I don't think so. But I love that they have him wear his pjs because the Erised scene is very iconic.

This is probably a lame answer....but the amount of leaves that fall from the Whomping Willow in Azkaban, the falling flower stems for our lego set fits with the movie adaptation.

I am loving this Great Hall so much! It looks much better in person than in pictures. Anyway, if there is one thing I want to share: I LOVE the new design for books! Back in 2001/2004, I would NOT reopen a book once I folded and snapped it shut. I HATED how the binding turned white. I'm so glad LEGO created it into two pieces that would not weaken so easily!

Have you tried Target.com to see if your store has them in stock? The website stated my store had four even if though they weren't on the floor. Hope this helps! :(

I say no! There is something special about having such old sets. I love having each one because they are all different from each other. :) Tell me about it! Tomorrow will be AMAZING. Just curious, why not watch Harry Potter? lol!

Awesome, Balrogofmorgoth ! Thanks for sharing what the Target employee said! I was actually too shy to ask if they weren't on shelves but now I feel much braver.

Good luck! I'm also heading to Target right as it opens on Sunday. These are available for shipping on 6/30. I'm wondering if there is a better chance at getting these sets if we order online for in-store pick up?

I vote for both! Hehe. Will you be leaving both sets as is or varying one to look like a different building of Hogwarts?

Applause to LEGO for putting the time (and money!) into that! I was all happy for the robes but now I'm selfish and want the same variants for all the houses! (But really, no worries, Lego. I am so happy for what you have given us so far!) Really excited for these blind bags. For the first go around, I will be grabbing 15 of these at random and feeling them out at home. I will be too excited with all the sets that I cannot be idle in the store. I want to be home with all them! LOL

Thanks for sharing the interview. So the designers binged watched all the movies and then made a list of forty sets they could make and dwindled it down to twenty. I'm so anxious to know what was written down! LOL. I'm bummed to hear about the Chamber of Secrets not being under the Great Hall (nor having any chance of being a set at all). But technically the kitchens should be under the Great Hall. As a Hufflepuff this is exciting, and I am crossing my fingers at the unlikely hood they would make a kitchens set!

I hope next Sunday, I am able to snag one of each set at Target and if that does not work out, I'm heading to the Lego store. Anyone else hitting the stores on day 1?

They added knee pads to his pants!! If only they did that with the Quidditch set. I guess it's understandable because he has short legs...plus it would look weird to have them on the other players with tall legs and not him.

I've always loved how part of the banner decorations were stripped from the Quidditch Field in POA. It definitely created a much spookier pitch. I wondered if this piece from the Hogwarts Express set: added to the new Quidditch set could be used to achieve a condensed version of this:

Because of the amount of attention to the archiecture detailing they gave to the Great Hall (I do not know what it is called but how outside the GH, they replicated the extra awning), and giving us all House Quidditch stands plus a whole section for the hoops. All of this is giving me a feeling they might try to achieve a two house hut because they seem to really be pushing for "make as archiectually accurate to the movies as possible". The revivial this time has gotten me so excited!

I bought the 2004 Clock Tower when POA came out and I fudging love that thing. I would love to see another take on it in the style how TLG made the Great Hall.

We can all agree that the prominent exterior buildings being: Great Hall, Grand Staircase, Clock Tower, Astronomy Tower (and a few others) The set of Hogwarts from 2010 is a great set. I realize now that I enjoy what the Whomping Willow set is doing that the 2010 never did: they are giving attention to the smaller buildings. The "fill-in" or "in-between" towers and buildings I think are the best words to call it. Take this picture for instance: https://i.pinimg.com/originals/8d/a1/54/8da15419c888a872cff0ace5618a5279.jpg Nestled between the clock tower and the grand staircase tower, there is a shorter building. If they continue to make in-between towers, our Hogwarts lego set will feel very complete. (and so far with the two sets, it has a very strong silhouette)

This is a great idea! Thanks, MAB! :) I can't wait to hear HP exclusives for spending a certain amount now! I keep looking at the entrance at the trunk of the Whomping Willow. I wonder if TLG has any plans to make a tunnel or connect to the Shrieking Shack somehow. Hmm, but if I were TLG and a designer, I would deem that too complex/messy so I'm thinking they won't.

Thanks for posting that video! The car driving through the archway is so cool! They really did push to reinvent scenes from the movie. I think the Whomping Willow just needs those "long finger" type branches and it would've been passable! Hogwarts - 99.99 Whomping Willow/Ford Anglia/Hogwarts 79.99 Hogwarts Express - 79.99 Quidditch - 39.99 Grindelwald Escape - 19.99 Harry/Hedwig Brickhead - 14.99 Hermione Brickhead - 9.99 Question: Is anyone going to be buying all of these in one go? I'm wondering if I should space my purchases out during different visits to enjoy them for a longer time.

I think the Gryffindor stand will be able to swing forward in the front for the players to fly in. I'm guessing the back will be open.
