  1. I didn't mind the stress too much either, as it helped to add to the aura of peril that I think Zepher was aiming for. I was, perhaps, a tad irritated that Felton needn't have been revived (as he wouldn't have appeared in later quests either way). Having Hans being killed for want of a Phoenix Essence that we had is a shame, really.
  2. "Their forces will break upon these walls like water upon rocks... I don't care how many there are: Let them come." Haldor stands behind the rampart with his hair whipping in the wind. He strikes an epic pose, wondering how much more exciting this moment would become if the heavens were to open with torrential rain.
  3. "So we wait here, watch the buggers run up to the wall with their little ladders... and then kick-in their heads? Sounds like a plan. I'm ready to prepare when my good friends are."
  4. That's certainly a nice looking ship, I love the hull design.
  5. Hmm... I wonder whom Benji stole that medal from...
  6. When Flipz is ill... Heroica grinds slowly to a halt.
  7. Knowledge is a gift, I personally welcome being corrected - as such a thing helps to increase my knowledge. If you don't think in the same way as I do - that's fine, I will be sure to change the way that I write when replying to you in the future.
  8. Okay... perhaps the joke aspect of my post got lost somewhere along the way... But still: there's no need to be popular if you have enough guns, which is unfortunately how some of the world works.
  9. Haldor laughs. "Bit unfortunate that those raiders always turn up during the lunch break - ever thought of re-arranging your mealtimes, just to be safe?" The nord checks that all of his gear is in place before continuing. "Shouldn't be too much trouble, we're experienced in this kind of thing. What size groups d'they like to turn up in, and with what kind of equipment? We dealing with pen-pushers or proper, hardy types?"
  10. Haldor Skovgaard *Immune to Stunned, Fragile and Blinded effects* Level 60 Humanoid Health: 450/450 Ether: 10/10 Defence: 7 Special I: I need another drink! - Haldor gives himself the either the encouraged, hastened or blessed effect, decided by dice roll. Special II: Bloody hell, that hurt! - Haldor heals himself equal to his level at the cost of one ether and fights in the back row for the remainder of the round. Special II: Take this, you sick git! - Haldor viciously kicks the foe for damage equal to 1/10th of his current health, this attack pierces SP and ignores row. Passive Special: Ladies' man - At the start of the battle, all female heroes have a 1/3 chance of becoming Enamoured with Haldor's dashing manly looks. Drops: Zoot er Isen (WP:15, Axe, Light and Ice elemental), Second-hand V-Card (I wouldn't touch this, if I were you). Note: - Haldor will use specials decided by dice-roll, although Special I will not be used if he already has a positive effect, and Special II relies on the presence of ether. Note: - Zoot er Isen is not suitable for anyone other than Haldor, one might be able to pillage the gems and sell it for scrap, though.
  11. Again, that is not my point. Use the winky face all you like - the Middle Ages have proven that population support is not always necessary for control of a peasant population. Take the English Wars of the Roses, for instance: everyone changed sides and stole the crown so many damn times over a short period that no-one actually cared what the people thought. Okay, scratch that, 70% of Medieval monarchs across Europe did not care what people thought of them. You can't patronise me for an argument that I didn't actually make.
  12. Medieval history tends to disagree with you. An army = I do what I like.
  13. Haldor's Philosophical Quotation Tally: Friedrich Nietzche John Lennon Abraham Lincoln (x2)
  14. "Ha. Always glad to be of service. When I do good - I feel good, when I do bad - I feel bad; that's my religion. But about this breakin' up a siege thing, you got a guarantee that such a thing will be coming up soon? " He grins.
  15. Hey Sir Brickington... just to let you know, you cold have sold that stone to Scubacarrot for 250 gold.
  16. I think that Mr Scarecrow needs to learn from Monty Python. "You don't vote for a king!"
  17. Fun fact: they're both British. And also, it's unclear why Obi-Wan would need to sound like the actor who plays an 80 year-old version of him. To my ears, TCW went for a lovely posh-English cliché. Groan. Why? Darth Vader is a damn good enough character to deserve screen time in this new series. I bet my house and entire collection of nice hats that this 'Inquisitor' will turn out to be a recycling of lame tropes - because every good spin-off serial NEEDS some brand-new poorly-written 'characters' that are obviously so important that everyone in-universe decides not to mention them again. At least they could have had the courtesy to us long-time fans by not making the new bloke look pretty much exactly like an unmasked Vader. Protip for Filoni: The Original Trilogy writers are better than you, try to pick up their their hints if you can. Also: give screen-time to Mon Mothma, the leader of the Alliance getting about thirty-seconds on the screen is a reasonable plot hole in the classic series. /bitter rant.
  18. The folks probably have to get back as much money as possible - I don't reckon that global search and restoration project came cheap.
  19. I see what you did there.
  20. bored /bôrd/ Adjective Feeling weary because one is unoccupied or lacks interest in one's current activity. I think you'll find that being stuck in a tree, pretty much inches from certain death isn't 'boring'. If you believe that, maybe it is your outlook that is skewed. But truthfully: it's impossible to keep the mind mentally stimulated 24/7, there are and should be times in which one has no nothing to do. Finding things to do is an 'antidote' for boredom, not a preventative measure, as with the definition of the word. i.e. being bored comes before the embarking of an activity to dispel boredom. Boredom cannot happen only if one literally never stops doing something, or finds absolutely everything they do in life riveting enough to stimulate them. Therefore, boredom must logically happen every now and again. /lecture
  21. Wh-what? That Rogue Thief clearly has a sense of style and elegance. Isn't it cool to dress like that anymore?
  22. What piece is that attached to King Kahuka's mask for the male High Cleric, Sandy? I love how you've designed that figure, and the male Rogue Thief, especially.
