  1. My only gripe is that the arms seem abit too stubby and short. Other than that, as always, you use a plethora of parts used in an interesting and pleasing manner. Though I must say the lighter belly looks abit funny, and the proportions could be slightly better, but I nitpick alot, it's very nicely done.
  2. Is mayonnaise an instrument? (kudos if you get the joke.)
  3. Whether or not you recreate something in lego's does not make history go away. Look at what other people build, WW2 ghettos, tanks, etc, things related to Terrorism, and many other tragedies, heck, even some spaceships shaped like some odd things. Whether or not you ignore the past, it was still there, and I think we should be free to build what we want. Maybe if he was making a proclamation of if a race, ethnicity, or anything was superior/inferior, or if he showed any agreement to the ideals of the past, but, he does not. He is simply building a plantation house. I recall many mocs built of 'distasteful things' like this, for school projects.
  4. I have a strange affiliation to the orange. Awesome stuff, heh. Red visor is interesting. Would look great with the black set. Will these be (or are they already) available for sale?
  5. Very nicely done. Especially the front stairs.
  6. Shinedown - Second Chance Easily my favorite song this month.
  7. I don't know who you are, and didn't notice you were gone.
  8. Although a meager chance at success, sign me up anyways.
  9. I'm sorry, but I don't feel any need to extend it. 10 weeks is a long time, very long, especially for one contest. I understand some may not have heard about it, or not started until late, but those are circumstances beyond the contest holder's control, and goes down to the personal planning of the contestants. I realize some may be late and still want to participate, but just like alot of things with deadlines, somewhere, someone has to draw the line, and be a hard megablocks. I may not be backed up by many members here, but this is what I feel is justified.
  10. One of the best sets ever to be produced, or atleast, one of my favorites. Very depth review, good pictures, overall, very very good. We need more reviewers like you. Thanks for reviewing this truly classic set.
  11. Quite a number are quite nice, but next time use a much smaller watermark. It's just plain annoying to have it that large and it really detracts from the model. Try to mark it in places that don't cover the model.
  12. You only live once. Take some risks. As for me, I've been comfortably dating a Gal for the past 2 months. I'm not very active here on EB due to real life activeness. Heh. So rather than daily breakdowns, I can just say that's the most noted change lately. I spend every day with her anyway, so most of my entries would look the same.
  13. Very cool. It looks very serene and like something that would guard a sanctuary, or some kind of holy temple. I like it. Great job, and deserves more attention than it has got here.
  14. Ah, if you made brickfilms, that would explain why alot of pictures looked approximately the same. Just thought I'd chime in anyways; If you don't hear critiques it's hard to know what to get better at sometimes. I will keep an eye out in the future, good to hear you took it positively.
  15. Thanks! Yes, the ship is supposed to be minifigure scale. The bridge and such does contain people, and the interior is kindof why I stopped building it lately. It's hard to find a good enough method to build the interior, make it better than sub-par compared to the rest of the ship, but STILL making it accessible, and useful. I haven't made good progress on it for months, atleast. The project is fairly old. I would have to say maybe 6+ months, but not near a year quite yet. Thank you for your interest in it.
  16. Pretty good. But I have some critiques if you want to hear them; The story seemed very little for how many pictures there were, and there were alot of pictures which really looked exactly the same. Try to extend the story alittle in each segment, and sum up more in one picture? Like the counting "6.. 7.. 8.." would have worked for just one, rather than three separate. I especially like the fortifications in the first picture too.
  17. Thanks all for the comments. It took just under a week to build, of on and off - In total, only afew hours. And as MacK guessed, there is no real interior, which is the only unfortunate part of this build I feel. One of my favorite parts aswell is the gunner port - This is the main reason I cannot have an interior, but, I feel it was worth the sacrifice for the outer look. And can you guys have pictures of my WIP space thingy? Sure can. It's on brickshelf: Here's the entire gallery.
  18. So basically, because of how life goes, I've been distracted from much of my hobbies lately. On my spare time I usually poked at my, as you probably don't know, WIP that is a huge space cruiser. But lately I've been distracted and worked on this lil guy. Heres the first few reasons why I call it experimental: To me, there are alot of new techniques used. I have never used this windscreen technique, nor the roof. I also created most the snot around the second section, so it could branch off to the end and beginning. And am quite happy how all techniques turned out. Also, the suspension and wheel technique is new, more on that later. Oh yeah. The doors open like that too. Also, as always, plenty of the yellow and black checkerboard insignia. Here's where it starts to get fun. Here's all of the front underside mashed together. There is an engine, suspension, and the drive shaft, and the front fan and such. I will dissect this. From the front. Another layer off, now you can see the end of the engine which goes against the fan, and more of the suspension. Here's where the entire project began. Those wrenches on the wheel area? Here's where it all began. I wanted to create a more realistic car frame, most notedly, I saw the wheel connections lacking. So I began pondering what could be more realistic, rather than just a block axle like you always see? That's what I came up and started with. I'm also very happy with how the gun and roof came out. In fact, I'm pretty happy with all of it. Here's the main reason I'm so happy with the roof. The gunner opening and the connection took some fine tuning work. Yes, the back has the works too. Here's a total breakdown of the truck, showing most the internal snot work and how I got studs to face both sides, and how I made the doors work. And here's how I attached the roof. It is actually quite stable, thanks to the rod you put the gun on. I hope you enjoyed looking. I know I'm not very active anymore, and I apologize, but I'm sure with the always flourishing new members, activity is no problem around here. As long as there's room for afew of my lil mocs.
  19. Chya. I've been really busy lately in real life. I'm a creepy lurker now.
  20. Hands down.
  21. HMS, you beast, I shall look like that when I'm not 16! And: Macbooks can be fun.
  22. I cannot express simply how bad of news this is to me. This is the worst possible lego news I could have ever heard. Simply awful in my eyes. I am utterly disappointed.
  23. I love it, unorthodox techniques and pieces in all. You've done a great job, simply a pleasure to look at. This ranks among the best gundams I have seen. The head is especially good.
  24. I was marveling over this on brickshelf. The style is very distinct, I could tell it was you without even clicking 'Up' to see your gallery. It is all done very well, the little details and techniques, though some connections look weak, such as on the crops, the picture is very strong and I stand in awe at the result. It is all done very well, and I applaud this. Well done. I don't give praise alot, but your stuff truly deserves it.
