  1. Dang I saw the Advent calendar marked for sale but didn't look to much into it and now i regret it, it was like 5 bucks off but they had like 2 or three left at Toys R Us. Either way I will wait for the Death Star until double vip October, I always get my larger sets that way, racks the point way faster than buying one by one, especially with Darth Revan as a promo XDDD
  2. So would this warrant easier finding at Disney theme parks? I know Disney has a policy to never have any sold out on their counters, but seeing how this set is the most wanted set this year is insane. Lego has a no hold set policy, this lady left the store to get the cash from the atm, there was a couple who showed interest on it and the clerk asked his boss on holding sets, he refuted that no, they can't hold it, and the couple who wanted the set ended up buying it instantly. I didn't stick around for the poor woman who went for the money but I can sure you it didn't go well.
  3. Will this forum be finally mobile friendly?
  4. Isn't Double VIP next month? I'm hoping to get everything starwars then
  5. The problem with the Hoth set was the subsequent smaller sets that are identical, it was clearly obvious that Lego designed the UCS set first but their mistake was double dipping on the smaller sets based off it. The Death Star, although the ultimate Lego set, I think everyone was hoping for a new rehaul or update of this set, what we got was the complete opposite, they could have gotten rid of decal's, updated more components from it, and above all made a better throne room for Palpatine considering the final duel has newer and better pieces than the standard set. So many missed opportunities.
  6. I love americana and the US capitol is one of many buildings I love, although the Lego release is not really bad, it's like the White House, I had to buy two sets to make it more complete since I understand they take some shortcuts to make it work, plus if the US capitol was complete it would have been double the price. This the Lego vs the PUZZ 3d for the overall similar look, I have a super detailed US capitol Puzzle, but it would have taken me hours to assemble it just to compare. 7. Just got the Capitol, at first I didn't mind the back being cut off, but now, I'm pissed, they practically split it in half from the side, and the back is just 8x1 bricks, I haven't had a chance to mess with it, but I skimmed the manual. Thing is you need two of these sets to complete the back in some way which is easy but still, and can understand the sacrifice Lego did, but oh well, I have to figure out how to get another 100 bucks easily
  8. I was going to insert this tag line, it's like saying Hey: "You have the original set, re buy it again!!!" then again who are to know better than Lego, I am secretly saving my money to get this set though. This is how lazy they have become; you can see the DUST on the original press release, which should say enough about this UCS: I am just happy I am finally getting the ultimate Grand Moff Tarkin mini figure with dual faces.
  9. His hair piece and him might fetch you quarter of the price of this set
  10. EXACTLY my thoughts, you can't improve this DS anymore without the price increasing, I got mine back in 2014 and ever since then kept adding mini figs and modding ever DS based set like the boasters and the final duel, I use there micro builds to make the falcon fit in the bay. Lego will never get rid of stickers ever, so deal with it, Lego mass produces all this for us, they really don't care about the consumer, any kid will want this. Growing up in a foreign country buying Lego was a luxury I could only get the cheap sets less than 30 bucks, then I moved the states and realized how cheap and affordable they were, after j lost a baby I got into Lego again at a later date, but even the old DS is he ultimate toy anyone can have, but Disney does suck, their products and movies and park tickets have gone way up. Sad thing is people will stay pay since its he ultimate thrill, just wait until the Star Wars land at both parks are done
  11. Easily the next castle would be sleeping beauty I think. Who knows.
  12. I passed on the TIE advanced since it's rebels, but to me the thickness of the capes make the head stick out a bit more than usual and kind throws off the minifigure, I think, it's just a pet peeve anyway I always have extra black capes from other figures, but I so totally would use them while they sit down. Everyone is drowning on a small cup of water to the leaks when nothing's been official, for all we know we have been lead into a merry go round that I am sure people have vented to Lego already about the design and flaws.
  13. I don't know if anyone noticed but vader and palpatine have the new black cloth super hero capes that I totally dislike. I like how the Grand Moff has two faces now!!! Again only reason to get this huge set. In my case this works, because I have Twins and perfect auto justification of this purchase no matter what, one for each.
  14. Me neither, I mean it's cool and all, but if they do plan to re-release it, I'm all for it. I told you guys many times over the real reason I want this Death Star was just for that Tarkin mini figure, in all reality he's the most vindictive Star Wars villain to me and that means a lot to
  15. I practically made that Death Star a while back. New/old/ I love it, the design is timeless, they knew the old one was completely outdated and once I got mine I updated the mini figures and completely mixed in the sets that included the Death Star including the blaster. I will find a way to get this one also, but we can thank Disney for the insane price just for mini figures. I'm glad it's the same thing, I couldn't imagine another version of the Death Star. I simply don't know what you guys expect with that amount of bricks and that price though.
  16. I actually leaped from my seat to that picture and nothing... I don't really care about waiting since I'm so broke, won't be able to buy it for another six months. Plus I hate teasers, the ones who control the flow of information but don't dare release all of it. It's not like they get paid anyways so why even bother. Ever since the DS was given to me as a gift from my wife, I don't know if I was the only one, but I kept upgrading the minifigures that were close to that set, so I practically bought all the sets with new minifigures molds to modernize it, even went far as combining the final duel in the original DS, but my only complaint is that as usual TLG will release like one or two death star troopers/officers/stormtroopers exclusive that set that buying multiple would be the only real way to go.
  17. Finally, good news! Hopefully Lego don't shut them down.
  18. Call me crazy, but I actually had a dream I saw the DS, I don't know if anyone collects MegaBloks, but they are releasing the Ninja Turtles Technodrome from the classic series around september which is another set I want, and it's just as you expect it, big and very fun, and for some reason my dream kept mixing up the pieces from the megabloks to old Lego DS therefore it was quite interesting. Here's a link for reference: https://www.megabloks.com/en-us/shop/construction-toys/tmnt-collectors/technodrome-dpd82
  19. You would have a heart attack with Australian prices on these Lego sets
  20. Do this with the classic turtles from megabloks
  21. Went to my Lego store, as a fan of the architecture line I asked them about the US Capitol and he saw his calendar and saw it slotted for mid September VIP release therefore he deduced Death Star for October so who knows, even they haven't heard much aside from rumors
  22. I went to my local Lego store and asked the same thing thinking they would be there, but from what I heard store exclusives are in now
  23. who cares about bricks, All I really want is minifigures, and that includes that I am hopeful we will get another Grand Moff Tarkin this year.
  24. The problem is that I never see upcoming previews for sets, and the crazy thing with the toy business, it's not like the 90's or earlier where we used to get toy catalogues with everything in one book and lately it's hard keeping up with what sets are where. It's hard keeping up with ALL Lego licenses therefore this forum although not my only source makes it hard to track down actual sets, therefore if Lego stepped it up rather than their seasonal catalogue which even then it's incomplete due to branding exclusive figures I just wish it was easier to see new figs. Kind of makes me want to work for Lego so I can know everything, but Lego sadly it's the most controlling/secretive company in the world in regards to their toys and with good reason... Someone was talking about bootleg minifigs, whenever I have issues with pieces on big sets, i just submit what I need with Lego and send them the serial number for the manual, I know some companies licensed their products where they are super strict without the manual/sn... but there's ways around it, you can go to any bricklink site and just buy one for dirt cheap and get pieces that are hard to get, but you didn't see this from me. XD
  25. I have a dumb question, for the Rhas online exclusive set, what's the turn around time for them to sell them at stores?
