  1. Hey now, you're showing all of the secrets ;) looks great! Can't wait to see it finished! I got a few videos of mine running during BrickWorld (click the pictures): MVI_9215 by Jeffinslaw, on Flickr MVI_9214 by Jeffinslaw, on Flickr -Jeffinslaw
  2. I have some 6w American diesels for sale as well as an 8w American steam engine. Shoot me a PM if interested. -Jeffinslaw
  3. Depending on what night that picture was taken, I was either stuffing my face with Giordanos, Portillos or a pizza place up in Milwaukee called Ians which explains why I wasn't there. -Jeffinslaw
  4. Of course! Happy to help! Let us know if you have any questions. -Jeffinslaw
  5. Correct me if I am wrong, as I sadly was not able to attend the talk that night, are the switches R40 or R104? -Jeffinslaw
  6. Should be able to do it for around $500 all in. That depends heavily on how many pieces you already have in your collection. -Jeffinslaw
  7. Yes! I figured this out for myself. For XL, use #33 from Danco, for XXL, use #81, also from Danco. -Jeffinslaw
  8. Very clever! Looks great! -Jeffinslaw
  9. Oh man, do post pictures of that! I bet they will look awesome! -Jeffinslaw
  10. I try to design with widely available parts to keep the total cost down. My suggestion is to go with the finished white option and paint them. It's the best cost wise. Can use gloss black spray paint to match the gloss of LEGO easily. -Jeffinslaw
  11. Happy to hear that! Let us know what you think of the instructions! I chose not to number mine 4014 just because everyone usually numbers theirs that. But that is the default decal option when ordering the instructions so lots of people can make theirs 4014. Thank you! -Jeffinslaw
  12. Sweet! By the way, don't know if you've noticed yet @ritztoys but I have a new instruction set out if you are interested. Something a bit more "Big" ;) -Jeffinslaw
  13. I appreciate it! Those are some good modifications. I'll have to check out how mine is and might implement these changes myself! -Jeffinslaw
  14. Can you tell me what step that issue was in? The engine can handle R40 and up but yes, it does look great on R104+ -Jeffinslaw
  15. @ritztoys: fantastic job! You're the first person I've seen who has completed the build and posted pictures of it. What did you think of the instructions? Easy to follow along? What about the build in general? By the way, what was your total part cost? -Jeffinslaw
  16. Designer of the SP 4-10-2 here happy to hear you like it! I try to put motors in the boiler where possible but sometimes, it isn't possible due to how the boiler is constructed. Stay tuned for more steam engine/diesel releases! Got something pretty special coming soon. -Jeffinslaw
  17. Very happy to hear you like it! Share some pictures when you are all done! -Jeffinslaw
  18. Looks awesome! Nice job! -Jeffinslaw
  19. Wow! Excellent job! I found that cutting off the pin portion of part 3749 in light grey works well for the eccentric crank connection. -Jeffinslaw
  20. Stay tuned! The team is looking at creating instructions for a large articulated steam engine. Trying to decide which one would be best to offer. -Jeffinslaw
  21. Hope you enjoy the final product! It took quite a while to get that engine working just right. Good luck squeezing the FX brick in there! It will be very tight! Let me know if you have any questions (I am the designer). -Jeffinslaw
  22. Thanks a TON for these! Will help a lot of people while designing digitally. -Jeffinslaw
  23. Here you go! https://www.shapeways.com/shops/shupp-s-brick-train-stuff?section=Medium-Small+Train+Wheels&s=0 -Jeffinslaw
  24. Nate Brill has designed some drivers that are 3D printed by shapeways. They are some nice wheels. -Jeffinslaw
  25. Anyone have any suggestions for what size to use? Need both sizes. -Jeffinslaw
