[MT] Lotus Esprit
grum64 replied to Jeroen Ottens's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Terrific job. You've captured the lines brilliantly, it's instantly recognisable. Very well done -
Shooter - Revenge & mayhem. Both ingredients for a good movie. Operation Petticoat - Granted it's an oldie but with Cary Grant & Tony Curtis it's a goodie.

Greeting Dark Secret Great to have you join our ever growing community. The Star Wars theme has some great sets. I've built the 7662 MTT, the Headhunter & the last 2 Republic Gunships and have recently bought the 75059 Sandcrawler but have yet to build it. I hope you enjoy your time here, it's a great place for ideas and inspiration.

What made you get out of your LEGO dark age?

Thank you very much. You're very kind. I'm not too sure about being an inspiration, I'm just really stubborn What time did you wake up? -

What made you get out of your LEGO dark age?
grum64 replied to BearHeart's topic in General LEGO Discussion
My Grandson Jake was responsible for me re-discovering my childhood love of LEGO. It's a long story that I'll not repeat. If you'd like to read it, it can be found by following the link below. http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=67664&hl=grum64 PLEASE NOTE: I shall not be held liable for loss of job, earnings ect., due to lateness for work or similar as a result of a boredom induced state of deep sleep due to reading the topic in the above link. Should you have any concerns, may I respectfully suggest you leave open all doors & windows (where safe to do so - Safety First) to ensure a ready supply of cool, fresh air to increase your chances of staying awake whilst reading. You may want to set a minimum of 2 alarm clocks (3 recommended) to maximise your chances of being woken should you fall into a coma like sleep. Following the link means you accept the above. You have been warned -

I'll try iMovie10 first as it's the software I'm using to edit the footage. Should I encounter any problems I'll give the software you kindly suggested a go. Thanks again

Thank you very much for taking the time to answer my request for help. I've recently bought the MacBook Pro and am still finding my way round after years of being a Windows user. I'm going to go through the video one last time to in the hope that there's a little more 'trimming' I can do to get the file size down. I'll then try the software you've suggested and hopefully one of them will do the job. I'll let you know how I get on. Thanks again.

[WIP] Reliant Robin
grum64 replied to Zerobricks's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Very nice video Love the space shuttle animation As for how we Brits survived these things. In the late seventies my Dad bought a Reliant Supervan (now there's a contradiction in terms!) 3. Think Del Boy's preferred mode of transport but red. As we were a family of 7 it was a tight fit, especially for my brother and I who were wedged in the rear! Now my brother & I didn't get on too well at the best of times so little imagination is needed to realise that family outings were never less than fractious! For those who think you can't fight in the confines of a Supervans' rear think again, we had some doozies, the worst of which carried on even after the rear door had flown open whilst doing 40mph or so! We only realised what had happened when my Mum & Dad started yelling, my 3 Sisters started screaming and the car following started blasting it's hooter! Ah, the memories........ -

Hi Guys I have a holiday video (full HD) that I've edited for a friend but even after getting it down from 5.7hrs to 2.2hrs it's still a very big file (15GB). What's the best way to burn it to DVD without too much loss of quality? Burning onto a DL DVD isn't an option as the person I've done it for doesn't have a DVD player that can play them. I'd rather not split the movie over several discs if at all possible. I'm using a MacBook Pro running OS X. Any help or advice would be very gratefully accepted. Thank you.

Anyone getting lots of Lego Ideas followers lately?
grum64 replied to Zerobricks's topic in Community
Yes. I've started getting emails telling me people have started following me. I don't know why as I've not got anything on Lego Ideas. -
