  1. I have never had a defective set.
  2. Beck - Cellphone's Dead
  3. Haha, very cool, great idea. Nice work.
  4. One of my favourites is in this utterly AMAZING gallery. If you're a city lover, check out this guy's stuff, really *wub*
  5. Is there something deeper rooted to this smackdown, or is it just a random display of.. whacking? Is there some rules of smackdowns that I've missed? Why haven't I seen more around here! :-$ Ah well. Smackdown ON.
  6. 57: When you expect a woman's 'figure' to be printed onto their clothes. (What guy wants that?) :-|
  7. I have the ferrari pitstop set, and, yes, as far as I know, all ferrari sets have torso stickers. Nice review by the way, but I have other things on my list before this set :-P
  8. Personally I dont really like the new At-Te. It seems abit fickly and smaller than the old one for some reason. If it stays like that I think I'd be passing on it, but im still just searching for the republic gunship pics.
  9. I'm still addicted to Command and Conquer - Yuri's Revenge. Great game.
  10. I watched "The Life Aquatic". Although some people dont really.. 'get' .. the whole movie, I really quite enjoyed it, and there really isnt anything to understand in the movie, there is no plot, just go with the flow, and its overall enjoyable, ended making me want to watch it again.
  11. I have that set aswell, and immediately recognized, I bought for that very purpose, but the chrome peices use I have exhausted. Theyre pretty nifty, but dislike the yellow that makes it hard to incorperate.
  12. Heres the wrapped presents for my family, and our tree *wub* Kitty :-D My gifts :-$ Whole gallery Here
  13. Okay.. maybe half!.. for the lego fund.. :'-( :'-( I need to save for the future too, but beleive me, its hard passing up thinking that 50 dollars could be another one of these or those sets :'-( Especially with the new 2008 lineup. I need a job! :-P Oh oh.. and not to mention I have a birthday (Dec 31st) In which I will get more money from relatives.. thats big lego funds there :-$
  14. Whatever I come up with. I like to use other system lines vs other system lines. Mars mission vs Exo force is the latest it seems. Years ago I had brickwar battles against myself with Unitron forces Vs Exploriens. I was increadibly biased and loved Unitron so I always let them win. Haha! Good times.
  15. Without a doubt you are too, over that period. Now youre another mature member contributing to the group ;-) Albeit, mature doesnt mean you cant poke fun from time to time either, just look at our moderating team. Joking around but being serious when needed is the key :-D Phew. How about that for off topic :-$
  16. I got the new one with the 4 stormies and the black pilot one, I got it on sale for 37 bucks at k-mart, instead of 50, so we just added it to the gifts, and mum just pretended I didnt see it :-P Ok. So we did that with all my presents. But still..
  17. Merry Xmas all *wub* I will be uploading pictures of my lego-xmas to brickshelf later if people want pictars. I also got around 200 bucks total from my relatives. Sadly thats not for the lego fund, as I need to invest. INVEST. ..Lego money. For the future.
  18. :-D Hahah, well, I do love being logical sometimes, but I will also agree they are darn crappy. So I will just for you. BOOO!! I just shove them in their alien vehicles and holding tube things and let them sit, to make way for the real bad guys!
  19. Oh yes, it goes way back :-D Oh, blissful youth *wub* I bet some of the older admins could vouch for me there, but hey, I was young, and crazy, I knew nothing! ;-)
  20. I had a scary occurance building my imperial shuttle today, I was missing a very important technic peice, and I ended up using another color replacement from my own collection. I thought it was missing, no biggy. Then as I put the last wall peice on the top wing.. thing.. I hear the peice klink out of the large hollow 1x6x6. :-| Goodluck with your set though, Id hate to have that happen, I can happily say Ive never had to experience it, and hopefully am not about to *looks at 4 unopened lego gifts*
  21. It's probably better that way as you've repetedly created threads which could've been solved easily with the search function or abit of looking around. Hobbes is a great admin - albeit I don't know him well ona personal level. But I've been around long enough to know. But I see he has a feisty paw there if you get on the wrong side ;-) Well anyways, you could take this as a learning experience and get something out of it. But g'day then. I used to be annoying and obnoxious too! (Used to?.. or still am.. you decide!)
  22. Frankly I love the Aqua raiders, albeit maybe im abit biased, because they remind me of back when I was younger and the original aquanauts :-$ So of course I like them. When I got the Aqua raider base today for xmas, my brother even asked if that was the same one I got years ago :-D (The Neptune Discovery Lab, that is)
  23. I agree, it does seem very scarce, but Ive taken apart the nerf launcher, made a new module with the tube the launcher used, and beefed up the base with some computers and other things. For 90 dollars I would pass, I agree. On sale it is lovely, though. And none the less ive been entertained for ages with them flyin through the tubes :-D
  24. Heres all the parts in assorted baggies, and the horribly messed up instructions. Four astronauts and four aliens, with an extra gold visor (yay!) Not bad. The base of the horribly unstable alien craft. The wings move up and down, aswell as back and forth, the purpose I know not. Next we build the nerf section of the base. Basically technic. And the rest of the tube connectors. Heres the farthest I got the little missle to go. Its fairly dissapointing. Good thing I didnt expect much from this portion of the set. Heres the start of the command base. More of the main structure, will be adding lots of things to all the little beams. Heres a storage container and the surprisingly not flimsy radar. On this side we see the alien elevator. It uses a HORRIBLY long technic rod, I have not seen one of this proportion, its like, a foot and a half long. More of the inner base where all the little tubes shall go. All the connected tubes and such. I also encountered a problem. In the instructions it says for the end of the elevator prong to be touching the tube connector where it is shown here, but mine has a 1x space inbetween. No matter. Heres the completed base. + My knee. Again. Onto the spaceship. The bulk of it is just technic supporting beams, with some large slope peices covering it all up. More on that later. The white coverup. The middle section lifts up to store the overly large jetpack. As you see, the storage containers take up most the bulk in the back, and you can see the jetpack on the ground. Aswell as the trigger hand hold thing that allows you to swoosh it. Look, in the back! Lego Greebles! Despite the large cockpit, it only holds one person, laying down. The wings are really the saving grace - double layered with a nice two toned effect. Kitty nudged me this picture so its abit blurry, my apologies :-| Extra peices and or peices I have no idea where the hell they go. :-P Overall, the set is quite fun I must admit. Full price, I probably would not go for it, But I got it for just under 70 dollars. For that price I can confidently say its quite worth it, many useful peices, nice figures (other than the aliens) and the tube things are quite fun to boot, even though I liked the life on mars system more, which I also have. None the less, its very fun to make them shoot around. Alright, so its not much of a command base either, and it looks abit bare. But it's still fun, even if you ignore the nerf section. Overall I give it a hardy 3.5 out of 5, the openness and epic fail of a missile launcher are hard to get by, but overall, its a dandy set :-D Merry Christmas *wub*
  25. People seem to forget the main positive about them, is that if theyre easy to make lego can produce alot of them, which is good for the kits. In the recon ship I got 4 of the little aliens. Along with 2 astronauts, thats a total of 6 figures. You get so many aliens, you dont know what to do with them! Although, I digress, the point can also be brought up that theyre so useless, its not even worth having them in number. Which is still true in my case.
