  1. Oh, I hope I am wrong. With sets such as MOM being shrunken and -summarized- into a set, I wouldn’t be surprised if TLG accepted only one tower of Malfoy Manor for the set to keep it on budget. But Clone OPatra is right. There are only 6 name tags and that building doesn’t have one
  2. Could the tower next to WWW be Malfoy Manor? https://harryalbuspotter.fandom.com/wiki/Malfoy_Manor
  3. We would never get this, but: I would love an open world where TLG uses the actual Hogwarts sets from 2018-2020 for game play. Even if it would be barebones and open in the back, I would still adore being able to walk through it all. There are some days where I wish I could shrink for a little and explore my LEGO sets.
  4. Oh! So there's only two then: Quidditch and Gringotts? Perfect! This local chain store Target in the states always have polybags a few months after the initial release so I'm not worried about that one. So I just have to prepare myself for the Gringotts GWP but it sounds like the big Gringotts D2C will cover it. Thank you guys so much! I didn't want to be screwed like last year where I had trouble getting one Moving Staircase GWP. :)
  5. With all the incoming HP GWP sets, do you guys suggest I hold off on buying the Room of Requirement and Second Task sets on Wednesday?
  6. All you guys got me hyped up for 76419 now! The stonehenge: YAS A new Hogwarts system? Yes please! Bell Towers? YES!!! Bell Towers using the 2021 Hogwarts modular? Nooo :(
  7. If it is another Great Hall set, maybe it will be a DHII version where part of it is destroyed.
  8. This! A $1,000 would be extremely difficult for me to justify. Hopefully it never gets to this point!
  9. I am rewatching the scene where the Ukranian Ironbelly smashed through the roof of Gringotts and realize: Gringotts is HUGE. I stupidly never really paid attention the glass dome it smashes out of that it is NOT the same dome it sits on at Universal Orlando. SO, I want both domes please, TLG!
  10. Gringotts - WOW we are finally getting it and WOW at that price! I know $430 is steep...but I relieved they did not make it a $129 set. It might have been pretty bad. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE include the entrance to DA though. Knight Bus - As a huge fan of POA: I cannot wait to see this one. I will probably hold off on it and get it down the line. Quidditch Trunk - Buildable Quidditch balls and trunk would make this set for me. Love Quidditch so much when the movies came out because John Williams' score is my life. Battle of Hogwarts - I would be more excited for this set if we were still in the old style of Hogwarts. Expecto Patronum - What if we got both a buildable Dementor AND Patronus? Dobby - I would never have bought Groot nor Yoda nor the Child because they are downright creepy. BUT like a few others here: I am getting it because we all joked about Dobby's sock for years. I will be getting it for the laughs and memories.
  11. Count me in as one of the few who would be excited for yet another reiteration of the Knight Bus. (Although the recent one is already such a good version of the bus)
  12. Is anyone else getting three Second Task sets to make three stands? 🥰
  13. Nah, there is definitely a group like you within AFOL who want LEGO studs on the surface as texture! Can I ask: If a train set were to be a display piece, does making it track compatible AND motored count as a display piece? If the new Hogwarts Express was motorized and I put it on my TV stand with tracks that go around my tv, do you guys consider that a display piece still?
  14. Correct me if I'm wrong: but the only Borgin and Burkes set was the one from 2002 and 2010 right? Is the digital render in the shop a forecast to what we can expect? Or does it just look like they took Ollivanders, changed a few bricks and put Borgin and Burkes on the front?
  15. Imagine if TLG uses the preliminary artwork for Orlando's Diagon Alley as reference. That's a BIG Gringotts!:
  16. I tried the Downtown Disney Lego store here in California…no luck. They said they have not received shipments.
  17. The instructions for the polybag can be found here: https://www.lego.com/en-us/service/buildinginstructions/30435 but my question is: where are the instructions for the alternate builds?
  18. At first I wanted only one but reading how you are getting multiples has convinced me to get at least two! I too was wondering if they connect to the 2021-2022 sets. If you stack the Gryffindor Common Room on top of another set..it could be attached to the back of the new GWP. So the portrait of the Fat Lady would lead into their rooms. There should be a connection in the back. It probably is not advertised cause the back is probably super plain.
  19. I read a review for it and it stated the Shrieking Shack is 25 cm tall which is a few cm taller than The Three Broomsticks! Relieved it is taller because in the film it looked gigantic compared to The Three Broomsticks.
  20. WHOA. I just got even more excited for the polybag!
  21. Did you mean to say not include it? I feel guilty for grabbing two since the set is all sold out for months now. Seeing TLG put together the sets nicely like that, I really wish more sets had rockwork!
  22. I never learn my lesson: I always buy the latest HP releases day ONE rather than wait a few weeks for double points day. Just pre-ordered the Shrieking Shack and Whomping Willow and I am excited!
  23. Were the sets available for pre-order on May 2? I can't recall if I read that somewhere or if it was made up in my head. Edit: Nevermind! I see LEGO.com has updated that pre-orders will be available May 3.
  24. Your theory of TLG scrambling to create sets with Potter's popularity and being evergreen now reminds me of Pokemon when Johto was supposed to be the last season but it was so popular so they had Ash lose the tournament again. Oof! The red bridge from PS is so nice but the structure in OOTP fits better because it matches Hogwarts. If I could guess - I'd say they will choose OOTP only because someone here guessed WB wants the sets to look like the parks as much as possible. If I recall from being in Orlando last year, I believe the station there is modeled after OOTP.
  25. If this year's Whomping Willow can't hold the Ford Anglia, then it'll follow the film's WW design change where POA's WW doesn't seem like it could hold and smash a car. haha
