Hey LDD, your mock looks great! Nice job! And thank you for sharing. So I just hope the Clock Tower has a middle section that comes forward a bit like the one in the film. I imagine the other side would have tough playability if the middle section is a deep niche, but looking at the film, it isnt deep, which is perfect! One more comment, i remember putting together the original 2004 set and i recall finding the moving stairs to be such a pleasant surprise! It probably wont happen this time but that's fine. Also, thank you TheRandomBlocker for sharing what you've seen and answering all our many questions! ?

As a Hufflepuff, I am so thrilled how we now have Third and First Task Cedric figs! We Hufflepuffs got so lucky with our House being portrayed in the books/films which resulted in Hufflepuff apparel! By this, I mean: Hufflepuff Quidditch robes in POA, Triwizard Task robes, long sleeves and tanks.

The carriage works as a Hogwarts carriage as well! :) It was the only reason why I was mildly interested in the set. Although, I do love vehicles that isn't another car or helicopter!

In your guys' opinion, has the past Hagrid's Huts been too tall to be proportional to Hogwarts? Also, with how much dedication they put in these sets...i really want to see of they attempted the two-room hut from the third movie and on!

In the movie, Dumbledore never mentions he sees himself holding a pair of socks. I recall in the last book, Harry learns/realizes all this time, Dumbledore was seeing his parents and siblings all healthy and happy. So technically is the LEGO sticker incorrect?

As I am building the Thunderbird while watching Deathly Hallows Part 2 (Gringotts Escape), I am thinking if TLG is planning a full fledged Gringotts, I hope it comes with a brick built Ukrainian Ironbelly!

The Diagon Alley is such a cute build! I can't wait to have it. ( It will be so fun to build on my cramped desk. I won't have to worry about space lol! ) I have to say, microscale builds remind me of paintings. Up close, one can see each paint brush or each 1 x 1 piece. But from afar or blurred vision, they look really great in how it all meshes together...and the set sometimes can seem bigger than it is!

I looked up to see if in the past if LEGO has ever released a set before and after a film release date. They did "before and after film releases" for PS/SS, COS and I won't count Deathly Hallows Part 1 because the sets released after this movie coincided with Part 2. So my guess is there will not be a winter wave release. Maybe summer. Also, I put Harry and Ron into their dormitory beds and I realized their legs are supposed to go with the 1x2 piece! So now they wont fall out! No more balancing act!

Just curious, what are your guys' opinion of the stickers in the UCS set? Not stickers in general or how many there are. I just find them to be pretty awfully done. The graphic designer who did them is a huge Harry Potter fan too. Her designs feel rushed and not thought out. It just seems like she drew everything using the square tool or the rounded square tool. For such a BEAUTIFUL front AND back...I wish they had partnered Justin with someone who could have done a better job.

The original proposal was to have a Chamber of Secrets under the Great Hall...but cut due to budget. LEGO can still create a Chamber of Secrets set and flatten the top so the Great Hall can sit on top (just as they did with the 2001-2002 sets!) PLUS, they could have a rock formation on the other side of the Chamber walls and it could represent the cliff Hogwarts castle stands on. (They did this with the 71043 set)

This would be excellent: Minifigures: Harry, Draco Cedric, Cho (the last two are already CMFs! They just need to make a Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw torso!) Hooch, Wood?, Flint? I am guessing it is a battle pack. We will get a trunk. A snitch. Quaffle. Beater bats. I am also thinking they need to include some sort of building for playability...but since we already have hoops and stands are too big for this set...maybe the white tents that sit outside of the field! I do not think they would have them as lockers but in COS, they had a small scene in the tent and Wood was in front of a chalkboard with the pitch drawn on it! It is a 'lesson' after all! Seeing a chalkboard with the pitch drawn on it would excite me as a kid! (Actually, it does right now. lol!) Like the OOTP Room of Requirement set with the targets, maybe there will be some sort of short hoop to shoot too. Minifigures, check! Building, check! Exciting shooting action, check!

No order for these, I just LOVE these the most: Dean - a person of color AND he's such a minor character so it is greatly appreciated! Cedric - I am a Hufflepuff. I missed his first release because the GOF sets did not have Hogwarts elements so I saw no point in getting them. Newt - His smirk, his hair color and his Niffler are ADORABLE. I put the Niffler on a 1x1 and placed him into the suitcase to sit. SO cute! Dobby - At first his sunken eyes did not seem pleasing, but I do not mind it now! Dumbledore - Not a big fan of Gambon in HP 4-8, but I love the new beard mold on the minifigure! Bonus mention: I LOVE Nagini's mold. He does not fit into the grid lock but that is fine because his pose is menacing! Honorable dislikes: All three hairs of the trio as 3rd years don't do it for me. I dislike all three, but not liking all three lessens the blow! To be fair, it could be that I find the hairstyles of their first/second year hairs are PERFECT. So, I could be unfairly comparing them. (For the first/second year hair, did LEGO create unique molds for all three of them? It feels like it.)

Congrats on getting all of them! Also, what store were you at that they had hundreds? The only place that I ever saw which had this many was LEGOLAND. Oh, if only I had a pass! Are you a big Harry Potter fan? I am and at first it hurt to open two duplicates (of the 11 I got) ...but I quickly was fine with it because I love HP so much! :)

Were you able to get the older Harry? I wondered if you could help me with my question (or anyone on this forum!) So the 1st year Harry minifigure hair is PERFECT. The way they sculpted his hair to part to show is scar is wonderful. My question is...with the hair mold on the older Harry (which I am not toooo fond of) does it show off his scar where his hair parts?

I hope you are right! For the Order of the Phoenix film release, the LEGO Harry Potter line went downhill with only one castle release. Then the rerelease in 2010/2011 saw only two castle sets. If Harry Potter LEGO could not sell enough to keep going at its peak popularity (when there were still books and films being released), then my faith this line will be evergreen is super slim. :( I hope I am proved to be very very wrong!

I think you are right! In the second film, it sits right outside the Great Hall. It is not there during the third film though. One more thing: too bad the diadem and locket don't come as actual pieces.

Isn't it crazy that its big size is only an illusion? I am having trouble imagining the size right in front of me. ( It helped with the dimensions from OrangeChiliPeP )

*sees new photos on Instagram* *runs to eurobricks to read comments on it* LOL The turrets and towers look great! Glad to see the founder minifigures. A new Gryffindor sword! The details replicating Hogwarts is well-done! This feels like proof that they do refer to the film building and they really are just limited on budgets that keep it from being as accurate as possible. I'm not one for the interior rooms nor microscale figures. *shudders* But I understand. I just won't have them out, haha! Funny seeing the Quidditch 2 x 2 icons of the Houses used like that. The other night, I put those on my Great Hall doors. ( Have fun with your haul, DungeonsAndFlagons! )
