So no Privet Drive, Burrow nor the Knight Bus?
-
Definitely. They cannot stray too far from the “look” because of the theme parks. Random question: Does anyone surmise TLG will NOT be making a clock tower for this iteration? I held out on getting the Grand Tower…I cannot commit until I hear word of my favorite building being included.
-
Signs are not pointing to it: but I would love if the Courtyard Plants turned out to be the fountain in the Clock Tower courtyard. Looking at the film though, the plants are hanging on the walls surrounding the yard and the fountain only has a patch of grass. Ah well!

Count me in as a customer waiting for more Hogwarts modular reveals before buying the Main Tower. I really am hoping for the announcement of a new Clock Tower.

THIS. I am so curious how the next builds will attach to the Great Hall. With TWO of the four clips for sure being used for the Tower and bridge: https://i.ibb.co/hVYTHGF/Screen-Shot-2024-12-30-at-3-33-58-PM.png I am CURIOUS if the other two clips will be used!

Yikes! Herbology 390 pcs vs Potions Class 397 pcs: Here's to hoping the greenhouses will be mostly GIANT window pane walls and roofs; which is accounting for high price and low piece count. Aunt Marge's Visit 639 pcs vs 4 Privet Drive 797 pcs is a head scratcher as well. UNLESS the extra 158 pieces make up the Ford Anglia so the Dursley's home would be more a less a remake of the 2020 set. Still, I am hoping for a greenhouse because it is so iconic for Aunt Marge to bounce through it. Main Tower at 2135 pcs vs Great Hall 1732 pcs sounds about right so that's a relief.

My thoughts: -YAY! STOKED for main tower! Apologies to the 2018 tower…I am hoping TLG does it justice this time! -i am hoping Aunt Marge’s visit includes the Dursleys’ glass window backroom! (Greenhouse?) -I should be excited for the Herbology Class, but why does part of my brain surmise it will NOT be a greenhouse and will only be a slide in ala January’s Charm Class. I am hoping to be pleasantly surprised! I want a substancial greenhouse after those two amazing Ideas sets with all the window panes!

From what I see: there are two unused clips on the shorter tower plus one unused clip on the first floor of the taller tower. Did my best measure out the height of the clips and they are on par with the Great Hall and Boathouse pegs: Can it connect to the larger Hogwarts? Yes! The clips are at the perfect height with Great Hall and Boathouse. The shorter tower of the Flying Lesson can clip to the back of the courtyard or Great Hall. Does the set technically go here? Nahh, the Flying Lessons set sits way north east of the Great Hall and TLG has yet to release the buildings inbetween.
-
I presume the Charms class will slide into our Great Hall? I am stoked to see the Flying Lessons set! I am itching for more Hogwarts exterior.

Out of curiosity: what are your guys' opinions about the microscale DA?
-
I am attempting to get the Borgin and Burkes GWP with the sets in my "Maybe" tier...and I cannot bite. Buying Hogwarts Grounds does not justify the GWP for me. Especially since this set seems more in line with the non-D2C Diagon Alley. Is anyone else also on the fence about buying sets for the GWP?

Thank you, to the both of you! Ooh, as a Hufflepuff, this new variant of Cedric is AWESOME!
-
Ooh! Any chance you could post a photo (is it allowed?). I am scrounging the internet for it but no one has posted it.

As a huge fan of POA and the original clock tower set from 2004, I am disappointed there will be no new "detailed" clock tower to be included in this system. I am craving how TLG would approach modern double doors and swinging pendulum.
-
I appreciate the box of the Mandrake set saying, “Mandragora”
-
Durmstrang Ship would benefit if were bigger, but I like this size because it will not overshadow the Great Hall. It would look decently proportional.
-
The Boathouse is sold out at all the targets near me. The more popular LEGO stores around me also are sold out on the boathouse. I hope this is telling that interest is high for the "detailed" reboot!

You unlocked a memory for me. For those who are old enough: do you guys recall this? https://web.archive.org/web/20010602030646/http://harrypotter.warnerbros.com:80/web/hogwarts/sorting_hat.jsp

Random thoughts: -Grey roofs with leaves match the Hogwarts Station from this year! -Silly worry: Will the Owlery look okay amongst the new Hogwarts Castle being the only building with snow on it? lol! -The Owlery looks to be a good size! (Tangent: The Great Hall from 2021 was too small for me. With the Owlery being this size, they have to make the new Great Hall hefty to be proportional. Hoping it will be a big size like 2018) -The roof of Hagrid's Hut in the movies doesn't really change THAT much from Movie 2 to 3. But LEGO an improvement on the roof of Hagrid's Hut from 2019. This looks MUCH better! -With both the Owlery and Boathouse having ROCKWORK. Crossing my fingers there will be a ton of rockwork for EVERY building of Hogwarts. The hard part for TLG is figuring out what to put behind all the rockwork. -Will the new Ford Anglia sit both Ron AND Harry? LOL -OOH. It'd be so neat of TLG could pull off an amazing looking Grand Staircase tower with studs on the inside to place all the collectible portraits we collect. -I have collected so many owls these past years that the Owlery is a great place for them to live! -I see a rat piece in the Owlery. Does anyone recall from the books if Peter Pettigrew ever had a scene in the Owlery? Just curious cause I love when TLG references the books.

Trimming down the space between the two T’s in Gringotts was nerve-wracking! I think I did okay *shrug* https://i.ibb.co/cTTgt7g/072-B98-BD-3032-4699-990-E-308-A89-A24-AEC.jpg Taking the build slowly to enjoy it as long as possible. Also, having it at this stage is giving me 2011 Gringotts vibes lol!
-
Do you guys think a UCS Knockturn Alley/Leaky Cauldron set would warrant enough sales for LEGO to greenlight it?
-
You guys: my Gringotts was delivered a day early! I am the worst though: I am only going to build the exterior for now. I do not have room for the vaults. Quick question: I recall in a review the underside of the base has these indents in the corner. Mine is free of them. Did anyone else’s come without those indents? Unfortunately, I cannot find the review which had the triangle indents.
-
My apologies to those who gave me tips on getting to the mall early! @RODDY saying all the Star Wars fans will be out too was what scared me into buying Gringotts online. LOL But just cause I am curious if tomorrow would have played out successfully with Gringotts: I will wake up and be at the mall early anyway. I will pick up a Hogwarts Castle and Grounds for a second Vault GWP.

LEGO.com just updated with a "Go Back to Hogwarts with us - starting 9/1" link at the top of the page. There is a countdown. For me on the west coast of the US, that would be Thursday, 9pm. I wonder if that is when pre-orders for Gringotts will go live!

Thank you for all your help you guys! I sincerely appreciate it. I will definitely ask the store how I should approach Friday.
