  1. It was, y’all also it was great
  2. Does anyone know if the minifigure factory at the Leicester Square store is open? I’m not talking about the BAM tower I mean the ‘print your own design’ factory.
  3. this set looks weird I think I want it
  4. Picked up Punk Pirate ship today, was a bit confused by it only having 17 beatbits (when beatboxes for 17.99 have 16 beatbits!) but it’s a very nice set. Managed to get 6 more unique beatbits.
  5. Hmm okay, thanks! By the look of that brick maybe they’ll be neon light? Which, by the way, would be awesome for a nightclub MOC. Or fireworks.
  6. Earlier today, Lego released a teaser with the words 26th June and a new announcement is coming. What is that going to be? https://www.thebrickfan.com/lego-releases-mysterious-teaser-of-something-coming-june-26/
  7. I can also think of lots of uses for the coloured heads! Some great columns come to mind.
  8. Try the build a minifigure tower?
  9. Back to a purely Lego perspective: gosh, those coloured hairstyles will be awesome in the BAM tower if that ever opens up again.
  10. Sorry I’m pretty sure I switched off my DMs cuz I was getting too much spam
  11. As much as I don’t want to get into this disagreement again, all JK was talking about was the erasure of women as a concept and as a biologically distinct class, with different needs than men(abortion, period care, women having substantially higher rates of being victims of domestic abuse, etc etc) and the march forward of self-ID. She was saying she had a problem with non- biological women being allowed into women’s shelters and prisons, because of clear biological differences, such as strength and, well, you know. That’s why Lego standing on a certain side is clearly political. I think it’s great that Lego is showing the diversity of people’s orientations - but I wish it was just in City sets, where kids could have two dads, rather than this set. It’s a money-grab and extremely political. But that’s my opinion. EDIT: Just wanna say, I’m not disparaging your identity, just having a discussion! If you feel offended we can finish here.
  12. Maybe that’s what you think, but a heck of a lot of other people will see what Lego is really saying. Do you remember when JK said all women have periods and Lego replied with ‘we support diversity in all its forms etc etc’. That sure wasn’t supporting JK, and if you look at it cynically, it was supporting the other side. (Also: I respect you, and I don’t want you to feel I’m attacking you, I just want to have a discussion.)
  13. I think the reason why people are saying this set is political because this is Lego clearly taking a side in the trans culture war, on which there are varying opinions such as on self-ID and whether self-ID is a substitute for born sex.
  14. I wish they had faces
  15. How do we know about Tutankhamun?
  16. They’re cool!
  17. Love it!
  18. Birds of Paradise is strange. After the colours and general awesomeness of the flowers in January I wasn’t expecting this rather dry, subtle set.
  19. I must be the only person who’s happy about this, saying that I always wanted the Taj Mahal Creator expert set but wasn’t going to shell out £200+ for it. It’s a nice set, though I hope skylines come back soon!
  20. I suppose . Back on topic I agree it’s be nice to see some non-princessy mini dolls, like some good Mulan, Pocahontas sets
  21. There aren’t boys’ sets anymore, or at least I’d hope not.
  22. This discussion is pretty dead saying that all the pics have been released! All a bit meh apart from the hotel, in my opinion, and even that will have to wait until there’s interior photos.
  23. Wait the stage folds into a beatbox?!?!?! That is the awesomest thing. I love the pirate ship too. Great wave, even if there are a lot of recoloured moles. Glad to see the first series of beatbits is still being used so it’s possible to get them all.
  24. That was a sudden official release on Facebook!
  25. So, so worth it, especially if you’re a big Potter fan. There are so many tiny details and the build has some incredible techniques.
