  1. Let's play your game Mr. Turtle. • I will buy the Animated Series Batmobile — it's relatively cheap (although very overpriced), and is a good display model with interesting minifigures • Animated Series Gotham City D2C (great set), Animated Series Batmobile (very good set) and, uh... Bat-Pod (I guess it's pretty well-built, but I could not care less for it) • I don't necessarily hate any of the sets, but I absolutely don't care at all for the Mech, the Batcave, and the Bat-Pod (all for different reasons) — I hate the fact that in a five-set wave, there's a single regular set which isn't a gimmick or a subtheme of any kind • Superman-based set, that's it — just put some effort into it, don't make the minifigure crap (like Batman from The Batman), include Lois some villains
  2. You might reconsider this scenario, because something like that ain't ever happening.
  3. This sounds like a threat. @CloneCommando99 Hide while you can. If you think Batman hates Superman then you really need to re-familiarise yourself with Batman lore. They're literally best friends.
  4. Very interesting. Sony and LEGO are collaborating to make a video game, which is described as essentially 'Horizon Forbidden West but LEGO'. No idea if it's just set in the world of Horizon, or if it follows Aloy (I hope the former). Nevertheless, this means we'll probably get more sets in some time, maybe even a whole wave.
  5. Getting at least a single Superman set next year for the first time in seven (!) years will be enough to satisfy me honestly. The expectations for this theme are so low that it's almost impossible not to be pleasantly surprised by anything they'll do with the start of the DCU.
  6. I really like this set. Would've been a good deal at 400€, but I fell like 460€ is really pushing it. The build looks awesome. The facade is very detailed, and the interior has quite a lot of space too. I don't mind it being open from the back like some do, but I agree that the overall proportions are off. Minifigures are fantastic. The Orcs all look awesome, glad they included so many variants in a single set. Sauron looks great. Gollum's arms are too short, but I like the overall look (does he have a printed waist cloth?). I really like the Fell Beast too. Looks good, and it's pretty substantial for a GWP. The problem I have with this set is that it bas almost the same price as Rivendell, but feels nowhere near as good. And to be fair, it's mostly because of the chosen location itself. But still, if I had to buy one of these sets, Rivendell would be in my cart in a heartbeat. I hope LEGO takes this theme further tho. Not everyone wants or can afford a <500€ D2C, and it would be nice to get smaller sets. I understand if they don't want to make it an evergreen theme like Harry Potter, but it still would be awesome to get a 100€ diorama.
  7. I really like this tiny wave. It introduces two very desirable dinosaurs, and surpsingly includes all main characters from Chaos Theory without any repeats (which this theme is known for). Bumpy is easily the weakest set of this wave tho. It does a great job of looking like a Pokemon, but it's a poor representation of a dinosaur. There's also just nothing particularly thrilling about it. Stegosaurus Discovery, on the other hand, is my favourite set out of those. There's a lot going on here, and I like what I see. Minifigures are cool, the dinosaurs are great (even though Stegosaurus could've used a little more articulation). The builds are great too — the truck, the tree and the campsite work well together. Allosaurus Transport Truck is really good too. The additional guard is a surprise, but not an unwelcome one. Allosaurus looks really good. The build has a unique look and colour scheme, which I like.
  8. I meant regular sets or at least something close. Brickheadz are just a gimmick.
  9. I hate when LEGO is locking desirable sets behind a Day One purchase of a 500€ D2C. Hope LEGO plans to do something more with this IP than just huge D2C sets.
  10. That is if the movie makes its release date. They are really rushing the production. But if the movie manages to release in July 2025, then we should expect the wave to release in April or May.
  11. I don't consider the Crystalized Nya mech as a Titan mech for three reasons: 1. It's not a Ninja mech, but a Samurai one. 2. It doesn't have the word Titan in its name. 3. It doesn't have white in its colour scheme. Whatever anyone says, I think we're still bound to get an actual Nya Titan Mech at some point.
  12. The bigger Simba is an exact copy of the one that leaked all this time ago (minus more tan bricks on his chest), so no surprises there. It's a good set, but I feel like something is missing. Not a particularly thrilling set to get imo.
  13. Then this is just a poor module system imo. If you can't display the whole "most detailed Hogwarts Castle yet" together, then what's even the point?
  14. But that would mean that they'd have to release an unfinished set with an empty space for a module, which would be horrible for various reasons.
  15. That's really cool actually, but it brings two questions to mind: 1. What happens to the module that was included in the actual Great Hall set? Is it just thrown aside and ignored? 2. Shouldn't it be open? The ones in the Great Hall are. It just works much better, both from a play or display point of view.
  16. Well, I do like the last two sets to be revealed. Potions Classrom is a really cool standalone set that includes a lot of interesting pieces. I don't see how it could connect to the "most detailed Hogwarts Castle yet", nor do I know if it does. Tournament Arrival is a fantastic set with incredible builds, it doesn't interest me in the slightest tho. The minifigures are great, and I'm glad we got this set. After looking at all the official pictures, I do like the Diagon Alley set a bit more. It's a pretty cute display piece. Why is the signpost floating in the official pictures tho? LEGO is getting much worse at making coherent set photos Great Hall's exterior also looks better now that I fully see it, even tho it's still really plain. The interior is just as horrible as it was before tho.
  17. It's not like the DC or Star Wars waves are much bigger (only one set more), and yet they've revealed all the sets.
  18. Wow, the biggest two sets are absolutely incredible, some of the best we've ever seen for this theme. The polybag is really cool. Great way to get two minifigures, and it looks like it connects with the Temple City and/or Battle Arena. Zane's Motorcycle is rather mediocre tho. Should've included a Wolf Mask. Zane without a shoulder pad and an oversized vehicle is not a particularly good deal when you can get much better sets. The Source Dragon... I simply have no words. This might be one of the most beautiful LEGO sets I've ever seen. The build is perfect, so well built. My only complaint is that for that price, it really should've included more minifigures — a Ninja and a Wolf Mask. Tournament Temple City is also stunning. Not sure if it's a D2C after all, but I'm really glad that they decided to make a huge Ninjago set based on a current Season, that's not just an expansion of Ninjago City line. The dark blue, dark brown and tan color scheme works really well for the buildings. The rocky base is great, and I love the dragon that they've included, it's really unique. The minifigure selection is awesome.
  19. Weird that this is the only theme without June set pictures. Hopefully they get revealed soon enough, as the wave sounds very interesting.
  20. It's really common for sets to release in June in most countries, with North America getting an August release date.
  21. Oh wow, I was so sure I'd be buying the 20€ Simba, but they messed up his face so much. No way I'd be displaying that monstrosity.
  22. The Batcave is okay I guess. The builds look more coherent than most 4+ ones, and some of the minifigures have new prints, I think? Check @PenPlays_ on Twitter.
  23. That's a pretty cool wave, even though I couldn't care less about those sets. The Microfighter is well built and an awesome way to get a detailed Rex. The Mech is ridiculous, I do like the wings tho. The Mandalorian sets have fantastic builds that I particularly enjoy, but Season 3 was some of the worst Star Wars media ever imo, so it's not like I'm thrilled about the sets or anything. Surprising to hear that the Cal Kestis set is a Star Destroyer after all, wonder why there was so much mystery and confusion around this particular set.
  24. Surprising to see the sets so soon, especially since we haven't seen June sets for most themes. Anyhow, this is definitely one of my favourite LEGO Marvel waves ever. The sets are absolutely spectacular. Milano is incredible. Even better than Benatar, and that already was one of my favourite Marvel sets ever. I might have to sell it and exchange it for the new Milano. The minifigures are fantastic, really glad they've got leg printing. The interior has a lot of cool features. Iron Legion vs. Hydra is fantastic too. The minifigures are awesome, and the build might be the best one we've ever gotten for a battle pack. It looks so well, and actually doesn't feel like a generic piece count filler. Thor vs. Surtur is definitely my favourite from this wave, but only by a slight margin since it's based on one of my favourite MCU movies. The build is incredible, the figure is so well built. Two Fire Demons are unexpected, but they're a fantastic addition. The posable Mjolnir and the chains to attach Surtur's crown to Thor are incredible features. Avengers vs. Leviathan looks awesome. The build is substantial and really well designed. Minifigures are all repeats, but I don't mind it since the set does a fantastic job of representing the battle. Avengers Assemble is yet another incredible set. Probably the closest we've gotten yet to a Marvel diorama. The build works extremely well for a display piece, while the amount of minifigures is great and fills the build perfectly. Then there's Potted Groot. The set is really well built, but the design is even more unsettling than the movie one (I've always found potted Groot from the end of GotG weirdly disturbing). It's mostly the mouth, which is thinner and differently coloured than the rest of his face. Overall, six incredible 9–10/10 sets, and a single decent one. Yeah, that's probably my favourite LEGO Marvel wave of all time. Since 2021 I care half as much for Marvel as I did beforehand, but even now I find the idea of buying all those sets tempting (even though I'll just get Surtur and maybe exchange Benatar for Milano).
