The Batmobile looks like the beware the batman version funnily enough. Perhaps that was inspiration for the design. Like that the riddler is in a small set as I was missing him in my collection also a new suit on riddler? Excellent. The flash!!!! Finally. Can't wait til unveiling on Wednesday. maybe they will unveil other things too, I don't think this is it for January 2014. from what we can see of batman I reckon he will be beware the batman black and gold design with an all black suit with a gold belt and that shaped bat symbol. Glad that they are using influences from the show with out basing sets off it. Hopefully there will be more to come on Wednesday. As there are no summer dc projects I would guess that like 2012 we will have six sets in January so this is just the tip of the iceberg. can't wait to see what else is to come!!!! i'm so giddy!!!!!!!

Nice ideas. Personally I'd prefer if they made the smaller naboo ship/shuttle used by padme to get to mustafar as it would be good to get a rots padme and the shuttle itself could be useful for both cw and rots as it is used in both. Then again I wouldn't say no to the Nubian class one from phantom.

Oh dear, that could prove disappointing unless they have some killer batman stuff! Shame nothing about thor the dark world or the F4, I suppose Spidey is not too bad as there are still a few usm characters left. iron man could be brilliant if it is him not Spiderman. maybe they are compensating for the fail of the 2013 iron man 3 wave. Same with me but for doctor who. I collect that Character building stuff but only the smaller stuff and the figures as the larger sets aren't that stable or well designed. The figures on the other hand are awesome.

Its the 25th over here which is a week on Thursday. I agree though. It is highly unlikely that they would release sets for that movie judging by the distance from the release date. If the fox thing is true then days of future past could indeed have sets based off it in 2014.

We could get one from ultimate Spiderman if you've seen that show it looks like this: TBH I 'd be perfectly happy with this design and the glider. The show itself is rather silly but this different twist on the goblin is quite a novel idea really. He has been part of the major story arcs recently I read on imbd. Another way to get goblin is there was a report in empire or bleeding cool recently where they claimed gobby would be showing up in asm2 in green and black armour slightly different to Spiderman 1's version. So if that is true if there are asm 2 sets then we could get him then. depending what they show in the trailer! my favourite design I'd like to see would be this as it always has been the favourite of mine:

Hopefully they will just do a version packaged with the figure here in the uk as they did before with lex and Elrond. It'll be about a pound or two more than the standard one but it'll be worth it.

Yeah I suppose so. it would be epic to have a golden armour jor el though. I certainly hope not. I saw the trailer for that beware the batman and it looks bad animation wise. I understand its cgi but the shapes of people are all triangles and he looks like a manga character. Ugh the figures would be even worse than clone wars eyes which even I can abide. Plus who would want to own professor pyg or a toad named anarky in Lego. I hope Lego steer well clear of that show. If they want to do batman stick with the comics and bring out croc or man bat or Ras as the villains and maybe batgirl. I really hope they don't make sets based on that terrible new show for their entire dc winter line. I'd prefer like sam892 says origins loosely based figures. Imagine batman in his origins design that would be very cool and they could print the boots and kneecaps that would look awesome. Edit I have seen the beware the batman show and it is very neat. the batman himself looks brilliant in an all black suit with gold belt, Alfred is like no other I've ever encountered. I'm not too keen on the villains but the animation was of incredible style and quality. I don't know how this would translate into lego. I just hope lego stick with the batman designs they use at the moment. I'd like to see the grey and black suit this year. I hope you are right we need more main marvel villains. winter line I want them to bring in the surfer, goblin, lizard, mysterio, Malekith. So we can have an amount of villains that is equal to heroes. That would be brilliant. I'm hoping for a killer line up for 2014 of figures marvel and dc. last year they showed off some winter figures in the flesh but the others they had cgi images of and then some one built a big image of all the figures for winter 2014. I hope they do that and unveil all of winter's in Cgi photos and they show off some actually at the con. What day do you reckon Lego will reveal these? Last year it was a Saturday about midday in uk time.

So what is everyone hoping to see figure wise at comic con for the 2014 wave. My hopes: Alfred pennyworth, flash and or green lantern, batgirl, killer croc or man bat and I know this might be a bit far off but Ras al ghul and jor el in golden armour for a krypton set . marvel wise: Thor the dark world (at least one set) I'm hoping to see figure wise: Odin, Thor (2013 design), Malekith, green goblin (usm), white tiger (usm), the lizard (usm unless there's gonna be an asm one later in 2014). Some comic figures (unlikely I know) but the F4 and the thing. So that's my hopes. I also hope we'll see sets for the Hobbit part 2 unveiled and if there is a marvel or dc exclusive this year hopefully find out some info on that. So what does everyone else hope to see?

In the uk supposedly it is I believe. Which means we should see some official proper picks from grogall at some point hopefully. Or on thurs it should be up on shop Lego.com.

TBH I agree with navy trooper Fenson. Lego couldn't use that design unless they had Sony's permission to. As we already know Disney own the merch rights for asm 2 we can naturally conclude based on the obvious design of the figure and the fact Lego clearly are authorised to make it that Lego have rights to make products based on asm2. It is all speculation whether we see sets based on the movie but I'd say its a good bet that they will use this asm 2 figure as a preview for the line if this is the case. The fact it is a preview figure may be printed on the card like superman in 2011 was. I hope arrow and Spidey are previews Tbh as this might be the way Lego is doing some of their exclusives after the negativity received over last years figures. Just throwing some thoughts out there. I could be right I could be wrong! Only time will tell.

I prefer to take a positive attitude as last year none of the figures appealed to me. The Green Arrow one could appear differently in the future same with ASM2 Spidey as there may yet be sets of that film. I personally am positive for the future with hopefully some cool stuff being unveiled at comic con next week! I'm really looking forward to some cool figures come next week.

The suit is the right colour! look up the costume and it is the colour specified. The lighting and grading in some scenes makes it look darker but the crest is brown and the suit is earth blue. The scene where he wears just the suit it is clear.I watched it in Imax and the colours and image can't be clearer than that. There are TV spots with him wearing it take a look. There is no confirmation of it being US only. Lex luthor was "US only" for a time but in the uk it was included with a version of the game one every platform, I don't see why this will be any different. Plus a German retailer is apparently including it as a pre order bonus or something like that. I feel your pain though. I hope ASM2 Spidey makes it into ASM 2 sets but Green Arrow is a real shame I hope he is seen in a different variation in the future cause that is a really cool and well known character!

I'm interested in hulk if he is still up for grabs I don't know if he is judging by Flickr. I'd pay cash if he is, I'd pay about £15-£20? Just an offer. Might need a bit of time say a day or two to gather money together but just an offer. never mind have seen Flickr. Will be ready by Monday.

Green lantern sets did not have a movie franchise to support them. Spiderman on the other hand has an upcoming movie with a lot of fan support. The GL movie was an embarrassment. I'm just saying tactically it would be foolish for Lego to get license rights for the new Spidey movie and only make one one off figure from such a moneymaking confirmed franchise without making at least one set. they may have done this with lantern but the hopes of a movie franchise collapsed around dc so it would have been not a good idea to make sets based on green lantern alone due to the failure of the franchise and lack of media representation at the time. Lego rightly pulled out but decided just to give the lantern from the movie away so at least some people would get them. Spiderman is so popular amongst children especially that the movie will most likely succeed even if older fans don't like it. In this scenario Lego are insured that making asm sets would be a good decision due to the popularity of the character. They wouldn't necessarily have to stop making usm sets to make asm as I'd say that we'll probably only get one or two next year and then they movies will take precedence. besides Disney is in control of both lines. Asm is their merch line as is usm.

I still think due to the merch deal and popularity of the asm movies that Lego will be making sets. I hope they do anyway. On another topic I can't wait to see what they unveil for 2014 winter figure wise at comic con. I know I will be watching the Lego news sites this week very closely indeed. Yet another topic I found a doc ock figure from the Spider man 2 line on eBay buy it now for a decent price should Not sure whether I should pull the trigger on it. it is immaculate condition despite being used they assure. Any opinions? lantern comic version from Lego batman the movie could still appear in 2014. There's no telling whether it will but I'd say if they wanted another superhero cameo in a batman set Lego would probably pick lantern and/or flash as they've done aqua man and the videogame designs for those two are probably easy to reuse especially as it appears they are trying more leg printing this year. Plus flash and green lantern are quite popular and well known certainly to kids. Sets that included either one of them would be very popular I'd say!

I was hoping for Steven ammell's arrow then again we could still get a TV show based one in the winter figures and sets. Too right hopefully flash and lantern are Dc 2014 ones even if they are only in sets with bats.

Lego wouldn't just get the construction set rights to make one one off giveaway figure. It would be a a waste of their time and money to make a one off figure after been given the right to make sets about the film. Plus the film is highly anticipated there HAS to be a construction range to accompany it it is part of the merchandise that is made for Spiderman movies. Last year it was mega bloks. Next year its lego's turn . Mark me words the probability of asm2 sets whether there be one or more is likely. Lego wouldn't waste such a licensing opportunity on one figure.
