  1. Time cruisers was the closest so far to steam punk, and even though I liked it, It didn't sell too well. I think some thing's are best left to the moc'ers, this being one of them, sorry
  2. Not only is this the second copy of this set I built, it is now ranked among my top favourite sets, ranking with the Titan XP, and other creator sets. Why? Maybe this review will show you. This is a great blend of bionicle, cool elements, odd peices, playability, and some awesomely pose-able figures. Along with 700 pieces! And. To combo that, it's been on sale for half off. That's right. Where shall I begin? I guess I should mention - I put some effort into this review! Nonblurry pictures, set up station to take pictures, staged shots, in build reviewing, I tried to cover alot of areas, to make people happy! Here we go, the first bag of the build, gets you these two guys. These are the bad guy's rides. The bigger one has a nifty chomping jaw, and frankly, I think these bionicle heads have loads of possible uses. In fact, I used some on my Amaranth's wing's. Check it out, they'll be there next update. More of the big guy. He looks quite mean. (Blurriest photo of them all) Side profiles. Now time for bag two! I separated out all of the minifigure elements. Here are ALL of the minifigure pieces. Quite a stack.. All ten. 6 Good guys, 4 bad, and there are 12 weapons to boot. Someone asked for more detail into the weapons, so, for you! I did just that. Here they all are, my two favorite are the swords being used. Here they are in more detail, along with some comparisons of these figures to minifigs. And a cool jellyfish addon. Here are the good guy's profile shots! With some working, you can get their heads to fit minifigures. I posted that somewhere in the customization workshop, if you are interested. The (in my opinion) way cooler looking bad guys. Alright. With that out of the way, we start to build the real deal. The crawler! Here is the front cockpit of it. See that black mask? That was the original reason why I bought this. But it ended up being cooler on more levels than I imagined. Also, that red cockpit piece? .. Doesn't that just look cool or what? Here it is all built. Oh, and you build a little scooter. Next you start to build the next car of the toa train. These are fold down doors. The innards hold a whole lotta ammo. Clear all this out, and it is very roomy. Even with this in there, it is roomy. Another shot. First car all finished. Theres a blaster, and crane, up top. The door is very cool. Here, you can open up just that seal, and peek inside. Or you can fold down the whole thing. Now we start the last part. It ends up being very empty, and just storage for the lil scooter. But the details on the outside make up for this.. Now here is the whole thing! Along with all the figures, monsters, ammo, weapons.. alotta bang for your buck. Why it came with squids? I am unsure.. To my surprise, this came with alternate ideas! A rare thing these days. Well, I hope this came to some enjoyment to you all. I hope the quality of this review was much greater, and more helpful. If you have any questions pertaining to these, please do ask! I really love this set, and just wanted to impart some knowledge on it. I hope you enjoyed the review, to whatever extent you can. I appreciate any comments! Untill next time. - Mark
  3. Expect updates within the next few days. I just finished both the main wings. Boy, what a task. And I can tell you, this thing has a wing span of over TWO feet. Kinna big methinks? Thanks for the comments so far, I know it's not very interesting yet, but..
  4. This seems like quite a good idea. I may do this, once I have color sorted the pieces. Color sorted and piece type sortage, very nice.
  5. The SNOT is amazing. Simply excellent.
  6. Thanks all, had abit of time today so got one of the wings done. It's huuuge. I will need to buy another set to supplement before I build the other one I'm planning on having 4 wings, 2 main ones, and two smaller fins, near strait up, at the back. I will take picture's once I'm satisfied with one of the wings
  7. Purple, for obvious reasons on my part.
  8. I count mini figs as the normal mini figure, head, the torso and arms and such, I don't count robots and whatnot, because, well, their body parts cant be used with my other mini figures. I don't count the battle droids as mini figures, but just figures I suppose. You can argue it and stuff, but it's just how my mind naturally divides 'em.
  9. Nightwish - Amaranth
  10. **UPDATED** Well - I wanted to do something different. I realized it's quite fun working with elements people deem unusable in system - Mostly bionicle. What could be cooler than fusing bionicle with one of the coolest forms of space ships? A large bionicle battle cruiser? I'm taking up my self condoned challenge. The name - The Amaranth. It means a Never fading flower (usually thought to be purple). Ok, lame name, but it sounds cool. It kinda fits.. Anyways, I want to open the thread saying I am open to all suggestions. I want your input! Think of something cool to put in a big ship? I want to hear about it. Is there something you've never seen before in a capitol ship, or battle cruiser, you've never seen before, but want to see? Just ask! I've started at some of the easiest portions - The bridge, and the engine. I first built the engine, which came from the frame of a sentai fortress tower Also - I have acquired a tripod! No more blurr's from me! The massive wings, and the bridge. This gives you alittle taste of how big this thing, will be. I tried to fuse in some parts people would deem unusable (is that my motto or something?), note the bionicle heads here. I used them to top the intake things, almost as if its a grinning evil smile. 10+ inches I tried to add in some flare, to make the wings not just open slates of boringness. Note the matching black and yellow checkerboards, matching the bridge. Also, the vents, and alas, my favourite, the veins coming out from the head bionicle thing. This thing is a bio-machine, it is alive! The underside. Two heavy bombs, two big blades, and two small blades. These serve a purpose! ... so the small blades, you see.. ... are landing gear! Pictures don't do the beefiness of these things justice. Again, my favorite part. So, I hope with this update, I will atleast gain some more fans of this project! People don't seem to like this idea much or something! Thank's for lookin' any who, really appreciate and love comments, suggestions, etc,.. Oh, and remember..
  11. Van Halen - Right Now
  12. You should have seen me in my days of old, but every active person has not been here long enough to remember what I was like way back then! *Points at the member joined thingy* I remember a PM from Double T telling me to stop posting so darn much We all started somewhere! And just look at me now.. Now I'm annoying and use grammar!
  13. SHOOP DA WOOP legofie'd (I was bored.)
  14. Very cool, electronics are your forte I am guessing? I would only recommend thinner wheels, on the front atleast, for less drag as it goes around, possibly even on the back. The very thing belt like wheels would probably do great. Oh the front wheels independent? this could reduce drag.
  15. Thank you for taking the time to be so nice, it's a rare commodity these days
  16. Whoah. Compact, very cool
  17. Does cell have laser firing capabilities? I bet loads of people don't get the joke, but I don't care. IMMA FIRIN MAH LAZOR
  18. Great art you have, quite a knack. My only despair is the rubber blasters. Argh, they burn!
  19. Like many others, I say keep it around. A fan of a company isn't obliged to love every product line it produces, even if it is an ongoing theme. This could be compared to other companies aswell, toy or anything related. Just look at hot wheels. They've been producing vehicles for how long? Anyways, I see no reason to really get rid of it otherwise. The youngster's buy it up, and, there are older fans who get them too. If we got rid of bionicle, what would we make in place? Oh. And think of the idea in general. Action figures you buy, but when you get bored of them, you can combine, take apart, build to super giant's.. the thought at this makes me want to take a crack at my old bionicle building days. It's a cool theme, just not my forte, and, it's making money. 'Nuff said, it will not die.
  20. Very interesting so far. I also love the pictures they used on the slideshow - "Let's take a step back to the future for a second" and then a delorean pops up Good stuff.
  21. This is around the time that many consider the decline of castle, in which point I somewhat agree, but admittedly it still looks like a very playable set, and the tree is very well done. Thank you for the review!
  22. Saw ' Fractured' I think it was
  23. This one is my favorite from the bunch. Thanks for the time spent in making a review
  24. Oh, and here's one without the percents. Looks better I think.
  25. Sadly I just mostly moc, for some reason, I just can't play like I used to, but I miss it, so one day, with a playtable, and a nice setup, a brickwars game will be more than satisfying.
