  1. nice stuff here, Kahir. I like how you used the same first picture again, but to start the story of a different character. The interior is interesting - at a first look I thought the wall was too messy, but came to appreciate it after a while. As for the trees, the central one is definitely too regular, the others might work with few more leaves. Nice story and cool fig posing
  2. I don't have any objections. Book III Challenge III will be upon us soon, won't it? Better to have a new king by then. and @Servertijd I wish you all the possible sleep!
  3. I assume you asked him privately and he gave his availability for that?
  4. well I assume dG won't be voting in our tête-à-tête, so I won't either. in the other one, @Servertijd gets my vote
  5. another tough one @Servertijd gets my vote. @Henjin_Quilones - question: how long will the final round last?
  6. Really nice! I like the separated sections, I need to try that out myself. I also love the way you build the terrain
  7. Lovely nocty stuff here, Ex! Interesting choice for the water - the result effect is very nice and fits well with the surreoundings. I didn't know about your previous vignette about nocty civil war - love the idea of you telling the story of what happened before while the Guild is temporary closed .. and I guess @Blufiji will be also glad to see this, when he pops back around here (<-- note the 'when', not 'if'... )
  8. Thank you, SK. It's good to hear that about my very first vignette, where the few element MUST come together well, given the size restriction
  9. Well this was a very though one, which is why it's taken me so long to vote... needs to be done though right? @derEselausErgste @de Gothia
  10. A nice build with some nice details! The statue/shrine looks good, I like the dwarves underground as well as the interior. Speaking of which, watch out not too use too many colours on the floor, to avoid having it look messy. Yes, I've said this in my other comment, I know ^^ But look, this time you've chosen them better and the walls don't look as messy as the Hermit's hideout - in fact, I really like how the green in the upper part looks on that wooden section which in turn rests on the grey-orange wall (not sure why orange, but I still like it ). Keeping on with the same idea, you could avoid those dark bley tiles on the handrail of the bridge and keep them light bley instead, to be consistent with the rest of the bridge, plus there's also a bit of light bley rocks in the middle of dark bley ones. I'm not too sure about those arches in the snow (how can they stay up?). But the highlight for me here are the brickbuilt creatures (the goat, but especially the wyvern) - I can't build them, but you seem to be quite talented for that type of LEGO build. Keep going!
  11. Good one! I never tried building creatures myself, so I am no expert. On the spot, I'd say a slightly different pose, with the wings folding slightly downwards would look better - that would also help to work on the elbows, which look a bit too exposed and on the shoulders, which look a bit too rigid.
  12. Nice! I like how trees and rocks come out of the water together I think an overall pic might help to better understand what's going on. A clearer storyline would also go in that direction, as at the moment I can't quite follow what the connection between all the lines is (the guys like to drink, but they are suddently growing vegs somewhere else, while a wyvern appears...). One last thing you could try to get the build neater and less messy, is to avoid using so many colours for the build-up parts - to be more precise: on the walls of your building I can spot dark bley, light bley, dark tan, reddish brown and dark brown; all this stands on the rocks (mainly light bley, but also tan!) and mixes up with the trees (mainly dark brown again) ---> I'd say pick only one for the wall (or maybe one + one for a bit of texture), one for the rocks, one for the trees and stick to it, watching out for those bits where they inevitably mix up (for example a wooden structure coming out of a tree). If you do this, It might end up looking 'too separated', yet it should help on the long term. Well, at least this helped me Nice job though, keep it coming!
  13. Lovely done, HQ! I can't clearly see the dragon in the doorway, which is a pity - or you meant for it to be that way? As for the lighting, I can tell there's something weird about it, yet my eyes aren't trained enough to tell what it is. On the spot, I'd say the red one through the roasting pit is too strong (so I can't see the oven one clearly enough), while the right hand side of the build is too dark, which confuses things a bit, despite being realistic given the daylight coming in. But yes, just trying to give you some inputs, I'm not the lighting expert, as you know Other than that, I like all the activity and the details, plus I love the way you're fleshing out Druidham through all these interiors!
  14. Thanks, SK. You're one of those who took the time to comment on my builds from the very beginning (my beginning, that is), which has always helped me to improve and pushed me to do so. Thank you! (I can't find any 'thanking emoji'...)
  15. Uhmm it works sometime but not always... @Kai NRG thanks for the ctrl+i tip, I didn't know it. I'll try it if the button doesn't work.
  16. Lovely job, Jesse! [Btw, you're a MOCcing machine! ] The blacksmith reminds me of the old classic set, really nice. That wall texture is definitely a highlight! As for the landscape, I think what @The Last of Nergoue meant is that plants of the same type naturally tend to grow in patches, as they spread closeby. A pretty mixed-up combination is also possible though. Whatever the case, I like it as it is
  17. Has anyone noticed the italic button doesn't work properly when writing a post? It often (not always) doesn't do anything at all, so I have to copy the text from somewhere else where it's already in italics. [I wasn't sure where else to post this, plus I was lazy and didn't wanna go through the whole Eurobricks..]
  18. haha I must admit, this is kind of exciting So, after sleeping on it, I've decided to adopt the same reasoning for each match-up, which I'll put in a spoiler for those who want to read. And my votes below. @Faladrin @Henjin_Quilones @Grover @en_zoo
  19. TL,DR.... Jokiiiiing Really nice entry, Grover. As I mentioned for someone else, the ide of having different layer was very clever - I didn't think about it all. I like how you used the different floors for the different moments of the story. One detail about the build is that you left some studs up (on the stairs in the basement, on the borders of the upper floors) that look a bit odd given the tiled floor all around them. On the other hand, I really like the middle-to-upper-floor staircase as well as the furniture in general. As for the story, while I do believe you could've made it a little shorter (not because long is bad, but simply because avoiding repetitions slims down the whole thing, making it flow more nicely), I got really involved with the reading and really enjoyed it - an intertaining adventure with a cool flashback, a true Avalonian atmosphere and touch of legend. I also think you managed well in creating a character susceptible to change according to potential contributions from others, as you mentioned it was your intention, which makes your entry all the more attractive
  20. oh my, she looks a bit scary I can easily figure how inflexible a queen she'd be! Lovely build and short story to accompain it - a neat entry
  21. I guess the tree on the right hand side could have more leaves, or it simply could be dying of an illness. I like how you have kind of two builds in one - it really didn't cross my mind. And yes! An avenger was missing among all the claimants. So, the guy doesn't sleep, does he?
  22. really nice entry, neat and well presented. I love that Cinnatus finished plowing his fields for once
