Thanks, it looks great next to 42100. People would think to play with both in one scenario and get disappointed by the scale not matching. But for a toy it's not that big problem

Here is an issue in this official building image: They used a dark blue 3L beam instead regular blue at the mudguard in the back :D Maybe too hard for 10+

42112 and 42114 has only rendering 360 degress vidoes and no functional ones. Functions of 42113 works and looks great, but imho the tilt function is way too fast. There is no worm gear used, just bevel gears to make the 90 degress angle for axles.

For the first leaks and images, I was really disappointed by this set. 3 motors, 3 functions? sounds very boring. But now with the official and clear images and descriptions, I like this set more and more. The idea behind the gearbox is just great. If the app does what it promises, I think this is gonna be a great set.

Exactly, let it be 10% or 15%. If the number is low(er), it makes no sense to produce a B-model and waste many time to produce the instructions therefor as well. Besides that, without B-model it is much more space on the box to set the real model in scene.

Totally agree on this. For C+ models or licensed sets its more or less ok, but a shame for regular sets

B-models of 2H2019 are useless and boring and you misunderstand the idea behind the gearbox in the Volvo

The second half of 2020 is one of the best waves ever. All models are very innovative with stuff never seen before and not that boring as other years. All models (even Ducati) have gearboxes and driving-ring-parts. Models become more technical then other years.

All orange parts are also available in dbg even in this set (thanks to dbg tapered panel as well). It is very easy to remove the civil rescue thing and make it real military.

Looking at that and other pics, has anyone noticed that there is the new clutch from 42100 underneath the drum? Between the yellow and dbg axle

You're absolutely right. In the app screenshot, the tipping function has a green light and the mode is in N, which means just tipping is available. I guess that the app disables the tipping buttons when the stick goes to any driving mode and vise versa. The driving and steering function is disabled on N. It is an interesting mix of app Interface and physical gearbox, not that boring as expected. Beside that on N (tipping) it is possible to move the truck by hand

The lever to control the gearbox seems to be the new (from Bugatti) orange one. The L-Motor controls this lever with app. In neutral mode, the motor turns 90 degrees and the gearbox is unlocked, for driving or tipping the motor rotates -90 or +90 to select the gearbox. The app knows when you trigger the driving mode (and the gearbox is in proper position), so the different speeds are from software controlling different XL-speeds

42052 has another gearbox design. This one is like 42042 - 4 lever, 4 driving rings with direction independent of each other

The bidirectional gearbox is a good improvement over 42052. It is nice to see that each function has its own lever with independent direction which is much better for playability

As I said in an earlier post, Lego has to surprise us. I think a C+ model with gearbox is a surprise 'cause nobody expects that by 3 motors for 3 functions
