  1. The B-Wing is my missing link, as well, but I don't think it's ever going to be re-released as a UCS. The first one sold so badly that it was discounted by 50% within a year. So don't hold out hope. On the other hand, a new System-scale version must surely be imminent!
  2. I actually love it! Shut up and take my credits!
  3. That was my understanding as well. I will have to take your word for it, because I still can't see them. That may just be my poor eyesight, though.
  4. Oh, jdubbs, could you please confirm how imminent? I suppose I should just relax, since it will be sometime within the next two weeks... There's no way it won't be dark red. Dark red is the only color A-Wing that ever appeared in the OT, and as much as I liked Rebels and the Sequel Trilogy, they would be a poor gamble for a UCS. Also, the pilot minifigure that leaked on Instagram is a Return of the Jedi pilot. Plus, jdubbs seems to have some inside intel. So I'd say it's 99.7% confirmed to be dark red.
  5. Assuming that wasn't all tongue-in-cheek, you actually gave us quite a bit of information in this post! Some of these complaints are entirely valid, IMO, but only insofar as they are personal preferences, with the ultimate preference being one's choice of whether or not to drop $200.
  6. Dammit. Thanks for the confirmation, though. I trust you. I mentioned that above.
  7. The A-Wing is canonically a good deal larger than the Snowspeeder, which was $200. However, the shape is fairly simple (for the most part), and I think it would lend itself well to a $100 UCS (if I'm not mistaken, the last UCS at that price point was indeed the Jedi Starfighter). I hope you're right, for my wallet's sake! The important thing to me is that the UCS A-Wing looks good. If LEGO messes this up, we won't be getting another one any time soon. Sure, I could always Bricklink one of the excellent MOCs, but I'd prefer to have an official release that's worth its salt. Now, about that announcement...please let it happen soon! I know I'm nerdy and obsessed with the Rebel Fleet, but I can't be the only one who's really eager to see what happens!
  8. So the Tantive IV was officially revealed exactly one year ago. Here's hoping for the A-Wing any day now!
  9. Anyone else eagerly awaiting the arrival of their May the Fourth promotional advertisement in the mail? That's always a highlight of my April, but I can't remember what time of the month it usually gets sent out. Although I suppose the set would need to be officially revealed first...come on, Green Leader, why aren't you standing by?
  10. Ironically, the Brothers Brick review made me decide not to buy the UCS Falcon. Instead, I used what VIP points I had to buy the "small" one from Rise of Skywalker. What can I say? I needed a Falcon. It's backordered for up 30 days, and I get some sub-par Easter promotional gifts on the side. Also, I finally ordered myself the Poe Dameron pilot minifigure, because no discount could make the whole set 75273 appealing to me. I will still have to get Jannah at some point...
  11. Agreed. I am 100% confident will will get Pomfrey. I have no proof, but until proven otherwise I am not going to worry.
  12. I really hope the mystery retailer exclusive this summer is a Clone Wars-era Y-Wing. You could argue that we've had a lot of Y-Wings, and you'd be right, but they must sell almost as well as Snowspeeders, and they've already featured in Season 7. The old one could definitely use an update, plus it's surprisingly expensive on the secondary market.
  13. I really think Vernon needs a custom "large" torso. No disrespect to the late Richard Griffiths, who was a wonderful actor, but I'm pretty sure his character was wider than Robbie Coltrane's Hagrid. To me, it would look really odd if Vernon and Petunia were exactly the same size. I know it's LEGO, and I know the previous Vernon figure was normal-sized, but something tells me that, due to the obsessive movie accuracy, there may be a Bombur-like solution.
  14. It's pretty much been informally confirmed a few pages back (not to mention rumors going back months) that a UCS A-Wing is coming. Either it will be revealed soon or it is going to be delayed due to the pandemic. I wouldn't worry yet (concerning the A-Wing, I mean)
  15. These kinds of misprints are rare but not unheard of. I don't think they usually command great sums of money. I personally wouldn't pay for them, but I'm sorry that you got those mistakes. LEGO Customer Service will almost certainly replace them for you if they have the pieces in stock (but it's possible that they would ask you to send them the misprinted ones, in which case you obviously couldn't even try to sell them). Good luck and, as Han Solo would say, "Sorry about the mess."
  16. Is it likely that the UCS Falcon will still be around in August? I may ask for money toward the big bird as a birthday/graduation gift (assuming LEGO warehouses are still operating in our dysfunctional country at that time). I'm thinking that if the rumored end-of-year retirement date is correct, it might be better to try to pay upfront during the May the Fourth promotion rather than waiting half a year and risking them stopping production early. God, I hope so. A UCS A-Wing would really cheer me up! EDIT: 400 posts!
  17. Okay, fair enough. I apparently can't keep up with this thread.
  18. I should've known the buildable Hedwig would come with an exclusive minifigure...honestly, this line is getting way too expensive for me. The quality is great, but the quantity is not (for my budget, anyway). I will have to be more selective about the sets I buy. Currently, my preference would be (from most to least wanted): Hogwarts Astronomy Tower [Diagon Alley?] Room of Requirement Escape From Privet Drive Forbidden Forest Mystery Set #1 Mystery Set #2 Collectible Minifigures Buildable Hedwig Book with exclusive Tom Riddle However, I may change my mind once all is revealed!
  19. I just realized, I think Kingsley is wearing some kind of printed fabric "poncho" piece over his torso and legs to represent his long, unique robes! That's why his shoulders look so odd in the picture. Sorry if someone has already mentioned this!
  20. Wouldn't that likely be the May the Fourth promo gift with purchase?
  21. I'm really looking forward to a UCS A-Wing, and it will be a day-one buy as long as they don't bungle it. I only see two issues: 1. I think it will end up looking like some of the great MOCs that already exist (Anio's comes to mind) 2. If it sells for 200 USD, which it surely will, it will likely be vastly overpriced. Even with tiny greebles to inflate the parts count, I can't see this thing having more than 1600 pieces. EDIT: I generally couldn't care less about the helmets, but if they managed to design a Rebel pilot helmet with enough structural integrity to include a retractable translucent-orange visor, I would probably buy it.
  22. A potential new LOTR line won't replace Harry Potter. I suspect (and desperately hope) that we'll get at least a D2C. LEGO has released a lot of large, adult-oriented, collectible sets since LOTR, including Back to the Future, Ghostbusters, Stranger Things, James Bond, The Flintstones, The Big Bang Theory, Doctor Who, and 80s Batman. And before you say that most of those were LEGO Ideas picks, keep in mind that not one but two Minas Tirith sets got 10,000 supporters and made it to the review phase. My hope is that if we do get a resurgence, we also get some "Legacy" sets from the original movies. Also, wouldn't be surprised if anything we do get is an Amazon exclusive.
  23. Is it sad that I really want to see this battle? Anyway, I respect peoples' interest in The Clone Wars, but personally I'm getting burnt out by the franchise. The new Razor Crest is pretty neat. Other than that, D-O and the busts are of no interest to me. However, I have high hopes for the May the Fourth set, until proven otherwise.
  24. I mentioned this last year, but in terms of film accuracy, Radcliffe's minifigure should really have dark brown hair. His hair is clearly not even close to black. I'm happy with LEGO Harry's black hair, though, because it's so iconic to the books, which I suspect is why that choice was made. Similar case with Hermione; Emma Watson's hair is lighter than LEGO's reddish brown, but not so much as to confuse people. What I can't get behind is the creamy yellow hair color used for Malfoy and Luna (and Legolas!); that looks incredibly fake, IMO.
  25. Very well said. If this is too far off topic, I apologize, but has anyone else noticed that the spring UCS sets have all been Rebel Alliance-related for the past four years? Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining, but I'm wondering whether it's a pattern or just a coincidence. After all, most UCS sets are OT-based, and the Empire has very few small vehicles without the word "TIE" in their name, and I think the last UCS TIE was a bit of a flop. If that cryptic "complete the fleet" comment is accurate, this could be our fifth year running with a Rebel-related UCS set for May the Fourth! Regarding the rumored/confirmed AT-AT, I personally don't care, but I'm happy for those who have been patiently waiting. But....if there is a new Snowspeeder released alongside it, I will weep. If there is a new Snowspeeder with a new canopy mold, I will buy it while weeping and hitting my head against the wall.
