To me, the most disappointing thing about the chess set is the boxart style reveal for the upcoming waves I was hoping for a throwback to the 2001 sets, similar to how the Star Wars anniversary-related boxart was handled

Exactly Good point. Still not sure if medium nougat is the best fit, but at least it’s more accuarate than reddish brown. Hair colours are just so hard to pinpoint

That hairpiece already exists in that colour, in fact it’s the first colour it existed in (along with the dark brown version), so it’s not all that exciting

The two helmets have coexisted for quite a while now. The “new” ANAD helmet mould was introduced in 2017 and was used for many characters besides non-MCU Iron Man, even in other themes. The “old” Iron Man helmet mould continued to be used until 2019, made a pause in 2020 due to a lack of MCU Iron Man minifigs and now returns for the Infinity Saga sets TLDR: The ANAD helmet wasn’t a replacement for the 2012 mould Tonks didn’t leak, did she? Arthur and Molly technically did leak, but only in the background of a picture by Kingwong75 with their backs turned

That’s not unusual. I can’t think of a single wave for any theme where every last minifig leaked beforehand. I think it’s usually around two-thirds of the roster before the rest is revealed along with the official pictures. After that point, factory leaks are obviously obsolete Look at the recent Winnie Pooh set: only the Piglet and Pooh minifigs leaked, the rest remained unseen until the boxart surfaced on IG.

Honestly, I’m already more than satisfied with the minifig selection as is. Daredevil, the Punisher, and Black Cat have all been requested for years, so these three alone are worth getting the set I’ve seen more expensive sets with fewer desirable minifigs included, so in that regard it’s already a winner

The only way for us to get some truly unique characters would be a post-POA set, and I’m not sure how likely that is If it’s the Hogwarts Express, the chance for new characters would be practically zero. Except for random students, but I wouldn’t call those “unique” If it’s a buildable creature/character/artefact, I wouldn’t expect much out of the minifig selection, except for Dumbledoro (geddid?) If it’s a post-PoA playset, all bets are off in terms of minifigs. Absolute best-case scenario, so of course it won’t happen Can’t think of anything else to be frank

Why would it? Accessories are there to help sell the regular CMF minifigs because in some cases, the accessories are more interesting than the figure itself (e.g. whenever a new animal mould is introduced). Licensed CMFs are a different story, here the character itself is what sells it. In these cases, the accessories are just a bonus, and sometimes they’re even completely absent like in a couple of figures from Disney S1 It’s also a budgetary issue. Licensed characters, especially cartoony ones, tend to require new moulds for their heads or hair pieces, leaving less budget for accessories. Vidiyo’s characters aren’t licensed, but a lot of them feature complex head moulds, which explains why their accessories aren’t that special, for the most part

We don’t often get minifigs of characters that die this early in the story though Especially in this case, since Ben is one of the few comic book characters who always have the grim reaper on their trail, no matter what continuity or parallel universe they’re in

Do you want a pre-assembled set or somethin‘? Jk, I know what you mean I think we got confirmation sometime in summer. Of course we were certain about the D2C set being Diagon Alley a lot earlier than that, but that was mostly fueled by false rumours. I remember that Falconfan made a countdown on IG which confirmed what the set was (which annoyed some people because they expected more info out of the announcement, but at that point no reliable leaker had confirmed the rumours yet)
