Hey guys, I finally saw Star Wars: Rouge One and I must say it was a good popcorn flick. I enjoyed every minute of it and my inner geek was happy. It was both new as well as nostalgic and plenty of Easter eggs too! Sure it was slow at the the beginning and jumped around a lot but its forgivable. It was nice to see familiar faces too such as Jimmy Smits as Bail Organa. Also the mention of red leader, seeing Mon Mothma and of course Darth Vader back in action. The CGi characters of Grand Moff Tarkin and Princess Leia were great too. I knew Tarkin was CGI but wasn't sure about Princess Leia. I do admit it though that when I saw her at the end, i cried a bit because she has passed away. Now it makes me wander if she will be CGI for the remaining star wars movies in the future. Love the new planets as well as seeing the familiar ones such as Yavin and Mustafar. I'm surprised they didn't name Mustafar but i guess they did it for a reason so it would not introduce Darth Vader. So over all, it was a fun movie and I enjoyed it very much even though i was upset they killed off the main characters. What do you think about the movie? How did you feel about the ending as well as the CGI Tarkin and Princess Leia? Did you capture the Easter eggs too?

TRANSFORMERS: THE LAST KNIGHT GOOD OR BAD?
Delta62 replied to LegoRomania's topic in Culture & Multimedia
To be fairly honest, i wasn't impressed. I know its the first trailer, but i felt like I've seen this before. Don't get me wrong but I love transformers too, just not a fan of the Michael Bay Transformer Movies. -
Nice design and use of parts, vert cute indeed!

One word, beautiful!!!! That's as best as I can describe it. -
Good idea, mine is to get back into building with Lego again and something different than the realm of sci fi! Isn't it funny that most people don't even stick to their resolutions lol?

I got Lego speed Champions Ferrari racer on amazon. Can't wait until it comes!

Lego is more than a toy, its a tool for the mind! Nice article too, you are never too old for Lego regardless of age. I'm 34 years old and still collect Lego. :D

haven't seen rouge one yet, might not until this Friday. Yeah, the sets look great and im not sure which one to get lol.

Fantastic job! Very clever use of parts too.

Thanks for listening guys, depression and anxiety isn't fun. im not trying to get people to feel bad for me or doing it for attention, I just want them to know that its out there and your not alone if you suffer from it. I am seeing a therapist and trying out some new medicine to help me too. I recommend people who have this to do that, it really helps. Other than that, ive been doing better than before. Yes, I love star wars, its my life and joy. I've heard about Nar Eurbrikka though im not a fan of role playing games but ill check it out. To get myself back into building, just got a Lego speed champions set to get me back into building again. the set caught my interest because i love Ferrari's too. its as close to owning the real thing as I'll ever get lol. I'll check out New England Lug too, sounds interesting.

Thanks for the ideas guys, I do some of those things too but always give the creator credit. I agree, building Instructions are also a big help when trying to modify a model or build something new.

Hey guys, as an AFOL, my main genera has always been science fiction and fantasy. What can I say, I love them both to bits but there comes a point in life where I want to expand my horizon with Lego. I see a lot of neat creations here other than the realm of sci fi but its also overwhelming because its out of my comfort zone. I am willing to try something new but not sure what. My second love has always been fast cars but can't build them from scratch, at least not with out instructions. I've used to collect the Lego Ferrari series back in the day too. Its always been that or star wars lol. Any pointers would be helpful, i am clueless as to what to do because i am getting back into building after Christmas. My winter vacation from college has just begun and i need something to keep me occupied. Does anyone else feel the same way when it comes to trying something new with Lego?

I'll give it a look, google is a good place for looking up Lego groups.

Nicely executed and good luck with the contest! Lots of detailing going on here which I like to see, especially with the rock work.

Another quick and fun build in Lego Digital Designer. I don't have the parts to make the real thing but that wont stop me from trying! Enjoy! Link to website if images are not up: http://www.moc-pages.com/moc.php/435259

Never saw the series but this is a beautiful build! Love the use of Lego bricks and technic pieces used together. Very clever idea!

Simple, yet effective! This gives me fond memories of my old Lego Pirates sets. I really like the amount of detail put into it as well.
