Good point captain nemo! I couldn't agree more! I loved Thor the dark world! I still hold out hope we may someday get a heimdall, odin, warriors three. My jaw dropped open when I saw the game version of movie malekith! I make it no secret I really liked malekith, His intelligence, ferocity,fighting skills. IMO he didn't need in depth backstory to be a cool character! Plus I know he was evil because his wife and family were killed by the coming of the light when the asgardians brought the new universe to fruition and the dark elves resisted. In the interview with chris ecclestone he didn't specify how his family died but he hinted it was the fault of Thor's grandfather bor when they attempted to destroy the once peaceful dark elves to preserve peace in a new universe as the dark elves viewed the universe as an abomination and the asgardians attacked them worried they may try to rebel. Back to the point. I would love to see sets for the eventual thor 3 if they would give us odin, warriors and heimdall. I would've preferred nothing for IM3 and then accurate sets for Thor 2 last year. Guardians sets are awesome can't wait to own em!

I didn't mean Disney tie ins in general I just meant recent marvel Disney tie ins. The Lone Ranger line was shockingly accurate and one of Disney's best they've done. The new sets this year other than guardians ones and the great X-men one just seem lacking. I love the array of figures we have now but the sets just don't really thrill me as much as the avengers line from 2012 and the even better Man of steel line from 2013. To their credit Disney's marvel line have given us an incredible array of characters in just three years, quite an achievement. Its just this year I've enjoyed the three marvel character films more than I've enjoyed anything since Avengers and Man Of Steel. Its just disappointing that possibly the three best superhero films since avengers have no Lego representation. I mean there is so much set potential in those films. The power plant and clock tower sequences from ASM2 would have made an incredible set! The future and past action of DOFP would've been great in Lego form and the car chases, Plane takedowns and Huge battles at the triskellion would've flown off shelves. When I went to see avengers on opening night this youngster must've been only five or six and his mum was sitting in the row below me holding a cosmic cube escape set. When the film ended I overheard him saying " wow that was so cool I wanna get all the avengers and Loki" . I went to Ace comics afterward to get myself an avengers set and I got there and 75% at least of the audience of kids were queuing up holding avengers sets. My point is after the movie in one shop in Colchester just one small part of England the mere fact that there existed sets for the movie just made the movie feel even more like a special event. I just find it sad that after I saw these three films and heard such laughter, excitement and wonder from the younger audience during those (even nick fury got a cheer) that there aren't sets based on those that the movie could cause an entire shop to be full to the brim with excited people trying to relive those movies in their own way. Disney aren't a selfish company its just sad that they have such power over the merch of those two movies and they choose to neglect them almost entirely because they don't make anything from film rights they gave up in the first place. The franchises by their own admission were dead ends. I hope I can relive that feeling of excitement when avengers 2 rolls around and when Disney (if they have any sense) make a line as great as the avengers and guardians lines. Then again just my opinion.

I think that's rather selfish of Disney. The Fox and Sony films are great films but they never have really stood up to marvel box office wise even when they had their own merch rights. I think Disney should just bugger off and let Lego make the sets they want to make! Lego bought the rights to make any marvel stuff Disney own so surely Disney should just leave em to it. DC didn't control Lego's sets this year! Maybe if Disney just let Lego make their own choices we'd have less sets like the spider copter and more of the quality of the Milano. I mean we still don't have winter soldier, ASM2 Spiderman was wasted on comic con scalpers and the closest thing we have to a good green goblin is a figure that looks like something out of BEN 10! Had lego been given control we might've seen Two Captain America the winter soldier sets, Three amazing Spiderman 2 sets and A days of future past set then the epic guardians wave which certainly makes all of the April wave look terrible! Guardians sets nailed the look,the vehicles,the character designs and finally gave us a proper interior to a vehicle. Imagine TWS, ASM2 and DOFP treated with the same care: We'd have movie spidey, Winter soldier, MCU Fury, 2 variants of cap (maybe Steve), proper widow, falcon, pierce, dehaan's goblin, gwen, Rhino, Peter parker, movie electro, Old magneto, Future sentinels, Prof x (hover chair), Future wolverine, Future storm E.t.c. Movie representation has been terrible for 2 years in Lego form.The Guardians sets and Avengers line are the only marvel movie sets worthy of remembrance. Don't get me wrong I love comic ock, Red Skull, Storm, electro e.t.c I just have never been excited by the sets after avengers other than new X-Men set and Guardians line. Marvel and Lego had better have something pretty special for Avengers 2 cause if they don't go all out on those then that will be this line's crowning failure.

I mean to add a bit of clarity lets put together as far as we know what we know: In the march store calendar an as yet unseen black variant of the riddler chase batman is present. Rumour has It that a UCS Nolan trilogy Tumbler is to be released in the autumn. Sources say that we may be getting a green lantern figure later this year. The 75th anniversary posters released show both a recolored bane tumbler an Adam west style batmobile and a Batman zur en arrh variant figure. Lego's competition confirms a DC superheroes set is coming later in the year. An unknown set is being revealed at SDCC on the day of Batman's 75th anniversary and VIPs get early access. now a new bit of information gives the impression there will be a UCS Lego movie batwing and that is this upcoming set. Whether there is more than one set is unknown. A Third lego Batman Game is coming out in autumn which features other planets (perhaps zur en arrh?) For the zur en arrh I reckon that it will be included with the game like previous games (bad news for me cause I don't have a console and last figure included with pc game was luthor 2 years ago so ill have to buy an expensive console version just for figure then sell game to get Pc version) Tumbler for Nolan would work but only with figures included. Batwing from lego movie is an excellent idea and with some cool figures/features it would work. Green lantern perhaps?

Yeah a set of The Lego movie Wing, movie tank , Westmobile, Recolored Tumbler. Maybe a batman suit for each vehicle: Like a Black riddler chase version, Begins Batsuit for tumbler, West Batman and purple planet X one and maybe Alfred to complete the 75th anniversary feel. If it was just the Lego movie wing I think it wouldn't be a Lego movie set. I would reckon it'd be the wing in a batman situation with a villain in a smaller vehicle. Maybe Black riddler chase version, Green lantern and a villain maybe ras as he is a big iconic batman antagonist.

I think he means an updated version that fits in with the current Spidey sets. I agree it is about time. One with Garfield (sleepyhead) style hair would be great! I mean we got mary jane and she is hardly In any spiderman media nowadays other than ultimate tv series. Personally I want classic goblin and pale green coat gwen.

So as tomorrow is 1st June. Are we expecting the X-men set and Guardians ones to hit lego.com as per the info we have heard before? Oh and update for Uk peeps. Tesco's website currently have the starblaster listed which would suggest that the Guardians sets will be available this month in the UK.

Good point. It could be something else Lego and Batman related. However if it was just some accessory or t shirt or book or something then why wouldn't they say what it was. It must be something vaguely secret at least as they made an effort to not mention what it was! They wouldn't bother with secrecy for something miscellaneous surely?!

i'd prefer neeson though as Ras is one of batman's most prominent and famous foes and begins version of him was slick, contemporary and fierce. Plus Liam just plays the part so well,. My hope for the set is that it is very detailed but scaled for figures, has an ejecting bat pod and includes Batman (either black TDK, TDKR or Batman begins), Ras, Catwoman, TDK Joker and depending on price scarecrow or Lucius (as its his brainchild). There is a good example I've seen of what would be best: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/58144 Hope lego takes heed and gives us the tumbler set we deserve..

Now this is what lego needs to make in their UCS set! Highly detailed but still scaled for minifigures. If they make something like this in black and then throw in say.. Begins suit bats, liam neeson ras in black suit with silver katana, scarecrow and Alfred or catwoman to even things out. Maybe the tumbler will have an ejecting bat pod which would be good especially if catwoman is included. Excellent job here though! It even has the missile launcher!!! -
To violent? Did joker ever snap someone's neck onscreen? Bane was far more violent than the joker and he got a figure. He stood on that army guy's neck and choked him to death, he broke batman's back, killed dagget, killed several guards at the stock exchange, shot his own men and gleefully walked through the street battle picking off police officers one by one. If azog, bane, loki, zod e.t.c can get figures then I see no reason not for TDK joker. Personally between him and Liam's ras I'd go with ras. He is a character we don't have in any form and is the only film ras we have. I don't see why it wouldn't have figures as most UCS sets in SW have them nowadays and I can't see kids buying a 6 years old essentially big tank with no figures.

I just rewatched the movie version of Lego batman: Dc heroes unite and just realised a logical reason that we have a new bat-mobile and plane this year. In the story that the sets draw from, the joker destroyed the bat mobile and batwing with the deconstructor. This means for beyond Gotham he would have new vehicles.This explains why we have a new car in riddler chase and a new plane in the steamroller as he will likely have those in his new cave/use them in game. That makes the reasoning for a new car and plane make much more sense wouldn't you folks agree? On the subject of the tumbler as long as it comes with some DK trilogy unreleased figures I welcome it. Heres hoping for Michael caine Alfred, Liam neeson ras, Begins batman and TDK joker.

I reckon we will get a wave based on the game in winter 2015 as these look like new designs and the story of the game couldn't be more set friendly. I mean a quest to collect objects to beat the baddie? That's Lego all over. Plus the change of location gives Lego another reason to make more batman sets as this game involves other planets which could amount to a set on each planet and lantern ring to collect which fans would just eat up. Plus as It says JL and the legion of doom are at first in competition then team up to stop the baddie that could mean each set could involve Batman and a hero or/and villain versus braniac's forces for the rings. If there were 5 or 6 sets with a ring in each then imagine the amount of leaguers and legion of doom members we could get. I certainly would expect space bats in the smallest set and lantern and new 52 in another and maybe some new villains and leaguers as this would be heading away from Gotham. Maybe the flagship would be braniac attacking the watch tower like the poster implies with some exclusive villains and heroes and batman maybe.

My guess judging by such a big story in this game compared to the last one and all the new designs that maybe 2 things will happen 1. We might get a movie version in early 2015 like with heroes unite. 2. the next wave of sets may revolve around the game story. Think about it:batman has to recover the lantern rings to stop braniac. That means like the usual quest style sets like ninjago each set could come with a power ring batman is trying to recover and it mentions him teaming up with heroes and villains so maybe we could get a range of sets where batman is partnered with a hero or villain or both against braniac's forces fighting for the rings in space. I reckon this is a pretty big indicator that we will get some more league inc lantern, non batman villains plus updated superman,wonder woman, batman spacesuit e.t.c. It would make the perfect story theme hopping worlds. Then a big set with all the rings and assorted heroes and villains! Hope they go this route for early 2015!

I think the reason that there is no landing wheels is because they drew inspiration from the days of future past movie design blackbird especially looking at the back engine and the way the wings point forward as no other blackbird has wings like that. Anyway that's in the future so it doesn't have wheels to land if memory serves in the film it lands without using any like a shuttle in Star Wars. I mean look at the resemblance to the Lego one: http://turntherightcorner.files.wordpress.com/2014/03/x-men-days-of-future-past-movie-screenshot-blackbird.jpg?w=1024 plus the colour dark blue as the other models in the comics and other films are black or very dark grey. I mean it may have landing supports but no wheels as far as I remember.

Just seen DOFP and immediately saw where they took a certain some plot points for the storyline behind the X-men vs. Sentinel set in the description on amazon. Plus the look of the wings and cockpit of the DOFP movie jet seem very similar to the Lego set, ESPECIALLY the engine shape/design. Great film shame there aren't more X-men sets as we are still missing some major players from this film even though the set wasn't a DOFP set its easily loosely based on DOFP.I hope at some point we get: Professor X, Mystique, Iceman, Kitty pride and beast certainly.

One question. It looks like from the box that the back has an entrance to the ship. Is that the case? It looks like at the back of the ship there is some sort of opening door/hatch? That would make this awesome as that's the one thing the quinjet lacked a proper entrance to get to the inside of the ship as the bomb feature was in the way. Also the black bird sadly has no boarding ramp/hatch. If this does then that's awesome!

Is it me or is the tremor track armour remarkably similar to the look of the dwarf soldiers appearing in the next hobbit movie! I wouldn't be surprised if this appears in the next wave of hobbit sets. On topic. I absolutely love this theme. The suitage, the wacky villains the futuristic tech, the resemblance to agents of shield . Glad to see the return of a secret agent theme. I will certainly be picking some of this stuff up.

Hope the guardians sets come out in the UK in June. I was Hoping to pick them all up in one go with the X-Men set as they look like really cool sets and the movie looks incredible.
