  1. Not original at all, but here are two popular ideas repeated for emphasis: 1. UCS A-Wing with display stand and four minifigures: A-Wing Pilot, Mon Mothma, General Maxine, and Admiral Ackbar 2. Hammerhead Corvette with four minifigures: two crew members, one of Raddus’s lieutenants, and General Draven
  2. No doubt—I’m a bit worried about how things will be next year. Maybe I’m being paranoid, but part of me wants to complete my licensed minifigure wanted list in case they put restrictions on selling Star Wars figs.
  3. Thanks! We’ll see what Bricklink is like now that TLG has control, but yeah, I figure that it should be fairly affordable given that I have: a. Over one whole year to acquire the pieces b. Set 75218, which seems to be the backbone of the Candy X-Wing (the only changes are cosmetic, as far as I can tell) and c. I don’t care if it’s 100% accurate as long as it looks good
  4. I’m actually amazed it’s “only” $300. Well, I decided that I’ll be Bricklinking it in time for Christmas 2020!
  5. I’m honestly glad for that perspective, thank you. To be fair, I don’t have the normal Resistance Y-Wing yet, either. I guess I was just holding out for a Jess Pava or Cai Threnalli figure. I don’t like Zorri Bliss’s costume design, but like I said, that may very well change after I see what her character actually does in the movie (unless she’s like Captain Phasma, in which case I think everyone will be a little disappointed). She’d better fly a Y-Wing, though, that’s all I can say.
  6. Speaking of X-Wings, while I appreciate the rereleases of rare figures, I can’t help but feel a bit disappointed that we’ve gotten a new A-Wing, Y-Wing (and Y-Wing Microfighter), X-Wing, Snowspeeder 4+, and Skyhopper Microfighter, and the only updates helmet we get is the Skyhopper Pilot? -Poe and Snap look great, no need to fix what isn’t broken -Is Zorri Bliss really worth getting twice at the expense of a new pilot? I guess we’ll find out next week!! -No side printing on the Wedge and Skyhopper helmets is just plain lazy and insulting. I understand in the case of Wedge, where it’s an existing print, and little kids might not care about the skylight difference, but the Skyhopper helmet really needs side printing, especially given its prominence in the Millennium Falcon training remote scene:
  7. December 26th release date is interesting. It’s January 1 in the US. Our prices are still the best (not trying to brag, it’s just unfair that way), but ours, too, are creeping up. In 2006 an X-Wing cost $50 In 2012 an X-Wing cost $60 In 2015 an X-Wing cost $80 In 2020 an X-Wing will cost $90 I don’t care how many pieces it has, all those ships are about the same size, and $90 is way too much for a small starfighter.
  8. Have you heard any rumors?
  9. I love the idea of the Speeder Bikes and the Endor Bunker Battle, but I feel like it's way too early for another AT-ST. Maybe by 2021 I'd be ready for a new chicken walker.
  10. Okay, time for me to eat crow for when I said there would probably only be 4 sets. However, I really hope this line doesn't turn into Star Wars, where it's impossible to collect every set unless you're a millionaire. The Brickheadz are an easy pass for me, mostly because I missed the first wave and they cost a ton on the aftermarket already.
  11. You will not be disappointed for that price. I paid full price on day one. I was hesitant, because it looked a bit like a larger version of the recent System-scale Y-Wings, but it’s honestly my favorite Star Wars set of all time, and I imagine only the UCS Falcon could top it. I strongly suspect that my relatives may have gotten me the Tantive IV and Darth Vader’s Castle (the latter 40% off on Cyber Monday) for Christmas. My family usually indulges my LEGO obsession, bless them!
  12. Vader's Castle is 40% off in the US (IIRC it was 30% off last year). But yeah, I haven't seen any other Cyber Monday deals on Amazon. Or do you mean Amazon-exclusive new releases?
  13. So I missed BOTH Target sales for the Sandcrawler ($70 and $90). ?Anyone have any idea whether it will go on sale again in the US? Seems like a safe bet, if stores can/choose to get it back in stock within a week
  14. https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?S=75164-1 The characters weren’t ever officially named by LEGO, but they’re pretty clearly based on individual people from the movie, so much so that whoever put them in the Bricklink database labeled them as such
  15. Does Poe’s X-Wing have a new cockpit canopy print, or is it the same as the one from the OT X-Wing, 75218? I can’t tell.
  16. Does anyone know why this X-Wing uses the same wing-opening mechanism as 75218 (that tan lever that pushes forward)? I much preferred the spinning gear from 75102, 75149, and even the old 9493; to me, the motion was more fluid, and it allowed for more greebling. Maybe kids had trouble spinning it against the resistance (no pun intended ) of the rubber bands, and the wings kept slapping together? I have no idea. Which mechanism do you all prefer? I do like the thought of an Arctic X-Wing. They should've had those for Hoth, but then again, back in the Original Trilogy, not every person's ship had to be a different color in each episode to sell more toys.
  17. I’m really glad you like the colors, because I was looking forward to the set, and I’m hoping it will grow on me after I see the movie. ?
  18. My late two cents, ranking the sets. I have tried to be as objective as possible, meaning that I have ranked them according to how "good" they are, not how much I want them. 1. Skyhopper vs. Bantha It's adorable, and a Bantha of any kind is long-overdue. Enough said. 2. Kylo Ren's Shuttle Microfighter Including Kylo with helmet in a $10 dollars seems very generous, plus there are two collectible minifigure stands built into the wings, and I can always use more of those. 3. Luke's Landspeeder Yes, this vehicle is way oversized, but I appreciate the effort put into making this way more than just a simple remake. It almost feels like a mini-UCS. Plus, that poncho! 4. Obi-Wan's Hut I would like to rank this higher, but the hut, itself, is pretty sparse, and the very bland Obi-Wan figure (no leg printing and hair from the 1980s? Really?) bring it down few notches. The saving grace is the hologram piece, and the novelty. 5. Y-Wing Microfighter The build seems very good, but a Zorri Bliss repeat figure might seem a bit redundant to many (compared to, say, another Resistance pilot), unless she ends up being awesome in TROS. 6. First Order Battle Pack If I"m honest, the speeder build is actually quite good. The set is largely unremarkable to me, but some may find the Sith Troopers interesting. 7. The new X-Wing is tragic; on one hand, the engineering looks like a slight improvement to 75102 and 75149, and the minifigures are awesome (except R2, and, arguably, the Poe repeat)....BUT those colors are an eyesore, and the price is even worse. I will definitely get it and mod it, but I will probably wait for a good sale. Better than getting 75102 or 75149 on eBay, I suppose... 8. Duel on Mustafar Well, they tried...I think. 9. TIE Dagger The price is terrible, this is a $50 set at most. I can't even look at it objectively until it goes on sale.
  19. I actually do think we might get only four sets, if we get a CMF and a D2C as well. That would be plenty, as long as the quality remains super high, as it has for the past two years.
  20. Good guys? Bad guys? Made-up words. It’s all a machine, partner. Honestly, I was fine with the engine intakes on the last Resistance X-Wings, but it will be interesting to see what (if any) structural changes are made.
  21. I literally had a dream about a new LEGO Republic Gunship last night (yes, I’m sick ) Like you said, easy money
  22. Thank you!! Maybe I just imagined the BB-8 rumor? It would seem a little cold of Poe to go into battle without his little buddy, though.
  23. After seeing the second trailer, I’m finally hyped for Rise of Skywalker. I stupidly sold my original two Resistance X-Wing, and while I hope to scoop them up used on eBay again someday, the new Poe model has definitely piqued my interest. Can anyone confirm whether Poe’s helmet is the same in TROS (i.e. will I likely need to Bricklink the helmet from 75102)? Also, is it confirmed whether he’s flying with R2 or B.B.-8 this time? I’ve seen conflicting sources (for the set, I mean, not spoilers from the movie).
  24. Yes, they definitely did. I was going to mention this.
  25. Ha! Well, thank you, then! Can you say whether there are any unique printed pieces in that set that AFOLs might want?
