Welcome to Eurobricks Teresa The modulars are great sets and are well worth the effort to get the older ones via Brickink. I amassed the pieces for the Green Grocer & Cafe Corner through Bricklink for my Wife and we saved a heap of money over the prices being asked for one on eBay etc,. Look forward to seeing pics of your Green Grocer when completed. Hope you enjoy your time here.

Yep, it gets my vote. I've got 2 of these sets, I made one into the red car the other the yellow but I didn't get the stickers applied to either.

Lego Technic Tractor Truck
grum64 replied to Lucio Switch's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Came across this tow truck by the same builder. It's just as big and just as awesome. I think our esteemed HoF editor is going to be kept very busy by Lucioswitch -
Lego Technic Tractor Truck

I may be wrong but I can't believe no one's suggested this be entered into the Hall of Fame. I'm no expert, far, far from it, but surely this it's a 'no brainer.' -

That's as small as a very small smallish thing -
This is all well and good in principle but I really can't see it working. Regardless of how many people report however many sets you find I can't see how the eBay process will be any quicker. If they say that 2 people reporting a counterfeit set will be slow I don't see how bombarding them with links is going to make things any faster. The staff in the department doing the work can only look into one submission at a time unless they employ many more people which I can't see happening. Don't get me wrong, I admire what you're trying to do it's just that I don't think this is the best way go about it but nor do I know what is. Just my opinion. Also. Very good point.

I'm in a similar situation as regards buying sets and not getting time to build them. I have around 70 (and counting) Technic/Racers/Model Team/Star Wars sets a few of which I have multiples of, and have built only about 20. Between spending time with family & friends, non-LEGO projects and the time it takes me to build a set I can safely say there's every likelihood I, or my wonderful young Grandchildren, will never get to build everyone of the sets. I sold 4 of my sets a few years ago thinking, like you, that they've been built and now are just sitting in storage. I can tell you now that I regretted it the very moment they were gone & I've spent the intervening years replacing those sets and yes, they're now just sitting in storage but I have them and that's my point. To me, it's better to have the sets and know they're there if and when I or my Grandchildren get time/want to build them than not have them at all. Just my opinion.

New or old panel design?
grum64 replied to Richard Dower's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
My Dear Old Gramp used to say that 'every day's a day at school' and today's one of those days because I didn't know there were old & new panels. Thank you 'Teacher' Richard for providing today's lesson -
Really nice model This is looking to be a great competition Thanks Zblj. I was wondering where I'd seen those joints. Day spent scratching head averted!
