  1. I like the lance technique on the cavalry with the knife attached via flags. A nice little troop!
  2. I was just going to say.. yes $50 no way since in the UK it is £50! I was lucky enough to find this, the Skeleton tower and another small set for about £35 total :) [Apparently built once and put back in the box, though I await the shipment from ebay to see what they are really like ]
  3. They're not £5. They're £2.49 just like the previous ones, you've just left the price in Australian $.
  4. Ah, thanks for the index add! Well, obviously i'd like to make a minifig scale ship of the line but.. The project size is a bit beyond me at the moment I could make a smaller one since i've recently picked up a BSB so have the hull from that to use.
  5. Has no-one looked at the background? There's the fish :P
  6. The Lord has been summoned by the king to aid in a great battle, he rides out of his manor with the local soldiers. The lady is tearfull of his departure.. But life must continue in his absence.. Hunters are returning to the kitchens as he leaves. ======================================================== The complete MOC with detatched parts. The roof of the house removed to reveal the essential part of every MOC.. And the whole gallery.. Here
  7. I've just stacked the cylinders, resultingly it's rather weak
  8. Hmm, I may have to rethink my impulse set >:-) By the way skipper24.. good job ripping off my lego set presentation X-O
  9. Thanks for the positive comments, the design.. was a bit tricky. I found it hard to get the right shape when it was so small (slopes can slope too much etc) but I think it came out ok. The real problem was finding the bricks in my black brick box (not a good idea to have one of those :P)

    Harbor MOC

Very beautiful with lots of little features which add to it immensly *y*
  11. Mini 2b I was busy yesterday evening making a mini 'ship of the line'. Here is the result. Hope you like it!
  12. Double entry posting on! I was going to wait for someone else to post before putting my large entry up.. but I decided to go ahead anyway. I hope you'll agree the presentation is better for this one, i made sure to photograph outside and was careful with the image editing (in paint ;-))
  13. Large Class Entry: Shipwrecked Contains 180 pieces (aprox.) including minifigure. Description: A year ago, a carpenter of a merchant vessel was wrecked along with his crew. The sole survivor, he made his way to a deserted island. Luckily for him, there was a fresh water supply and an abundance of fish in the area. He now lives a simply life there in a shelter he built from driftwood and wreckage. Fishing and relaxing in the sun from day to day.. and hoping one day for rescue. More Pictures:
  14. Thanks for the positive comments everyone, it was just a chance for me to try building something small, try out cave technique made from slopes.. and a chance to use recently purchased green *sweet* . Regarding the tree, I know what you mean, it is a bit out of place as such, the bats help a little.. but.. not sure how it can be made 'spookier'. Anyway, it is too late now, this MOC has hit the lego 'graveyard' so to speak ;-)
  15. Two thieves have heard of a buried treasure somewhere near the tree in the graveyard. They sneak along at night to try and dig it up. Unfortunately for them, in defiling the graves they get more than they bargained for.. The treasure was way to deep to reach anyway!
  16. Ok i've used a lighter picture. Can't get a new one today as it's too dark for natural light now. Tell me if you think it's ok.
  17. I do worry about that.. the 3rd picture is lighter but it's a bit unclear. I think my camera is pretty good but I always struggle with getting the right balance of lighting and focus etc :/
  18. I've just added my impulse entry, hope you like it!
  19. Impulse Entry: The Marine Contains 24 Pieces (Including Minifigure) Description: A marine stands guard on deck, complete with musket, epaulettes and hat. Below him is a gunport. Collect multiples and build yourself a whole ship! Other Pictures:
  20. Name: Reginald Age: 31 Background: He knows little of his past at this stage but carries a unique black sword inherited from his forefathers. Faction: Black Falcons Class/place in hierarchy: Inquisitive Wanderer Equipment: Knights Helm, Black Sword. Looks:
  21. Thanks for the comments everyone, i'll bear in the mind the picture resizing for future posts. The idea is that the townspeople have been enslaved by the dwarves, hence the dwarf with the whip :-)
  22. Ah, I think that is my fault, I uploaded this resized picture for this post.. and I can only assume that it needs remoderating when edited. Apologies everyone, hope you will check back later *y*
  23. Went yesterday and got the 2007 castle for £35.. 50% off! *y*
  24. Dwarven Mine Click HERE for the gallery, should be moderated now I think. I recently purchased my first 'new' lego since pre dark ages and in fact went on quite a spending spree within the new castle line (it's all so nice!). As everyone else, my favourite was probably the Dwarven Mine so I was keen to make a MOC involving this. It's not huge and i'd have liked to have made something bigger but i'm afraid this was the limitation of my grey bricks for the moment. Anyway hope you enjoy! (Sorry if some of the pics in the gallery take a while to load, they're rather high quality :-$)
  25. A very fine town, i'm envious of it. I love the little features like the ATM machine, they really add to it *y*
