, what effects did Sudden Death have on the different roles?
  12. Congratulations Dragonator, well deserved. Best of luck to you.
  13. Signed. I own most of the 1st wave sets, and think they're very charming. I especially love Gold City Junction, a fantastic little town all on its own. I was always disappointed we never got another wave of sets to expand that town, such as a railway station or a saloon. In fact, I think it was Brick Miner's wonderful Legoredo Station that brought me to Eurobricks. Signed!
  14. On a positive note, I think that last Day 6 pic is great - the lighting, the depth, the camera angle, the reflections, the jolly look of a man facing execution... Love it!
  15. Thanks for all of the feedback guys, I've taken it on board and updated the main post. I'm still not entirely satisfied with the pinata, so feedback regarding that would be much appreaciated.
  16. Some guests entertain themselves with a piñata. The pirate captain takes a swing with his pegleg - even if he is taking a peek. Across the room, King Kahuka leads a conga line. Despite the pleasant atmosphere, one pirate commits a villainous deed - he pours rum into the punchbowl! Atop the fortifications, a soldier decides to light up some fireworks. One soldier is entertained enough with his balloon. Everyone is invited! ... Well, except of course... Enjoy!
  17. The weapon he's holding is a small flexible spike that's been seen in a couple of the Summer '09 sets: link
  18. Looks fantastic! A great surprise! The interior looks great, I love the kitchen. Shame we don't have a clear pic of the admiral's cabin though, it looks as if there may perhaps be an organ in there. EDIT: And there is an organ. I should've reread the description A great selection of minifigs too. I like the look of the new admiral's daughter, although I'm not so sure about the cook (what is he anyway, a dwarf or a bearded child? ) . It would've been lovely to have a new 18th Century apron torso for him. The price seems a little hefty though, almost double the price of Medieval Market Village, and it only has about 60 more pieces. Still, I'll try to buy this one, it looks like a lovely set.
  19. I haven't had the time to fully complete 5 vignettes for Italy, but I thought I'd might as well take some pictures of the ones I've already done before I forget. I'll be sure to update this thread with the next 3 vignettes as I build them. Here are the other 3 parts of "The History Of" if you missed them: Britain France Russia The Rise of Rome Rome, said to have been originally founded by the brothers Romulus and Remus, was at first governed by seven kings. In 509BC however, the last king, Tarquinius was overthrown, and the Roman Republic was set up, ruled by two consuls and the Senate. By 200BC, the Romans controlled all of Italy, and had even begun to expand into Carthage, Spain and Greece. However, the republic was unfit for ruling such a large empire, and Roman generals started trying to take power. One general, Sulla, became a dictator of Rome, as did Julius Caesar. The Senate, fearing Rome returning to being ruled as a monarchy, stabbed Caesar to death. Caesar's adopted son sought revenge, and with the help of Mark Antony, defeated his murderers. They then turned on each other, Octavian eventually defeating Mark Antony and became the first Emperor of Rome, Augustus. A period of peace followed. At it's height, the Roman Empire stretched from Britannia to Mesopotamia, and from North Africa to Gaul. Ancient Rome contributed much to the world, including technology, architecture, law, art, war and language, which all continue to have great influence today. Here, a slave helps to build a road so that the Roman army can continue to march on a long campaign. The Sack of Rome The Roman Empire fell into decline. The Crisis of the Third Century almost caused the Empire to collapse, due to economic depression, barbarian invasions, plague and civil war. Although Emperor Aurelian helped Rome to recover, the Empire was simply too large and difficult to manage. Emperor Diocleten thus split the Roman Empire into two parts - the Western Roman Empire, ruled from Rome and the Eastern Roman Empire, ruled from Constantinople. The Western Roman Empire faced more and more barbarian invasions. In 410AD, the Visigoths under Alaric besieged Rome, and after being let in by slaves, sacked the city for three days. Later, in 455, the Vandals sacked Rome for fourteen days. In 476, having been refused land by the Romans, Odoacer's Germanic mercenary army quickly conquered Italy, becoming King of Italy. The Western Roman Empire had fallen, and soon it would be under the control of various barbarian tribes. A few more pictures can be found here Enjoy! Feedback is much appreciated.
  20. They've got a couple of interior pictures at S@H: A lovely little chimney and some nice dark tan tiles. Not to mention that cute little robot and train. And at $140NZ, I'm sold.
  21. Damn. At least this is the first time I haven't been voted off in a game though (well, the second if you count Noir Mafia ). Thanks for the great game Dragonator, it was a lot of fun. Great MOCs and photos you've made for this.
  22. Now, you do have a good point there, thanks for reminding us of that. I'm still thrown by the fact that the west wing is now safe though, I would've assumed it would still be dangerous if there was still a black magic wielder alive. Now that's an odd suggestion. The sorcerer was had no alignment, meaning that no one else was on their side. Thus, the people defending him aren't necessarily scum (in fact, it's unlikely that anyone defending him was scum, as any killer not sided with the Dragons would be very dangerous to the Dragons), and much more likely misled loyalists.
  23. It may also be worth mentioning that Harcourt's magic flames were blue, the same colour of fire that was used to kill the two guards on Day 1, while Sirion's flames are green, which we haven't seen until now. Also, we see that now that the west wing seems to be safe now that Harcourt is gone, so Sirion must not have contributed to the evil magic going on down there.
  24. Oh, poor Gilbert! You were a brave guradian of the castle, and will be sorely missed. I doubt that. On Day 1, we clearly saw that one hooded figure (called an intruder) cut poor Fergus to pieces. I don't think this would be something our vigilante would do. I'm not going to be jumping on the Sirion bandwagon until I have some solid proof that he's a dragon. Especially since he could possibly be our loyal protector, and with all these killers running around, it's a very useful role indeed. Speaking of which, why have you chosen to visit Beatrice on both nights, Sirion?
  25. Creative Assembly sure are busy. They've just announced an expansion too, The Warpath, which will be coming out this October. It's basically a new campaign for Empire, featuring just North/Central America. You will be able to play as 5 American Indian tribes - the Iroquois, Plains, Huron, Pueblo and Cherokee nations. There will be new units, technologies and agents too. Check out the website, featuring screenshots and a video here: Empire Total War: The Warpath Campaign This sounds quite nice, although I usually do prefer the European troops. Since it seems they're going down the same path as Age of Empires 3, I'm hoping for an Asian campaign now too. EDIT: Oddly enough, they're using the soundtrack from Medieval 2: Total War: Kingdoms in the trailer. Not that I'm complaining though, I've always loved the music from that game.
