LEGO Star Wars 2022 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
BrickBob Studpants replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Peli is arguably the side character with the most appearances in both shows, so it‘s definitely justified Regarding the pacing issues in TBoBF: I think they could‘ve sold it as Mando S3, with a few tweaks. Put the flashbacks into one longer episode as the season premier, and then have Boba‘s and Din‘s two storylines run in parallel, before they meet up towards the end of the season Then again, people would‘ve complained about too much focus on Boba in that scenario -

Hehe, called it! I definitely believe the set could be released earlier. After all, why would they release a single set in June sandwiched between the dioramas in May and the 2HY sets in August? Always found that suspicious -

A boat? I thought the goats were supposed to pull a chariot Btw, I would fully expect the goats to be brick-built, I mean they have to be big enough for Thor to ride, right? And at this point, they just want to spite us with the non-returning goat mould -

The Bib Chungus play feature is just glorious, especially when combined with his alternate facial expression Has to be one of the darkest play features ever included in a set -
Wizarding World 2022 - Rumors & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
Does it though? I mean it doesn‘t even appear until the fifth instalment and is only relevant in two of the films I‘d love to have at least one set based on it, but not with this price tag Diagon Alley on the other hand marks the entry into the wizarding world, it appears in almost all of the films, and is heavily featured in the theme park. Definitely more justified in my opinion. Also, even if you‘ve never had contact with HP before, DA is easily identifiable as an array of magical shops, whereas the MoM is… a governmental institution Not the same general appeal I would say Those are individual sets, not flagships of a specific theme (ok, Creator Expert is technically a theme, but you know what I mean) -

Straight out of my nightmares Indeed, we hadn‘t. My point was more about iconicity though, not necessarily about the (un)expectedness of the subject matter Case in point: Last year‘s D2C was not what we expected, but Hedwig‘s certainly iconic enough to deserve a set like that -

Exactly That‘s what I‘ve been saying the whole time: it‘s the biggest HP set ever, whatever the subject matter is it has to deserve that honour without the slightest shadow of a doubt Not sure why people think the MoM is even anywhere close to being a contender here. It‘s simply not iconic or important enough in the grand scheme of things. Just look at the flagship sets of other themes: Star Wars: Millennium Falcon Marvel: Helicarrier DC: The abovementioned Batcave LotR: Orthanc HP 2018-2021: Hogwarts / Diagon Alley Jurassic World: T-Rex + gate Hard to find anything more iconic in any of these cases. Exceptions include Barad-dûr, the visitor centre, and the Avengers Tower for LotR, JP, and Marvel respectively, but the three we got are still worthy of the flagship title -

If this is all a ploy by TLG to destroy the reputation of EVERY SINGLE leaker out there, then chapeau, they've outdone themselves Marvelous work, if so -

There actually wasn't, muahahaha Soon we finally get to see a live re-enactment of Wormtail's noble (?) sacrifice on this very forum I've been looking forward to this all year long And no, you're not getting out of this with a puny loophole like that Trelawney outfit -

Listen, I sacrificed a goat to ancient demons from a different dimension, went into full conspiracy mode based on a vague hint, somehow two members here are after my bank account now, I got featured on promobricks‘ IG story, and all of that happened in the span of two days. How much more mad can it get?!? -

Promobricks has a countdown going, but this doesn’t appear to be for HP, seems more like Technic or Speed Champions or something with that music and the gear emoji They just enjoy needlessly torturing us, don’t they -

Looks cool and all, but how exactly can he see through that helmet? Don‘t remind me Well, we still don‘t know yet if the remaining three DCEU films this year will have tie-in sets or not I think the chances aren’t too terrible. WW84 got a set, so The Flash, Black Adam, and Aquaman 2 should get at least one each as well Unlike the last few DCEU films, these three are perfectly suitable -

Actually, you‘re right. They didn‘t have to include the „siriusly“ part, the post would‘ve worked just as well without it. And as @Flixter says, there is a full moon included too. Coincidence, or more? Maybe I‘m reading too much into it (AGAIN), but the Dobby thing could also be more than a joke. Maybe a remake of Dobby‘s release? If they give Lucius a new faceprint, I wouldn‘t mind that Either way, the list can‘t be that far away -

*Dobby’s sock UCS set intensifies* Seriously though, I somewhat doubt HP will come out on top for me this year. Between the delicious 2HY Star Wars rumours, the Jurassic World sets that just got revealed, the Stranger Things set that’s been hinted at, the movie-licensed Speed Champions cars, and the upcoming Indy sets, HP has some serious competition this year While I liked last year‘s assortment in the end, the 2022 range has to surpass it by quite a margin to secure the top spot -
My comment wasn’t directed at you, my apologies if it came across that way
