Right. Dickie, can you explain this then? Because in these games... of life, these kind of things don't happen without a reason. And what evidence is that? You've been pursuing me for two days now, and have yet to provide any sort of evidence besides your gut feeling. And gut feelings haven't gone very far this past week. Stanton and Richie would agree on that. As for today's operation, I suppose I'll go first. Ian, Johnny Blue and I were tasked with transferring the cargo, which went along without a hitch. I was escorting the truck back when I heard the sirens. Ian fell out of the truck, which must've been how he grazed his ear. Johnny and I ran down the alley, though at some point he disappeared. Quarrioni pulled me into the theatre just before the police came by, and us two and another who I didn't quite see escaped the theatre. We then split up and I headed back to the warehouse.

This is a very interesting project indeed, I'll definitely be following it. Feel free to use my MOC. My gallery is here, though I may have to tidy it up a bit.

Ah, a shame to lose another loyalist when we are so close to succeeding. Those goddamned ducks... I agree with Quarrioni that the last rat must be one of the lovers. It seems to have been quite a prominent subject throughout this game... of life. Different players... of life have received hints regarding this affair, from Dragonatieri to LeAnn. The ammount of emphasis that has been put on it would lead me to believe that there must be someone involved in the affair who's a rat. Now, two days ago, Dragonatieri brought up something about Alicia copying Dickie's vote, and this stopping a few days ago. Neither of you have given us an explanation for this yet. Would you care to answer us now?

Odd that the hitman killed the rat before she could reveal the final rat. I remember our good friend the mayor doing the same thing in the previous Baritones game... of life. Of course, Iris has said that she trusts the person she appointed to be hitman, but you never know with her...

Heh, the statue is great, I love the nod to Classic Spacel. The alien minifigs are superb, it looks like we'll be getting some great parts from them. I sure hope those moulds are preliminary though, I'm not in love with that textured look at all. All in all, the sets look great, I'll definitely have to pick up a few of these.

Wow, the Mountain Fortress is looking much better. The interior looks fairly decent and I like the way it can close together into a fortress. The troll king looks great, I love the bronze crown and his one eyed face. The big trolls look fantastic with the new printing and dark brown clubs, and I love the fact that each of them has their own little sentry box. Also, the new king and golden knight look stunning, the printing on the two is superbly detailed. Now if only the gold knight was is metallic gold... Overall, I'm quite pleased with this year's Castle lineup.

I've just voted for Pavarti.

Mystery Manor - Index and Disscusion Thread

I'd just like to say that your photography has been excellent, in Chapter 5 especially. The lighting and camera angle in the first picture is excellent, and it creates a very eerie mood. Well done! -
Ah sorry, I thought I remembered LeAnn saying that someone in an affair was a rat, but it turns out she was only speculating. I would think it likely for one of you to be a rat, as it would make the whole affair storyline a little pointless in this game... of life. It could of course be a way to distract us from the task at hand though, but I'm a little concerned at the way everyone jumped on Drgonatieri yesterday. ... But I'd be happy to vote Pavarti off today.

It doesn't matter how quickly he said it, the point is that he wouldn't have said it if we wasn't. If he wasn't and the real hitman showed up, We'd kill him in a heartbeat. Sure, a rat may lie and say that they are the hitman, but we'd kill them as soon as we found out Dickie was dead and thus revealed to be a hitman. You leaked on his lawn too? You're out of control Pavarti!
-
Well, now we're fairly certain who the two remaining rats are. Shame we had to lose two more loyal men in the process though. Pavarti is the only remaining person involved in the botched operation. It's pretty much confirmed that she's a rat. What are you doing wearing that red dress, Pavarti? The outfit you wear when you take a dump on someone's lawn perhaps? We were told early on that one of the people involved in an affair was a rat. Dickie says he's the new hitman (and a very ruthless one at that). Like my argument for Dragonatieri, it would be foolish for him to say he was a hitman if he was lying, as the real hitman would then reveal himself. He must be loyal. This means that the only one involved in the love circle who isn't in the clear is Alicia. Now, I'm glad to hear that there are still two rats left. This means that they can't convert people anymore. We know they cannot nightkill either, so we have nothing serious to fear at night anymore.

Very nice, I like it. The landscaping is very nice, I love the way you've done the rock the Britons are on. I like the addition of the road too, though perhaps you should have 1x2 tiles on the sides to make it look more old-fashioned. The figures are great, I love the Romans, great use of the American Indian pieces for them, and the standard and backpacks are very neat too. The Britons are equally well-done. I quite like that you've used fleshies to show the pale skin. Again, the use of the Indian torso is very cool, it blends in well with the flesh. A very fine vignette you've made Majek, great work.

Sheesh, what is this, a soap opera? I still don't know what to make of this situation, though I do agree that Dragonatieri's story is starting to look a little shaky. Yes, but in his defense I don't believe Dragonatieri would be silly enough to make such a roleclaim if it was false. If the roleclaim were false, it would be a huge gamble for a rat to make, especially considering there are only 2 left. Besides, no one else has claimed to be the hitman yet. There is of course a possibility that there is no such role, but Dragona-whatsisname would have to know for certain that no one else had the role before RCing. I'm not sure what to believe at the moment, but I'll reserve my judgement until we get more information.
-
Dragonatieri's roleclaim sounds plausible. As he's said, if he wasn't the hitman, the real hitman would reveal that he's lying. I'm sure Quarrioni would be able to confirm that Dragonatieri is the hitman too. I still believe we should vote off Willie or Pavarti today myself, we know for certain that one of them is a rat. I still don't really know what to make of this affair business.

Ooh, now we're getting somewhere. So, is it safe to assume that one out of Willie and Pavarti, and one out of Alicia and Dickie are rats? I think we've just about wrapped this game... of life, up. Forgive me for the mathematical banter (it runs in the Blockioli genes I'm afraid), but even if we vote off a loyalist, kill a loyalist at night and have one loyalist converted for the next 3 days, we'll still be able to win. The loyalist:rat ratio will be: Day 7: 11:2 Day 8: 8:3 (2 loyalists killed, 1 converted) Day 9: 5:4 (2 loyalists killed, 1 converted) If we are to assume that only one person out of Willie and Pavarti are rats, I would think Willie to be the rat. Pavarti was surprisingly helpful even when she knew that she would be put to death, while Willie has been whining about not being killed for a while, and being generally unhelpful. I would suggest we vote off Willie today. Oh, and good work Quarrioni, good decision to kill the rotten rat.

OLD Mafia and Mystery Games Index
MagPiesRUs replied to MagPiesRUs's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Very nice. Looks like a great idea for a mafia game. When do you plan on hosting it? In other news, Tanotrooper has informed me that he may be continuing Roman Mafia some time in February. -
Darn, I was expecting the Venice Chase set to be the same price as Shanghai Chase and Race for the Stolen Treasure. On the bright side though, I'm happy to see that the Cairo Ambush set is the same price as the previous two small Indy sets, considering that this one has 4 minifigs as opposed to 3. Aside from that, the prices are pretty much as expected. It seems that all of the Indy plane sets thus far have been $100NZ. Ah, don't forget the big Nepalese thug in the bar fight (and the Club Obi Wan gong player, though that's just a minor role).

Very nice, I like it. I love the classic town feel to it, what with the green and red and the old door and windows. I like the little details too, like the flower garden outside and the simple but cool interior. However, I do agree that you should change the colour of the red upper windows. Perhaps you should change them to tan, or mabye even just replace the red window frames with black ones. Like Athos too, I think the farm house would really benefit from a small porch at the front. Overall I think it's very neat, and fits in very well with the new 7637 Farm. Nice job.

Made up castle faction/village decals

Very nice! I like the combination of Leo's and the Crown faction emblems. It reminds me of the European coats of arms featuring the arms of various other kingdoms and houses. Great work! -
Artist of the 2009 Pirate Set Comics - we've found his blog!
MagPiesRUs replied to Wes's topic in LEGO Pirates
Yes, the comics are very nice, I love the vibrant colours and the great effects. It does strike me as odd though that the pirates are portrayed as the "good guys" and the Imperials are portrayed as the "bad guys". It always seemed to be the other way around in the Classic Pirates line. Also, all of the comics can be found on the Lego website. -
Happy Birthday ImperialScouts, I hope you have a great one.

Thank you. I should be going on a tour of World War battlefields next year, and Ypres will be one of the places we'll visit. The Battles of Ypres were very important in the history of the New Zealand Army too. I would consider the United States. There are definitely at least 5 important parts of history that could be done. Thanks for the feedback guys.
-
Unfortunately not. In other news, I bought 6239 Cannon Battle. A great set for minifigs, and the artillery piece is surprisingly decent.
-
Thanks for the feedback everyone. Thanks, I'm glad you like them. The piece is a barbed wire coil, which appeared in a few of the Agents sets last year. Yes, you're right. And because the Dovchenko head looks yuck. Thanks. I'll be considering doing Poland later on, it certainly has a very interesting history. Thank you. I was considering using a Mutt hairpiece, though with the male head (as unfortunately all of the female heads have some form of lipstick) I used, it looked as if she was a man. Thus to make her look more like a woman, I gave her the princess hair. The Spalko hair certainly is a good suggestion though, I'll have to try that. Thanks again everyone.
