I did think of adding one. Maybe a white round brick 1x1,small dish and a white lever with black aerial might do it? I'll give it a go but I'm a bit worried about making it over crowded! Thanks so much! From a fellow starwars fan and collector that's a great compliment! I've got a lot more planned so keep an eye out! I've got a LOAD on order! My other micro moc needs one too!

Hey guys, so I really enjoyed making my first micro landscape MOC (Jakku) so I decided to make a really iconic scene from the original trilogy and decided to make a Battle of Hoth MOC on a 16x16 plate. I tried to get all the iconic parts from the film into the MOC. Inspiration from a few various sources and a few twists of my own! The one thing I am aware of is that the snow speeder is completely out of proportion with the scene however I tried to make smaller models and they just didnt look right. Therefore I have tried to give the illusion that the speeder is flying high up above the battle. Im really pleased with how this MOC has turned out and would be great to hear any feedback or advice you guys might have. ps if anyone wants instructions for any of the elements I am more than happy to send across what I have.

This is awesome! I love how you managed to shape the back of the tie, absolutely spot on accuracy! -
Star Wars Battlefront - Sulfur Fields (Sullust)
dimnico replied to KevFett2011's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Brilliant stuff! Although technically two of the Rebels would be losing health due to standing in the lava flow ;) I do love a good battlefront moc though, great job!- 3 replies

I always think we've these that when the characters have helmets they always look better but you have done a great job with Luke, Han and Liea too. Even if they do look constantly surprised!

I love the yellow ties, the cutout wings look awesome. Weren't they from an episode of Rebels where they were trying to steal Tibana gas or something?

I love the expressions on all the mini fig faces, perfectly captures the moment from the film. I particularly like the two moody looking death star troopers. Great display piece.

Hey guys, yeah I had to paint them. I wanted the light orange ones but the cheapest I saw on BrickLink was £20 for one!

Hey everyone, so while I am waiting for a big order from Bricklink to start my next large scale MOC I thought I would kill the time by building a little micro landscape of Jakku, specifically Niima Outpost. Its a very simple little MOC, only 16x16 and its actually based on the loading screens from Lego: The Force Awakens on the PS4 (for those of you who have played it you might recognise it?) I really enjoyed making this little model and I am quite tempted to do similar scenes for all the famous locations of the entire sage (any suggestions welcome!) Anyway as always be great to know your thoughts!

Hey Nevada101, thats a great idea! The front courtyard piece can be removed to give you access to the main room and the side has a hinge on it too but I like the idea of the whole castle being hinged too!

The micro fighters in the back are brilliant, they make the whole scene feel alive.

[MOC] Star Wars Battlefront - Battle on Sullust
dimnico replied to markus1984's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Awesome MOC! Captured the look of the level perfectly. I think what would be epic would be a vader/luke showdown somewhere on the build. I've often thought of doing a battlefront moc and after seeing this I think I might get started on one!- 48 replies

This is amazing, the lights really give it another dimension. I'm really keen to use lights on my next MOC. Are they specially designed or can they be purchased anywhere?

Hey there, the bluetooth speaker is just a portable speaker I got from amazon for about £10. It fits snugly into the turret and when you open it up the button it just on the top of the speaker. I havent quite worked out how to get it so as soon as you press the button to turn it on a song will start playing so for the moment I am just syncing it to my phone and playing Jabba Flow off my phone and through the speaker. However I am going to look into making it work better so that all you do is press the button and the song starts playing. Also I am tempted to make a button out of lego on the roof of the turret so instead of opening it up to turn the speaker on you can simply just press the lego button...but Im not sure how to do that yet! I am just waiting for the parts I ordered in the post and then this guy is my next project!

Hi there guys, this is my first post and I am sharing with you my first ever MOC! I would love to know your thoughts as well as any tips, advice or guidelines to help me with future builds. The courtyard is a two set build of the official 'Battle on Takodana' set and can actually slide out from the front as its own piece. The forest to the side of the castle (representing where Kylo Ren confronts Rey for the first time) is also its own piece and can slide out if you want to use it as a separate element. The main tower lifts off as does the entire roof section on the left hand side revealing more tables, patrons and the performance area for the band. The turret on the right side is hinged and hidden inside is a bluetooth speaker that plays 'Jabba Flow' when its turned on. I have included the room where Rey finds Luke's lightsaber. To access the room there is a vertical sliding door and the roof piece lifts off too. To populate the Castle I have mixed and matched a few of my favourite characters from the Star Wars universe, some of which are not exactly movie accurate but fun anyway, such as Hera and Sabine from 'Rebels' recruiting new members to join their crew. Greedo in the back hoping to capture another bounty and lando enjoying a drink with Figrin D'an. As for the new characters I have custom made the Crimson Corsair and GA97 (although thats really just 21B with a new paint job!) Bazine Netal... And Maz's band (including the fender guitar Sudswater Dillifay Glon is playing) Finally I added some more plants and water as a bit of detailing. Overall I have tried to include as many elements from the film as possible whilst keeping some fun elements within the MOC. I have also used a mix of bricks and colours as I was trying to give the impression that the castle is very old and has been patched up over hundreds of years...hope that comes across and it doesnt just look messy?! Like I say this was my first ever MOC however now I have well and truly got the building bug it wont be the last! Hope you enjoy!

[MOC] Episode VII- First Order Troop Transporter
dimnico replied to KevFett2011's topic in LEGO Star Wars
This is certainly more sleek in design than the official set. -
I really want there to be more official tatooine sets as all the MOCs, including this one, look amazing. In answer to your question its a tough one but I think the studless roof just about gets my vote...of course with a studded roof it does give scope to place a bit of colour on the roof for texture/sand/dust though? Does that help?!
