  1. Hey, I think I know the guy who posted that! Thanks though. I'm glad this video is helping people build!
  2. Thanks for the resource Beck, I'll be sure to look at it. It is towards the front, in fact. When on the landing gear with no faux wheel deployed in the back, the wings bend forward, as do the landing gear. I think it would be beneficial to fix these errors, so i likely will.
  3. @Jim, I was wondering: can I combine 2 iterations of my [TC15] entry and submit them as one? It's a weird request, but I have received a comment asking me if I would change the proportions of my plane to be better suited for flying. I want to implement the changes, but at the same time I want to represent my source material in all its glory, albeit not making an exact copy of the plane (which is what I've nearly got now). So would that be possible?
  4. I'm really happy to see that you're back, this was definitely one of the cooler entries. Can't wait for more progress!
  5. Ahh, I get it now. Thank you very much! I guess in your other post I didn't really get the tone, that's all.
  6. I am so following this. Yours MODs are amazing despite only being drafts, and this was a really interesting read. Please update soon!
  7. Thanks! I'm glad you like the MOC! Thanks, Steph. I'm no plane guy, so question: how are the proportions bad on the real plane? Are the wings too short? Fuselage? I'm a little confused by this comment... sorry
  8. This car is looking stunning. One question though, is the bodywork still self-sustaining as it was a few updates ago?
  9. Thank you! Thanks Steph, here's a picture (with some minor changes from yesterday): (Embedded from instagram because I didn't have time to put on Flickr) Thank you!
  10. I don't need those 2 weeks either but I think they would be beneficial to others so they should be added.
  11. Very nice mods! I have to ask though: how did you obtain those red wheel arches?
  12. Welcome to eurobricks! I'd love to see more pictures. You can host them on a website such as Flickr.
  13. Hey everyone, THE PLANE IS DONE! I think I'm satisfied with what I have. My white parts pool is running dangerously low so I'm not sure how much I'll be able to add. The plane stands on its own 3 feet, however, the wings bend under the load of the fuselage. So I'm going to do 2 things about that: Add a faux 4th wheel in the back Make a stand with a motor in it So you're probably wondering why the motor. It's because the propeller mechanism sits right at the bottom of the plane and the gears are exposed. So if I was to make a stand, motorization would have to be mandatory. So that's my plan. Aside from future stuff to do, there have been many new additions to the plane: finished the cockpit, reinforced the wings and redesigned them, and finished the jet engines. I also elongated the rudders so they better resembled the source material. See pictures below! That's all for now. Expect the project to be done in 2-3 days!
  14. This is looking really interesting so far. I really like your axle setup. Can't wait to see it finished!
  15. Thanks, I'm glad you like it! Thanks! The end result shouldn't be long now- I'm 2-3 days out from finishing (I think).
  16. Wow steph, this is a truly amazing build. It's clearly packed with functionality despite looking so sleek and elegant. I can't w3ait for a video!
  17. Yes, There is one but it faces downward (i.e toward the ground).
  18. Thank you! I looked at some blueprints and videos. Thanks! I think it might be but I'm not sure as I don't have one. That would be an interesting comparison though.
  19. RudivTime for the next (and likely the last) update. I made lots of general improvements and mocked up the cabin with its clear glass design. I also added rudders, thanks to @Rudivdk for pointing out that I missed them. They are simply actuatable by hand. I think that's it for words, I'll let the pictures do the talking. What I have left to do: Finish jet engines Add landing gear Rebuild wings Overall refinements + adding more orange That's all. Happy new year!
  20. Hey everyone, My last build of the year features a pneumatic reach stacker built only with parts from 42043. The model contains around 1400 parts, and it is rather small given that part count (only about 40cm long). It contains no PF fro the pump but the space inside is really filled by pneumatic tubes. One thing I wanted to try was to not have the tubes showing all along the boom, so I put them inside the boom. This took up a lot of space. Anyways, I'm happy with the result as everything works well and there are lots of functions: HoG steering with Ackermann geometry Drivetrain connected to a piston engine Pendular rear axle Sliding cabin forward and backward ~ 20 studs rotate grabber (by hand) Extend boom, with safety ratchet to prevent fallback Raise boom (pneumatic) Manipulate wrist (pneumatic) Open/close grabber (pneumatic) And now for the video: And now for some pictures: And that's all. I wish everyone a happy new year! I'm honored to be part of this amazing community and hope that it continues to flourish in the years to come. Thanks for reading! C&C are always appreciated. BbBT
  21. The movement seems to be very fluent, which is good. I like where this is going, though it certainly needs some clean-up (i.e it looks kinda messy right now). Well done!
  22. Beautiful excavator! I can't wait for a video!
  23. Awesome! I'm glad the fix was so simple and that no major redesigns were needed! Cheers!
  24. If the you want to keep the front bonnet looking like that (the area with the headlights and such) I would suggest you add some dark Azure to the bottom (below the grille). Otherwise, looking great!
  25. This project is one of my favorites so far. I'm sad to hear about the weight problems (I have never faced those myself, so I'm not sure where to start in terms of input) but I wish you luck and hope you get it done on time. This project shows lots of mechanical ingeniosity and space management. Keep it up!
