  1. 'Cause with no stickers, it is not recognizable as A60H :D
  2. german translation, better quality. It is interesting to see different speeds on the interface, like 42109, but unfortunately no shortcuts for custom or programmable movements
  3. The new 51515 mindstorms brings the mudguard in white. With this release, it is possible to build the front of the hauler completely in white. The model looks then with (some minor changes and) yellow tipper like Liebherr hauler, for example TA230. Requires changes on rims and orange rails, but for guys who love the Liebherr more, it is possible to do.
  4. Or the front of upcoming 42114 in white, which looks with yellow tipper than more like a Liebherr hauler.
  5. The motor allows better and stronger connection. Instead of using one axle hole, a frame or structure can be connected to the pin holes as well. This might be the better and stronger joice for articulated steering. It is the same with wheels and hubs. A wheel can fit to its center axle with no problems, but is much stronger and better connected with additional pins at wheel hub. So the main difference to this new motor is, that it rotates a platform of 3x3 studs instead one axle, which is much stronger.
  6. I guess the new horizontal motor is exactly the same one as in the new 51515 mindstorms set
  7. 'Cause the 2-port-hub is cheaper, meaning a cheaper price for the entire set. Furthermore the 42109 does not use the gyro sensor anyway, so there is no need for this hub in this model. A simple model that can drive and steer only does not require an overpriced hub with features not used. The AAA-hub can handle the L and XL motor together as well, but in this set, you get an overpriced hub with 2 ports and one sensor unused.
  8. Yes, an interesting waste of money and ressources when models like 42109 uses 2 ports on 4-port-hub when you have the AAA hub for that purpose exactly with no restriction besides mounting points etc ;)
  9. I do not think that we will get a major update, all things needed are there - custom controls (even limited) and multible hub support (great). The strange thing is more, that hardly anyone does not really use it. For customers, its seems too "complex" to build programs and controls, and it requires indeed some excercise. But at the end of the day, all is possible in PU app. Having a hub with one or two ports spare screames to adding lights, but is unfortunatlely not easy to do. This is the main restriction in the entire C+ system, also such Technic models are not longer published to build or customize own things. Even Grohl said he has to use a third party app to control his 42100 snow groomer alternate model, so it is a bit a shame when a designer cannot use a official Lego app for own builds. Lego is made to build things over an over again and let your creativity blown, but with more and more C+ models, this creativity is blown away. All those models are not made for building own things, so the question is, it is still Lego? In the 42114, we get a simple model for 250 EUR that is neither rebuildable nor customizable.
  10. I think it is just a matter of time when we see sensors in Technic models, similar to the Boost or Spike ones. Maybe each flagship introduces something new, this one the new motor, another years one maybe a sensor. It is a bit waste of opportunities to left one port of the hub unused and uncontrollable with the own C+ app. I guess many owners want to add a headlight in the fourth port, but cannot control this with the app, so an own profile with third party app or PU app is needed. That's a bit too bad. It would be even better in this price point, when the fourth port becomes fully useable with the official C+ app.
  11. Unfortunately not, it was hard to do with the existing parts of the main model and there are no gears or racks over to do that. Furthermore the second (first fixed axle) drives the fake engine, so it seems with that parts not possible to steer this axle, but can be of course a cool mod. You can see the drive train in one pic here: https://tim-application.online/showroom/?model=ttl20 It is indeed possible to extend the steering axle to the back, but not with the existing parts.
  12. No, the flagship ist the august model. Lambo 42115 is the UCS model with one number higher like 42055 (flagship) to 42056 and 42082 (flagship) to 42083
  13. But this model is rather boring for a flagship, nothing new here, no new parts and not that innovative. Maybe the building process is boring as well especially the dumb. What makes this model a flagship. TLG has to surprise us.
  14. Has anyone played with the idea that in this set we possibly get printed parts? The mudguard print is confimed, so why not for all other parts. I mean, it is the flagship like UCS with high price point.
  15. It is secured with 15L beam in the middle. The boom is 5 studs wide, not 4 studs like in the main model. You can see this by the 3L blue pins or on instruction screenshot. In reality, this model is really solid and nearly indestructable. The boom does not bent either, the center beam fixes all 4 panels. Stability was one major (beside fake engine) point in the design process.
  16. It is separated, but not possible due the limitation of parts. In this model it is more like 42008
  17. Maybe due the lightning. To be honest, I am not that expert in making photos :D
  18. Hello folks, I wondered why there is no official alternate build for the 42108 Mobile Crane (sometimes lovely called Yellow Parts Pack), so I decided to create this cool American Tow Truck as an alternate model. This alternate uses 1172 parts from the main model. Spare parts are not needed. The dimensions of the truck are as follow: 52 cm (L) x 15 cm (W) x 18 cm (H) with extended wheel lift (20.5 in x 5,9 in x 7 in) The model reaches a total height of 40 cm (15,7 in) with fully extended arm. In scale, it fits the 42078 Mack Anthem or 42098 Car Transporter very well with those tires. The functions are as follow: HOG-Steering workable 6-cylinder inline engine with nice clicking-sound under the hood openable hood with locking function both doors can be opened raising/lowering the boom - operable on both sides of the model extendable arm working winch with locking function extendible wheel lift Because the lag of differential in the main model, the inline engine is just driven by one wheel and not by the entire axle. The playability of the American Tow Truck is just great. You can use either the wheel lift to hook and tow cars or other trucks, or you can use the giant boom to rescue some crashed vehicles with the strong winch. The model is based on a real American Tow Truck. Here are some pictures of the model you easily can build on rebrickable: With realease of 42107 and some rare panels in red, this model can be build to 100% in red instead of yellow. Blue, black and white are also possible with a few changes. Since 42115 and the release of lime panels and connectors, this truck can be fully build in lime instead yellow with some minor changes. instruction The instruction comes in high quality and clear images for builders with an age of atleast 10 years. With 5 parts per step, the instruction is very easy to follow and has 234 total pages with a total of 347 steps. The model is divided into several submodels and steps with different camera views as common for modern Technic sets. Rendering the rope was a bit tricky because it counts not as a part, but the instruction steps are very clear and understandable to deal with it. And the best thing is: You do not need to make or release the nodes on the rope - you can use the rope with nodes on both ends from the main model as it is. Here are some random example pages of the instruction: You can find this MOC with building instruction on rebrickable: here Finally a cool 360 degress view and review
  19. And also no set with tracks 'cause 2019 had three of them :D
  20. Yes, I also can't consider the none-B-model-policy good.
  21. It seems that there are just alternate builds for smaller (and non-licensed) sets yet and in the future. I measured 14 studs for the drum in diameter, would mean one half is 14 studs by 7. This is a huge part and both of them may fill the half of the package. But it is nice too see something new and different here.
  22. The cabin is 13 studs wide and 15 in total with mudguards. It fits the 42008 or 42024 very well in scale. Nicely done
