It usually takes the next business day, I literally just submitted a help ticket that got an answer to within half a day at this rate. Missing/broken bricks are part of an automated system now that go through a screening process, if it doesn’t make it originally then they contact you about it.

Purchase Individual Lego Pieces
eldiano replied to Pablo2Yeazy's topic in Forum Information and Help
brick and pieces wins to an extent when you don’t factor the shipping, handling and taxes of brick link stores. Try to get as many bricks that you can through there and resort to rarer and pieces they don’t make anymore. Yes, some pieces are a bit more expensive through lego but what saves the day is the fact you only pay for 1 shipping to get a bunch of pieces from different sets than parting it out and having it auto select different stores with different min.buy price and shipping factored in. -
I am honestly still mad at myself to this day about this. I bought every single Kingdoms set/battlepacks/key chains and toys, it was around the time were the Superhero Marvel/DC Line came out when i completed those lines at the time and somehow I completely skipped the entire Castle 2013/2014 lineup, Now that I want to start looking into buying those sets, it’s impossible, i mean the asking price for kings castle is like 300-400 brand new with smaller sets going over 100usd. I could had have a blue theme castle but even parting it out will cost me 200 bucks because of rare pieces. It’s like a void in my collection, that will not happen ever again though, starting with the 2015 pirates i bought 2 each being over paranoid LOL part of me wants lego to reissue the 2013-2014 but oh well you know, lives and learns don’t youuu
-
Well, according to Zach the Maniac the only themes that matter are Castle, Pirates, Town, Space and Technic hahaha only then we can build like crazy and become Lego Maniacs hahaha I was watching this and thought of this post haha

Ooofff My wish from BL owning Lego was under the assumption that Lego group would at least drop some prices for cheaper old molds and pieces that don’t exist anymore. Kind of funny how they could make some money off it again lmao Don’t play with my emotions, hahaha I too was hoping for a June Release but TLG is keeping this under their chest too much!! THe US LOL August OMGGG. I was hoping June!! I Can’t wait to see it and kind of curious how will they pull this one off I think. We will see. Somehow someway I completely overlooked the fact that Lego released a castle theme back to back from the Kingdoms line, looking at those prices skyrocket I’m morbid at the notion of forking over the cash required for King’s Castle, either from parting this out or outright buying one. My boys were worn at that time but I was too focused with buying all Marvel and DC sets I completely forgot about Castle and can’t wait for the next set to be honest!! I bought a ton of extra armor from Bricks and Pieces from the Medieval Blacksmith to upgrade some of my old knights hehe

If you live in the US take advantage of Michael’s coupons to get them 25% off, you then can usually get a hefty discount on the 6tray/mini shelf combo!!

I learned how to store my Minifigures after literally visiting a local lego pop and mom shop and saw how they do it, the thing is to buy something called scrapbook casing usually a brand called Simply Tidy makes them, since I have a ton of 32x32 I used them as the base but you can literally fit them standing them up, weapons and all, comfortable inside one. I literally do this for all my lines be castle, Star Wars old trilogy, sequel, micro fighters etc. I bought the majority of my casings after Toys R us sold their stores since some of these were only made for Lego!

Heh, I will perfectly fine with waiting now heh, was doing an MOC that required 1,200 bricks and I finally sat down and pieced them all out through brick and link and did the best job that I could on bricks and pieces, at the end of the day bricks and pieces was 200 dollars cheaper than bricklink would had been if I would had purchased them all through there. Granted I have to wait it out but still very happy with the process I guess. Granted the lego pieces are a bit more expensive but it does not compare to the multiple shippings added on through the different stores IMHO.
-
OHHH thanks for the heads up! Wow, you figure lego owning bricklink that they might help by at least having an official store with out of print items for dirt cheap!!! Who knew the goats and animals from mill village raid would be expensive 😭
-
it was weird because I submitted a missing brick order the same day and got that within 7 days, but it’s disappointing that I want to purchase extra bricks but the service’s turn around time is longer
-
So how does that work with Bricklink part of the Lego Group though? I’m about to place a big order through there because the Lego group’s turn around time on bricks and pieces right now is insanely monumental on wait time!! Two months have passed by just waiting for 2 pieces I ordered from them.

General MOC-Discussion, WIP-Help, and Teaser Thread
eldiano replied to Kolonialbeamter's topic in LEGO Pirates
I need help, I suck at making anything lego MOD because i'm mainly the guy who just follows the manual. I am currently trying to modify the creator 3 in 1 ship by trying to combine the brick bounty and the new 21333 pirates of barracuda bay, i tried redoing the entire hull but that would turn out monumental since the end and back need colossal work since i would have to extend them by a couple of studs. from my understanding the LDD is not supported by lego and I was trying to go that route because i'm merging parts yes but I also want to order them from pick a brick/brickling. Am I stuck doing this the old fashion way? I must have literally downloaded and re read every single building instructions possible from Lego regarding pirates so I can learn building techniques but my problem is getting all organized and mixed and matching pieces from other sets without putting them back. I need a few pointers on what's a good way to get organized so I can focus on this and get the order in knowing Lego takes months to send out them out either way!!! Just and FYI gave up on the hull since that would take too much time, my idea is just stuck on adding a door, redoing some handrails, after measuring the sails, the brickseas bounty are the right size since the black seas barracuda reimagine are too big, I love the creator ship but I also want it with pre fab parts, once I realized that ninjago and other famous ship use a brick hulls I was perfectly find with leaving it as is and just completely focus on redoing the upper part. I've been drawing the bricks so i can search for them later but my life would had been perfect with LDD or a CAD but need guidance on what to do. I'm going at this too old school i literally drew an expansion for my imperial guards set from 2015 but haven't sat down yet to know what bricks to use and accessories to make this function. My mind is at a blank now hehe i did not have this problem when I was a kid. heh thank you- 315 replies

ewwww i'm starting to hate creator sets because they lack pre fab parts, i'm in the middle of trying to convert my pirate ship creator 3 and 1 set to a something more prefab I guess, plus 1,500 is over kill IMHO for building. Curiously enough I went to Legoland Discovery center in my city and if you ever been to one, you know the theme is mostly old school castle and I got massive nostalgia because I want a set related to it, there was a lot of castle inspired rides that would make it worth a pretty legoland discovery center set, heh. Now funnily enough, the pirate set has a lego horse with a bricks, and no kidding right now i'm literally looking to update my kingdoms "horses" and to get a horse for the pirate set, but omggg those prices
-
I am so curious on what’s next with the pirates, I am personally working on my forever pirates project now, I loved the idea of modular sets combining back in 2015 and just plan to work on more imperial forts, modifying the creator pirate ship with pre built parts, etc, but would buy them all in a heartbeat, castle and pirates does that for me
-
Has anyone tried to MOD this ship with pre fab parts already? Despite the fact I bought this set using my Legoland discount I haven’t gotten the courage to assemble this yet, but as I scour the forums for MODs all I see is people who bought 2 sets, but I’m more curious if the prefab pieces could actually fit with this ship. I’m crossing my fingers it can, suffice it to say i want to modify the mermaid, masts, sails, flags, animals, I like it as a different ship from what’s out there, but believe it or not I mainly bought for this for the hotel but sooo curious to see if it’s truly possible to do so!

Lego ideas is gaged to see what the consumer might really buy, i remember they did this for ghostbusters, the original Cusoo ghostbusters inspired a ton of ghostbusters HQ ideas that did the same goal and Lego cancelled them, next thing you know Lego releases the Ghostbusters HQ LOL. I’m sure we can expect the same for another pirates wave especially since they are taking those Pirates inspired ideas down.

I agree, Lego biggest problem is really itself. There's too much existing lines to choose from, if they were to narrow it down just to the classics i'm sure the younger generation would follow, They did heavily push for The Lego Movie merch!!! When this past covid 19 filled christmas swept local retailers you could tell the "police" city sets took a hit since it was really the only set no one wanted to buy for their kids amongst all the previous tensions, but seen their yearly report of 2020 I'm glad they made a come back, while I don't miss the days of the nearly 85% being out of stock, you could tell people went back to the basics haha I think everyone took the interview out of proportion, he's just one designer that does not reflect the entire company's intention, while it's nice he can talk about it, I can honestly feel at least a couple of more castle sets in the future, hell, the previous poll they did a while ago clearly proved it was popular, the fact that AFOL and the adult collectors and casual buyers just means that we will get the "good" HUGGEEE Castle sets I hope, Medieval Workshop clearly proved this!!! Lego Castles and pirates are the only lines where now I would buy the entire line up day 1, even all accessories and battle packs without second guessing myself, it's nostalgic, Now i'm looking to buy or bricklink older sets to make them more "modular" I guess, but without a doubt I certainly wish they would release more. Pirates of Barracuda gave me hope that if they can revisit and update a classic from the pirates era, they certainly can do it with a castle, village or imperial armada! I don't think the future is all doom and gloom, we know they can pull something that will wow us but I just think we are impatient and want something more concrete like waves when in reality they could do an IDEAS set in between and randomly do it whenever they want
-
Lego knows what they are doing. Granted like he mentioned the cornerstone of Lego was castle, it's sad to say that historical themed sets are not the future of the company and they know it. Kids don't want pirates or castles. You can walk into any retailer and still find a Creator 3 in 1 pirate set laying around, meaning that if it was hot it would sell like pancakes but it's not the case. I learned to cope with this, but Pirates of barracuda bay was a nice welcome to the old line, I just bought Medieval Blacksmith and haven't sat down to build it but with that said my only dislike of the 3 in 1 sets is the fact that everything is brick. That kind of hints at me that lego is not really trying to even produce or keep original pieces for their sets and i don't know how i feel about that. I made the mistake of not buying any castles sets from 2013 because i was going through a rough time back then but would love to see if Lego at least gave us another chance to buy them at retail. I LOVED the way lego was headed with their 2015 pirates line combining smaller sets into bigger modular ones, would have love to see what would came out of another wave but we got nothing therefore telling you how popular they weren't. My kids would rather grab a minecraft set or super mario set over anything done pirates or castle themed I have laying around, Lego knows this, hence why they would rather focus on one set at a time like IDEAS or Creator and it makes sense.

Kingdoms would fit perfectly with your 7094 mod, but the harry potter classrooms would put it over the top! -
To be honest, I grew up near Portobelo Panama, you guys might not think Pirates and Castles don't go together but colonial spain had all these spanish "forts" with pirates attacking them and destroying/blowing up spanish castles. With that said though it might not use accurate or historical sets but usually the "crown" be somewhere in europe is giving orders to the local villagers or be the ultimate chain of command for the good guys and the pirates being the ones who ransack and destroy everything IMHO they go hand in hand. I guess when you walk around destroyed cannons with moats and ammo houses surrounding a bay with a castle in the background, whenever i was introduced to the pirate sets in the mid 1990's i was mind blown, but in my mind if there's a king ruling over his castle i'm sure he had his imperial ships conquering the world or region around somewhere hehe

Playing with fire mate, with lego once they retire a set all the scalpers and you will try to get one, but when that happens 9/10 it sells on amazon/target/ or barnes and nobles afterwards, were their rewards program is more forgiving than the lego one at the moment except for amazon.

Can you combine Creator Pirate 31109 and 21322 Barracuda Bay
eldiano replied to natesroom's topic in LEGO Pirates
I was eyeing the 31109 for the longest time but getting my legoland annual membership with the 10% discount made me close the deal on this set finally, I get the creator series is all brick but has anyone tried to combine the regular pieces of a pirate ship with this set? I'm curious how it would look like just as normal pirate ship with cloth sails, hull and animals. I am about to seriously see if I can do it, but just curious if anyone has tried this before. I bought this set since it can be a pirate cave or a tavern, the tavern is what sold it for me since it's one of the few full sized pirate buildings in a long time IMHo.
