And here I thought the last two scum would try to blend in to last a bit longer. This helps a fair amount. I will take the Pearl, please. -

That seems awfully convenient for you being in the final list. Would you care to elaborate on why? -

This is dumb, but... Seriously? I want a very good explanation of this or I'm switching my vote. -

Or maybe we should get two fakevotes since there are two lynches! Unfakevote: Male Lover Why unfakevote Male Lover? Because I'm ready to do this: Vote: Male Lover (LegoDad) (Did I need to unfake vote first... do I get a new fake vote even though I have a real vote? What's the protocol?) I've already made several points againt the Male Lover. I've not been put at ease by the responses, and I think there's a pretty good chance he's scum. I didn't like the way he said The Cop "was doing fine screwing with you guys all by himself", as if he's not a part of the town in addition to the idea that he tried to pawn the Cop's death off as a vig metagame kill. I'm sorry to hear the Cultist was unable to participate. As for the Snake Charmer, your contributions today have been non-committal until called out on it by the First Day Lynch. -

There's something uncomfortable to me about this post. It's like you're saying, "Hey, look over there!" You really don't think there's scum among the fake voters? Surely you're smarter than that. As Female Lover said, he asked me to be on the lookout for it in case he wasn't around. I don't know why he trusted me with that information. Apparently the Witch felt I was trustworthy enough to share the info with as well. At least, that's what I was told by the Female Lover. I will say that they're not both scum... they wouldn't have shared any of that information with me if they were. That said, if the Witch is town and the Female Lover scum, I wouldn't put it past her to try to curry favor with me by sharing the information. She wasn't particularly careful with the reveal. I'm not sure exactly what I've done to earn that trust, but the way I see it is this: Witch and Female Lover both scum - Not a chance. I haven't been in contact with the Vig, so there's no reason for this information to have come to me if they're both scum. One of Witch and Female lover scum or SK - possible Both Witch and Female Lover town - possible I don't yet have a strong opinion on which of the last two is more likely. I have yet to talk to the Witch in private. You have been missing my fake vote for Male Lover, which was fairly early. You even got upset with me for not unfakevoting BONAD. It's a bad idea when there are more concrete suspicions to follow. In the absence of solid suspicions on people, it's useful to eliminate chaff. That said, if someone makes repeated mistakes in comprehension, like the Male Lover seems to do, it begins to beg credulity. He can't be bothered to properly read the stuff he's quoting. He can't be bothered to even remember what he wrote himself. The main problem when lynching lurkers is when you have several, how do you properly choose between them? It's not hard for the scum to latch onto a small thing a lurker says and blow it up in such a way that the lurker isn't responding to. The moral of the story, of course, is that lurkers hurt town most when they're townies by bringing suspicion away from the scum we're trying to catch. Voting simply for inactivity is not ok, IMO. Voting for repeatedly showing up and not contributing is a bit different, and I'm beginning to suspect Cultist really is avoiding at this point, but that's more substantive than simply not being around. -

Among the things everyone else has said about your contribution today, you're also forgetting the fact that the inventors are both bulletproof. We should know in plenty of time to create a lynch bandwagon on the Witch whether or not the Fairy Tale Pill saved him. That said, it's the least likely false claim of all the possibilities because it's the easiest to disprove and in the shortest amount of time. It does have the unfortunate side effect, for the Witch, that honesty about the pill doesn't tell us a thing about alignment. If the Witch is scum and got a lifesaver pill, well that makes things pretty easy for him doesn't it? -

That's why we have fake votes in this game. A fake vote is only a more formal way of accusing someone, but it's still not a real vote. Heck, I've got two fake votes out there right now. We need to prod and poke people we're suspicious of so that we can figure out if those suspicions are warranted or not, and so that we can agree on a best lynch. It's unlikely we're going to have enough evidence on day 2 to convict someone with certainty. Early in the day is the time for these types of pokes. Anyone who suggests we shouldn't be poking (which is not what I think you're doing) is anti-town. In that case, I get that you have selective reading skills. Or you're being willfully negligent in that regard. -

Really? This post actually quoted the Werewolf telling us that the person with the most votes would be lynched. -

I have to say, Doctor, I have to agree with FDL here. I'm a bit disturbed that you're proposing a policy lynch. Policy lynches based on inactivity are not, in general, a good idea. Policy lynch a player for lynch all liars, sure, but inactivity doesn't tell you anything conclusive. Conceivably, we still have plenty of night actions available to us with which to investigate those players and we're early in day 2 still. I'm not at all put at ease by this post. You're looking to vote the Stump again today because he hasn't contributed much. Are you just like the doctor? Eager to pick out those townies who you might be able to get a lynch going on due to inactivity. While the Stump hasn't contributed frequently, what he's had to say hasn't been scummy. The content of what is presented is far more important than the frequency. You're also here trying to defend those who tied the vote. Which of your teammates tied the vote yesterday and now have heat on them because of it? Also... "it appears we don't need a majority to lynch"... were you in doubt of this yesterday? I think you're trying to pretend like you didn't know something that was made abundantly clear to all of us, and even discussed in detail during the lynch. I'll add a Fakevote: Male Lover for this post. -

This seems like a bit of an exaggeration considering your vote for the Cultist was based on a single wishy-washy post. Just a few posts earlier, you were ready to vote for someone else. A bit defensive? The Cult Leader hasn't accused you of anything today. In fact, I've been watching for it as he made a few comments about it, but the only thing he's said about you today was that he accused you yesterday. Guilty conscience? -

No, of course not. Fakevote: BONAD You cast the final vote for him of the day and you're not surprised? Only reason for that is that you're scum. I seriously doubt any of the killers got uppers last night. Cult Leader, in addition to the female lover, can you tell us how you feel about the Snake Charmer today? -
I am not an active guild member, but I do enjoy following the builds here. I hope the group continues for a long time.

I had overlooked that RoleCopDaMan had said that he heard it from another player. That would incline me to think that the player who he heard it from was trying to curry favor with a townie without helping the whole town. An appearance of being helpful but being helpful in as limited a way as possible. It was clear from the early votes that many of us (and I include myself in this group) had overlooked the single unvote rule. Given that we've now heard that this was the Serial Killer who was already suspicious for the earlier attempt at logic, I'm feeling strongly enough that he's worth a vote. Vote: Serial Killer (Walter Kovacs) As for the earlier comment about pussy-footing about with the votes, the behavior has been a bit reluctant to cast votes today which isn't entirely consistent with past behavior in games like Jedi Temple. However, the method there was the finger of suspicion formatted like a regular vote but using "FoS" instead of "Vote". If we can all agree to commit to a unified format, we can take advantage of the process. Personally, I think the single unvote rule is annoying because it encourages us to do these shenanigans to avoid wasting early votes, and that's an anti-town rule, IMO. Votes are generally a bit more powerful than FoS's in terms of getting people to respond. Maybe this is one of the rules that will change in future days.

I'm really not sure how this is helpful toward the town. Do you think the host is a player in the sense that he's possibly scum? As for me, I'm inclined to agree that the Cult Leader's hasty vote for the day 1 defense struck me as out of place, so for my part I will cast the finger in his direction as well. The confidence with which he expressed that we would learn something from a day 1 lynch was also part of his reasoning that didn't seem all that certain. There usually is less we can learn from a day 1 lynch than any other lynch since that player has contributed less to the game. Perhaps he was hoping to spur on voting so townies would use their vote quickly rather than in the calculated manner that the single unvote rule requires. Fake Vote: Cult Leader (Rufus)

Your accusation seems almost as baseless as that one... except that I took yours like you actually meant it. I also think people should stop harassing the Female Lover for having a painted on headset. It's not that different than my mother-in-law painting her eyebrows on... Actually, I'm pretty sure she's scum, so maybe you're onto something.

Harriet Slutter and the Philosopher's Balls: Chapter 6
fhomess replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I've been trying to simplify my thought process. I try not to think things through too much, particularly early in the game. I took some time off and I was a lot more relaxed in this game as a result. It's easy to get worked up when you're scum hunting or trying to avoid the town. Ah, I totally forgot I made Brickdoctor do that. Really pissed him off, IIRC. I made some comment in the signup thread that I would only speak in beeps if given R2D2. I don't remember exactly what I said, but I think I was trying to give you an opportunity to come up with a valid explanation without suggesting one to you. I wasn't really looking to go out of my way to figure out if it was you or Firuz at that point. I was hoping that you would provide that analysis, since you knew Firuz was scum at that point. If you had consistently made a strong case against Firuz, we might've had Kristel in a position where a mistake was made that would've clued us in. Oh, well, hindsight is filled with coulda woulda shoulda's that we don't really know what the outcome would have been. Scuba was really the only one that made an effort to suggest Firuz was the scum and not you, but by the time we had that conversation it was fairly late. Thanks for the kind words. I was utterly convinced you and the scum were already working together by the end of the day, and even more so when Nicholas turned up town. The role cop hadn't been a strong thought in my mind either, and the idea that they would've been as successful with it as they actually were would have been beyond what I imagined possible.
