Disney Properties 2025 - Rumors & Discussion

I assume you mean minidoll sets? Because I think we can safely say that the Disney sets won‘t be based on Wicked -

With GWP sets, it's always a coin flip whether they have exclusive minifigs or not. This year, the Sméagol & Déagol and Kamino Training Facility sets had exclusive minifigs, while the rest either reused minifigs (the upcoming TIE Fighter for instance), kitbashed ones (like Neville in the Room of Requirement or the Jane Austen in the respective tribute set), or none at all At least we get a new character, albeit brick-built! -

In my eyes, this doesn't imply that the older model outlasted the later one, but more that the Imperial remnants have to work with whatever they can find, including older equipment I doubt they'll address it directly in the movie, but there could be a story reason too (like the AT-ATs seen in M&G coming from a previously abandoned base or something). Either way, regarding the set potential, I'm glad it's a variant and not the same old AT-AT -

It‘s a really good show in my opinion and my favourite MCU show besides Loki What turned it from a good show to one of my favourites is episode 7, particularly one sequence. Too bad we won‘t get sets or CMF figures based on the show, but at least we have Agatha herself! -

An AT-AT is not guaranteed, true, but it‘s extremely likely. That sequence has been featured in every single teaser and trailer so far, the last system-scale AT-AT was released in 2020, and I can‘t think of anything else that would fit the price point In general, the initial waves for new movies tend to feature material showcased in the marketing, with more spoilery stuff being saved for later. Gonna be interesting with the follow-up wave already coming out in June -

Exactly! I‘m really glad they decided to use the prototype model from Rebels instead of the TESB version. Less redundant It even makes sense in-universe since the Imperial remnants have to use what they can get their hands on. -

Wouldn‘t it make more sense to release a D2C Battinsonmobile in 2027, to coincide with the sequel? ^^ Then again, sense-making isn‘t always part of the equation -

One of my favourite GWPs this year Love both the concept and the execution! Sure, no new minifigs, but I wouldn‘t expect that from a GWP anyway. It‘s the exception, not the norm ^^ -

I forgot for a second that those are also coming out next year! If they’re as good as the S1 offerings, we’re in for a treat! Between the M&G and Ahsoka S2 sets plus the Cobb Vanth set in January, I‘m gonna eat well next year Now give me a TIE Avenger as the cherry on top!! -

There‘s no reason they shouldn‘t. Also, is there really that much of a difference between new show and movie sets? The Ahsoka sets had a bunch of new pieces, as did previous Mando waves, and the TBOBF and Kenobi sets too. Andor only got two sets, sure, but even then they brought back K2’s torso and introduced a new piece for Dedra‘s hat. In absolute numbers, the ST, RO and Solo of course introduced more new pieces and prints, but they also had A LOT more sets than most of the shows It of course also depends on how many new pieces are even needed in the first place. M&G can reuse quite a lot from previous Mando sets, which was not the case with the ST or spin-offs. And regarding a new Grogu: I think we‘ll know pretty soon. I can‘t imagine them reusing the 2020 one in January and replacing it in May. If there are new pieces for him, they‘ll likely introduce them in January already ^^ Otherwise, that‘s as if they had used the darksaber piece in the Spider Tank set but not in the TIE Interceptor set released shortly before. -

Can‘t wait to hear more about the M&G sets! Definitely my most-anticipated SW sets next year I wonder if they‘ll keep up the tradition of revealing new movie and show characters through set leaks Of course this wasn’t the case for every single new movie or show, but it happened enough times, like with ROTS, TCW, Rebels, TFA, TLJ, Solo, and TROS ^^ -

So the other two March sets are Eevee and Pikachu & a Pokéball respectively! I hope they‘ll remember that Gen I isn‘t the only one in existence for the remaining 17-ish sets -

Unfortunately, you‘re right. It‘s still possible, but I‘m not getting my hopes up. A lame Spidervehicle + comic-based Sandman is just more realistic, given the theme‘s track record -

THANK YOU. All of these characters make perfect sense to appear and have a clear impact on the story. Also, I don‘t get why people pretend that S1 was 100% stand-alone. Boba Fett was already teased in that season and Gideon having the darksaber was a huge reveal that made it obvious they were gonna tie the story to Bo-katan in some way. And the existence of Grogu was by itself something that clearly tied back to the prequels given his age (meaning he must’ve been an Order 66 survivor, and of course he was) and the fact he‘s the same hyper rare species as Yoda, and a contemporary at that Aren‘t all of them scheduled for May though? Either way, this makes more sense than the Razor Crest being the largest set. Sure, the flagship set not being the biggest is rare, but an $120 AT-AT would probably be pretty puny -

Not quite since a new version wouldn‘t necessarily have printed arms and dual-moulded legs again, so I‘m not sure by how much the value of the 2019 one would actually drop They should do it anyway just to stick it to the scalpers! And I say that as someone who owns overpriced figs like Finch Dallow. ($1000 now on BL? Are they insane?!) -

He did WHAT The Night Trooper BP came out in June and the Mauldalorian one gets released in January, both priced at $23 ^^ Not exactly sub-20, but you can thank the tariffs for that So yeah, the 327th BP didn‘t set a new standard or anything. -

No, as TLG never communicate how well individual sets are selling. Anecdotal evidence is there, but we might as well ask the Magic Conch Shell, about as reliable -

You mean comic Shocker? Because the MCU variant did appear in a Homecoming set! I agree with @Mandalorianknight, the wave doesn‘t seem that bad if you compare it to all the previous Spider-vehicle-riddled 1HY waves. Actual buildings in 1HY waves are pretty rare, and there is potential for something interesting minifig-wise. -

Conveniently forgetting the recent Night Trooper and upcoming Mauldalorians vs 332nd battlepacks, are we? I know, it’s a jab against the 327th one, but decently-priced battlepacks still exist! -

I certainly wouldn‘t mind a new Batfleckmobile, but I‘m not sure how good it‘ll look without the dual-moulded windcreen pieces they used for the BvS and JL sets Still, I‘d much rather have a version with printed windscreens than yet another Burtonmobile or 66 Batmobile. This is what I‘m expecting for the four sets, being VERY optimistic: Logo: Man, Jonkler, Robin, Bane, Scarecrow, Killer Croc Batfleckmobile: Man, Soup Battinsonmobile: Man, Ave Maria Comicmobile: Man, Two-Face -

You‘d think sets within a modular system would have less minifig overlap than other sets, but that‘s far from guaranteed We just had two big Hogwarts expansions that both feature Dumbledore! That said, there has to be at least one redesigned minifig in here. Probably only a new Carnage tho As for the Hulkbuster, if it‘s the AoU version I‘m okay with that since we only had one minifig-scale set before, whereas the IW one had two already and the second one cannot be topped I think. Don‘t do this, don‘t give me hope! -

I wouldn‘t go that far There are some cool-sounding Star Wars sets coming, the Harry Potter wave seems pretty awesome, the Minecraft wave intrigues me, and Sonic will have some neat additions. Many other licensed themes we still know next to nothing about (Jurassic World, One Piece, Mario, Fortnite, and Animal Crossing). But yeah, Marvel and DC are in a bit of a rough spot. Maybe the sets will be well realised, but the choices are super bland -

And the price for most creatively bankrupt theme goes to… …DC for providing nothing but Batmobiles and a logo, but Marvel is not far behind Are they serious with this wave? Another Hulkbuster, ANOTHER Spidey vs Doc Ock mech set, another Miles mech, another Spidey car, another, buildable Iron Man, another buildable Groot What version of Groot could they even do besides the one from Vol 2 in the ravager suit? A carnagised version? Granted, a new small-scale version of the Bugle could be cool, but I smell lots of repeated minifigs. And the Sandman set sounds very similar to the NWH one
