DC Superheroes 2025 - Rumors & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
Not really. They‘ve made sets for movies that were obviously never gonna be as successful as Supes (and didn‘t have to be, due to lower budgets), and Supes is performing well. Probably not well enough to warrant sets later on, but still -

Babu Frik and The Senate, TROS edition! Dedra Meero, Lama Su, Double Death Troopers, Bly, Bacara, 327th troopers, Galactic Marines, an accurate P1 Clone Pilot, TBOBF Cad Bane, and Cobb Vanth were also ranking high on my wishlist ^^ Now I need to think who succeeds them at the top of my wishlist! Candidates include SM-33, Enoch, L3-37, Dryden Voss, Mayfeld, Qimir, Sol, Boss Nass, an updated Shaak Ti, Talzin, an Incinerator Trooper, Brutus, Carson Teva, a new Mon Mothma, and Shmi. No clue about the exact order tho -

Sim Aloo looks great with that new hat piece! Since they just call him “Imperial Dignitary”, I think he’s the only one to be included Nice to see Tagge too! -

YES YES YES!!! Finally, Mads Mikkelsen gets his long overdue minifig! Say what you will about this year of LSW, but they released the my top 3 most wanted characters all in the same year, so no complaints from me At the rate they’re fulfilling all my wishes across themes, I’m soon running out of things to clamour for -

A second set with the Fantasticar, HERBIE, and Silver Surfer would be, well, fantastic! (SaY tHaT aGaIn ) I doubt it’s gonna happen since follow-up sets are a rare commodity these days and they will save the characters for Doomsday sets ^^ The movie itself was great! Awesome to see the First Family finally being done justice -
Disney Properties 2025 - Rumors & Discussion

Nope. The set number is an Icons one (10xxx), and Disney D2C sets are in the Disney number range (43xxx). Sure, the upcoming Black Pearl has an Icons set number despite being based on a Disney property, but PotC does not fall under the general Disney theme, just like Marvel, Avatar, Indy, or Star Wars -
Imagine if the choice to do Arkham right now was partially to honour our very own aslume here The theme dies a slow death, we despair and turn into the aslume, then a ray of hope appears, only to be dashed away, and now they release the actual aslume just to mock us Of course, that’s not what happened, but I like to pretend it is Even though the designers are aware of EB, they’d never design a set with us in mind. Then again, we kinda sorta got UCS Dobby’s sock after years of joking about it…

You’re right! There are a few versions that have the monocle on the left eye, but it’s usually on the right! Interesting choice -

…qué? A $500 fish tank?! That’s gonna be interesting, since even with the largest currently existing panel pieces it’s gonna look funky The fish must be brick-built, I imagine! At that scale, they kinda have to be- 5,839 replies

I just noticed the cardboard box next to the container, another staple of Superheroes modulars! That means Justin Ramsden must’ve worked on the set! -

Killer Croc digging his way out with a spoon is a hilarious detail Love it even more, now that full pictures are out! Glad to see them continue the Superhero modular tradition of having yellow trash containers in the back Side note: 10937 was released in 2013, not 2012 -

Huh. I never thought we’d see the Imperial kepi piece being used outside of SW, but it’s included in one of the Wicked sets for Boq. Guess it’s no longer license-locked! -
Wicked 2024 - Rumors & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to TheBrickPal's topic in LEGO Licensed
The final minidoll set leaked too! Boq is included in that one Funny how Wicked continues the trend of minifig/minidoll hybrid themes where some characters/versions only exist as minifigs and others only as minidolls -
I see two issues with that idea: Even the movie-licensed SC cars still have a focus on speed. Cars and F&F feature racing, 007 gets into lots of car chases, and the Delorean needs to reach a high velocity for time travel to work. Speed isn’t that much of a factor for the Ecto-1, at least not to the same extent SC cars typically come with only one minifig, and an Ecto-1 with one minifig would be kinda sad. Even if the upcoming Delorean breaks the pattern by featuring both Marty and Doc Brown (fingers crossed!), it’d still be quite a leap from two to four minifigs. That said, I’m not opposed to the idea, but I’d rather have a new one as a set outside the SC theme, mostly due to the minifig restrictions ^^

No rumours yet! Since all the other themes that Brickmerge doesn’t have 2026 set numbers for yet are now confirmed not to have a January wave (i.e., DC, Mario, and Animal Crossing), it’s fair to assume JW is among them Back to one wave a year, it seems! Fingers crossed for a set with the D-Rex and a mutadon or two! -

Some people expect it to be twice as large, as in twice the diameter, but that’s obviously not how volumes work I’d say it’s around 25% larger in every dimension, so around 53x53x53cm. -

Can’t say I expected the wall art set to feature minifigs as well, but I’m sure glad it does! Apart from Nessarose, we now have all the main characters in minifig form! Not that I know of… I hope it’s not because they didn’t want to bring back the terrier piece. They did resurrect Tin Man’s hat and there’s the new piece for the Cowardly Lion, so the theme clearly has a pretty decent budget! -

Agreed! 2006: I don’t have that one one, so I can’t fully comment on it, but it looks like a solid build for the time. Gives me strong 2004 Shrieking Shack vibes ^^ 2013: Still an awesome detailed set, even if it’s rather flat. I way prefer the angles of the new one! Cool interior too. 2017: Previously my favourite version, but the new one will very likely dethrone it! Depends on the interior. 2025: Love the fact it’s on a baseplate! Kind of an amalgamation of all of its precursors. All jonkling throughout the year aside, I still think 2025 is the best year the theme had in a long time. Sure, Supes getting ignored super sucks and we only got 5 sets in total, but they’re all great with Arkham being the cherry on top -

Yeah, kinda funny to think that the whole thing could leak before we get any information about the builds or minifigs For Arkham, we got a full minifig list as well as a funny recreation in Minecraft, and for the Black Pearl, we’ve had a minifig list for months now! -

In some of these particular cases, arguments can be made as to why they were omitted Doomsday was likely meant to be a surprise initially (since having him in the story pretty much gave away that Soup croaks), which then got spoiled by the marketing. Since there were no further spoilery sets beyond an accessory pack, he didn’t get made. Ocean Master was likely omitted because the set already featured Black Manta as the villain. The High Evolutionary is a bit of a strange case. You could argue he was too vile of a character, torturing and mutilating animals, but other characters that have done equally heinous things did get minifigs Gamora being omitted made little sense, agreed. They easily could have featured her in the Bowie. Maybe there was no budget left for the prints she required If Doomsday will be a big enough hit, they could milk it for years afterwards, like they’re still doing with Endgame. Even 6 years later, we’re still getting new variants like the upcoming War Machine / Iron Patriot 2.0 (while admittedly still missing other characters and variants, looking at you, Kraglin and Ronin) -

For me, it’s the other way round as I much prefer the hairpiece, especially the one created for TLBM At least the BTAS version still has the jester headpiece! What I find a bit strange is that the Penguin has his old top hat again, as well as a brick-built umbrella, rather than the modern counterparts. Maybe they’re going for a more oldschool look in anticipation of the upcoming anniversary? I mean, we also have the classic brick-built penguins and a very similar looking Killer Croc -

BrickBob Studpants replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
No, none of the characters look like their TLBM counterparts and a set based on it 8 years later would be strange Harley’s hairpiece uses the same mould, but the colour scheme is reversed. In TLBM, the left side was red and the right black, and here it’s vice versa. That same inverted piece was also used in a 4+ set in 2022.
