  1. Superman movies... sad atmosphere? What the hell are you talking about Turtle?
  2. So that's it? What, we some kind of Aslume Squad?
  3. They clearly have handcuffs. With a big lock, too! How are they supposed to escape this evil contraption?
  4. If my calculations are correct, LEGO has covered only 27 of the top 250 IMDb movies. That's barely 10%, which means we've still got a long way to go. Now that I'm writing this on a LEGO DC (but actually LEGO Batman) forum, I realise we have truly gone insane beyond redemption.
  5. LEGO on their way to make Schindler's List sets: 🤑🤑🤑
  6. Made this right now, glancing at all the sets using Brickset. It's kinda random, some spots are interchangeable, but that's the final list: 1. The Riddler Riddle Racer 2. Scarecrow Harvest of Fear 3. Egghead Mech Food Fight 4. The Joker Notorious Lowrider 5. The Scuttler 6. The Animated Series Gotham City 7. The Justice League Anniversary Party 8. The Joker Manor 9. Catwoman Catcyle Chase 10. Gorilla Grood Goes Bananas
  7. I'm pretty sure no other Robin has developed Batman so much as a character, so respect the goat. I'm fairly sure we've discussed it already at some point, but I'll still ask — how? In what way does the movie casually suggest that life is meaningless, that there are no genuine moral values, etc.
  8. I mean, it's a 60€ set that includes 430 pieces. Until this one, same sized Batmobiles have cost ⅔ of that. It's not a good deal, and I'll wait until I can get it for 30–40€.
  9. You know, that's a good idea, but I'd take it further — who needs a box of green bricks? Trash idea. Swap it out for a nice Batmobile. Simply awesome.
  10. It wouldn't be even half as exciting as it sounded in your head. Imagine a box... full of literally just green bricks... to do what with? Build a hammer for Green Lantern?
  11. If they don't include Dick in the next movie, I'm gonna get really worried for the future of Reeves corner of DC. Batman is cool, but he needs relationships to develop as a character. There's a reason most movies with him focus on his villains.
  12. I fully agree with this. There's a difference between having a distinct aesthetic and being grounded — I think The Batman is more the former than the latter, unlike Nolan's trilogy. I really hope Reeves won't try to keep it toned-down and realistic. While I like the idea of two Batmans — Reeves more grounded, Gunn's more fantastical — I think including things like Freeze's ray and suit isn't any more goofy than the main character running around in a bat-themed costume. I don't want Scarecrow in a business suit, wearing the mask like two times and barely using the toxin. I want a maniac in an actual Scarecrow costume, preferably with a scythe, spraying the gas on Batman. Same goes for other villains — give Mr. Freeze a goofy suit and a freeze ray, or just don't adapt him at all. Clayface is a trickier case, because he actually started out as a grounded character without any powers, but I think we should just use the Rule of Cool — another serial killer, or a huge monster made out of clay? The answer is rather obvious imo.
  13. There is no source. It's genuinely just speculation on r/TheBatmanFilm. Google Mr. Freeze The Batman Grounded Reddit. It feels like they speculate about it every month, there are also a few ridiculous fan arts, for example one where Freeze uses a taped-over SWAT suit. I remember that at one point someone said What if Mr. Freeze in The Batman Part II doesn't actually use the freeze-ray, and his way of freezing people is just killing them (since they don't move when they're dead). Funniest thing ever.
  14. If I had a nickel for every time legoturtle bought a LEGO Batman™ 76252 Batcave™ – Shadow Box set, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.
  15. I suppose he just buys them to watch for the first time instead of streaming or renting?
  16. Not gonna lie, when I saw stu._d's hint about it 'sounding Krusty', I immediately thought of Krusty Krab. You popped my dream bubble unfortunately
  17. So much to unpack here. First of all, I have absolutely no idea what you mean by 'for the sphincter ear', but I love it. Great to see you embraced LEGO's logic of DC consisting of basically just Batman, but DC is just as much about flying guys as Marvel. Just because the most popular character doesn't have superpowers, it doesn't mean other ones don't. Then there's the 'BaTmAn Is FoR aDuLtS' part. I thought we were over it as a society, but I guess not. I'll just say that Batman is as much for kids as it is for adults. I've been introduced to Batman through a PSP LEGO video game as a few-year-old, and I've loved him ever since — as a kid, as a teenager, as an adult. Then again, I know you're just toying will all of us. We're all a part of your game, and most of us don't even realise it. We're the inmates, but you run the Aslume.
  18. Both, none. I'm serious about the eye thing and Filoni — he started with animated project which allow more stylistic choices (such as more prominent eye colours), but for some reason he started adapting them too literally into live-action. It's a really weird choice that I hate, because not only does it look utterly ridiculous, but it has to be extremely uncomfortable for all the actors involved. As for LEGO, while they could make normal eyes for those characters, it's hard to blame them since the eyes of live-action Filoni characters like Ezra or Ahsoka are so prominent.
  19. The minifigures look great. I still hate Filoni and his weird obsession with colouring eyes in live-action.
  20. Doesn't Batman have superpowers like Spider-Man tho? I mean, there's a reason he's called Batman. That means that he's half bat, half man. He definitely has to have some bat powers akin to Spider-Man's spider powers — flying, echolocation, hibernation? At least two of those have to be a thing according to my calculations. Surely if he didn't have superpowers he'd just be called Manman, right?
  21. While it's definitely surprising that we're getting our first LEGO video game based on an existing video game (I extremely hope they just use the world tho, not the story as it'd be too repetitive), Horizon is quite possibly the most perfect choice they could make. I can already imagine fighting a Thunderjaw with all of its pieces falling off one by one. Not to mention the possibility of more LEGO sets, which would be most excellent.
  22. I wouldn't expect characters like Guy Gardner, Hawkgirl etc. in those sets. They'll most likely appear in one or two scenes, so calling them 'side characters' is a bit generous. Granted, we don't know the exact extent of their role, but Gunn is smart enough not to sideline Superman in his own movie for the sake of world-building. Let's hope they include all the villains tho (unless it's just Luthor, but it seems unlikely) after the horrible recent LEGO MCU villains streak.
