Sounds like a nice idea, that Aragog ride is very ingenius!

You've done a good job of replicating the model here. It is difficult to get the colours exactly right within what in available in Lego and so I think it looks a little bright. Otherwise though, very nice.

Thanks for the comments guys Unfortunately, that's just the way it's attached with the tabs taped a little way down the banner.

I was looking through some reference books of 18th/19th Century naval life and came across this picture of the old Admiralty builing in Whitehall, now used as government offices: I really liked the neoclassical look and so I decided to build my own interpretation of it. Instead of using white and red brick, i've used white a grey. I've also condensed the front wall slightly and only displayed the middle entrance to the building. Anyway, enough talking. Here is the overview picture: The streets outside are busy, with gentlemen, naval officers, messengers and even a press gang chasing an unlucky man. Can you spot the french spy? Inside, an admiral stands on the steps beneath the entrance, marked by an anchor. Marines parade to the left White a boy brings a post-captain his horse A few more random shots: Hope you liked it as it was great fun to build, except maybe laying all those hundreds of 1x1 round plates!

MOC: Here I stand! Martin Luther at the Diet of Worms

Very nice, good detail on each of the figures. I particularly like the peasants in the gallery. -
This has got a really unique feel and style to it. You've managed to cram it full of great details too

I'm glad you like the ship. I'd be happy to give you some comments on your ship building if you make a progress thread for a similar ship. I used the technique which is in Captain Green(Blue) Hair's tutorial so I would recommend starting with that as a basis. There are certainly better ship builders out there than me Since this has been bumped, I should say that I have bought a couple more midsections in redbrown so as to be able to make a longer ship. After I complete my current land based MOC I might think about starting again with a bigger ship.

Wow, thats an amazing pumpkin! I'd love to see some more photos.

These figures are really very impressive, I don't think enough people will have seen them with this hiding on the third page though!

There was some discussion a month ago about two new shops opening in the UK: Cardiff and London. The setting up day is 13th November, so I would expect the store to open a day or two after then.

The Penguin's Harry Potter minifigures..... )
Duke replied to The Penguin's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Your custom figures are amazing! I wonder, do you keep them all assembled or use the parts for other figures after photographing? Do you have any plans for Harry Potter MOCs with your figures? -
I really like this, I think you've done a great job on the landscaping and small details like the boat's wake. Always good to see more Armada MOCs too.
-
Your slapped together work of a morning is still far more impressive than what I could come up with! The surf looks great, maybe a few more white cheeseslopes would give it a choppy look. Can't wait to see another big MOC from you.
-
Looking good! I like the colour scheme and the interior deck details. I wonder if the gunport line would like better with a visible line of tan above the flags rather that straight into the black?
-
Great idea and a funny little MOC
-
Wow, definitely one of the best miniscale creations that I've seen. Great idea!
-
This is a great MOC, thanks for sharing it with us. The whole rounded shape is quite nice but I love the interior details!
-
Quite a nice tumblehome technique, though I would not have the white showing through at the edges. The patterned flags are also and interesting touch. Nice shape though.
-
Right! Finally got around to photographing the redone headrails. I've also added some more crew and a ships boat on the centre of the deck. Can I call her finished yet?
-
I experienced the same thing I also wrote an email to customer services.
-
It looks like it must just be a temporary site issue since I seem to have the same problem.
-
What a perfect ship! I think the standout feature for me is the working and impressive looking sails but the whole thing looks excellent, right down to the details of the crew.
-
Great little MOC you've made here, I love the action feel of the figures all pushing on the ram at once. It might look good to have some varied colour and texture on the outside though.
-
Ok, another update. I've added headrails in red and changed the tiling to be red all over. I had had it like this in some earlier stage of the build and changed my mind but actually I think it is an improvement. @ZCerberus, I unfortunately don't have any of those pieces, though I did see you used them in your earlier construction of the Phantom Mk II and thought they looked good. I'll put them on my bricklink wanted list and try and pick a couple up next time I order something.

The technical capstan discussions are slightly over my head i'm afraid but nevertheless, this is very impressive. The shape is great and as you say the curve of the bow looks good. I can't say i'm totally sold on the dark blue, but perhaps that's because it only covers a small section at the moment.
