  2. Probably, but the reason might be quite different than you think. Here's a recent article in German, and a quick Google translate of the statement sent by LEGO Germany: "The LEGO Technic Set Bell Boeing V-22 Osprey was developed by us in relation to the aircraft's operations in rescue operations. The aircraft is mainly used for military purposes. We have long followed the principle of not designing sets with military vehicles. In this case, we have not strictly followed our own guidelines and high standards and will therefore review the plans to launch the product on August 1st. ”
  3. That's how it works usually, and that's how you could see reviews of 42112 and 42114 last week. 42113 did not arrive to the reviewers in time before the embargo was lifted.
  4. Yes, it was quite refreshing to see. Recorded it but did not make it to the review as I thought it was way too long already. Btw it's interesting to see how often the dbg variant is used in non-Technic sets.
  5. @Gimmick if you don't use the Control+ profile then there's practically no need to change the structure. You assign 4 buttons to the 3 gears and the park/tipping position and switch between them manually, and the gearbox won't jump unnecessarily between gears. @I_Igor you can PM me the timestamps and I can make the screenshots for you. Raw video is 4k so that should be usable.
  6. Absolute 0 does not play a role here, that is only used internally as a reference for the application to be able to rotate by 90 degree increments. Park position is at 6 hours, 1st gear is at 9 hours, 2nd gear is at 12 hours, 3rd gear is at 3 hours. Switching from park to 1st requires a 270 degrees rotation counterclokwise since the physical block is between 6 and 9 hours. Hope it makes sense. If you release the throttle it always goes back to park gear, does not matter in which gear you were previously. This applies to automatic and manual mode as well, so the manual mode only sets the target gear but the gearbox does not stay in gear. Tipping is engaged in park position, so that works every time the truck is not moving (meaning it is not in any other gears). I showed a lot of things there but did not really take separate photos during building, so the best I can give is some screenshots. Which parts would you like to see? For a little Sunday morning fun here's 42030 and 42114 working together:
  7. Even more torque -> even less speed. The set has enough torque in 1st gear, it can climb a fairly steep incline. Actually the long & low nose is much more limiting than the motor power. Off-road performance could be improved with lockable differentials, that would help a lot.
  8. The purple clip is used to detect the 2 endpoints during calibration, as the L motor has absolute zero positioning it will "know" the 0/90/180/270 degrees positions where it needs to rotate to in the different gears.
  9. My 42070 is still in a warehouse with most of my LEGO, I'm still in the middle of moving between places... I suggest to watch the video, I showed the gearbox in details :) There're 4 gears, switching between them is done mechanically with the L motor. 1st-2nd-3rd are for driving and they change the gear ratio between the XL motor and the wheels, 4th is "park" as the wheels are fixed in this position (through a linear clutch) and the XL motor drives the 2 linear actuators. 3rd angular motor is for steering.

Not forgotten, but I did not want to squeeze everything in one super long video ;) @Magical Duck The linear clutch acts as a break in "4th gear" when the wheels are fixed and the bed is operated. I guess there's a clutch there to protect the gearbox if someone tries to push it by hand in this position.
  11. I guess something similar happened on the way... but I am not surprised anymore, last time I saw the DHL guy grabbing my box from the rear of the cargo area of the van and he was literally walking on all the other boxes.

  16. Where did you see the dumb hub? The Technic hub, L & XL motors are available since a few weeks.

  19. Depends on the gearing/size of the vehicle and whether you want to run it in ludicrous mode, but if you want to use the full potential of the buggy motor then yes, you need one BuWizz per motor.
  20. This is the speed you can achieve with 2 buggy motors and 2 BuWizz units in a car that has approx. half the weight of the Sián. I don't think the 1:8 LEGO supercars can achieve a speed that they'd deserve based on the size and the look. Maybe if you remove the complete interior and squeeze in 4 buggy motors and 4 BuWizz units :D
  21. There're actually 2 PF-equipped sets available from LEGO, 42095 and 42082. If you want to stick to Power Functions and don't want to jump on the Powered Up-bandwagon yet then I suggest to by 42095 and a Power Functions servo. It is a fairly cheap combination and you'll get a full set of parts that can be used to motorize an average vehicle. If you'd rather go with Powered Up then 42099 is a good choice, but this platform is a bit challenging yet to be used in MOCs.
  22. That's clearly a mistake, there's no space for 2 motors inside. Here's a quick test with Power Functions & BuWizz:
