Brickworld 2019 retrospective and some of my MOCs
Jeffinslaw replied to zephyr1934's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Depending on what night that picture was taken, I was either stuffing my face with Giordanos, Portillos or a pizza place up in Milwaukee called Ians which explains why I wasn't there. -Jeffinslaw -
Fx Bricks (Michael Gale) announces Fx Track system

Correct me if I am wrong, as I sadly was not able to attend the talk that night, are the switches R40 or R104? -Jeffinslaw -
Yes! I figured this out for myself. For XL, use #33 from Danco, for XXL, use #81, also from Danco. -Jeffinslaw

Very clever! Looks great! -Jeffinslaw

Sweet! By the way, don't know if you've noticed yet @ritztoys but I have a new instruction set out if you are interested. Something a bit more "Big" ;) -Jeffinslaw

I appreciate it! Those are some good modifications. I'll have to check out how mine is and might implement these changes myself! -Jeffinslaw

Can you tell me what step that issue was in? The engine can handle R40 and up but yes, it does look great on R104+ -Jeffinslaw

@ritztoys: fantastic job! You're the first person I've seen who has completed the build and posted pictures of it. What did you think of the instructions? Easy to follow along? What about the build in general? By the way, what was your total part cost? -Jeffinslaw

Designer of the SP 4-10-2 here happy to hear you like it! I try to put motors in the boiler where possible but sometimes, it isn't possible due to how the boiler is constructed. Stay tuned for more steam engine/diesel releases! Got something pretty special coming soon. -Jeffinslaw -
Very happy to hear you like it! Share some pictures when you are all done! -Jeffinslaw

Looks awesome! Nice job! -Jeffinslaw

Wow! Excellent job! I found that cutting off the pin portion of part 3749 in light grey works well for the eccentric crank connection. -Jeffinslaw

Stay tuned! The team is looking at creating instructions for a large articulated steam engine. Trying to decide which one would be best to offer. -Jeffinslaw

Hope you enjoy the final product! It took quite a while to get that engine working just right. Good luck squeezing the FX brick in there! It will be very tight! Let me know if you have any questions (I am the designer). -Jeffinslaw

Nate Brill has designed some drivers that are 3D printed by shapeways. They are some nice wheels. -Jeffinslaw
