Ai, that looks like a (pardon my words) Playmobil train. At least it is good for my wallet because I can skip this passenger train without any problems. The train station and cargo train still look promising. Hopefully some better picture will pop up soon.

Great modular. You don't see that many inside corner buildings. It looks nice. And you did a great job on the interior. Everything is perfectly fitting the theme, like e.g. those sliding doors.

What a beautiful French building. The attention to detail is amazing. I love the front door to the apartments, the use of the frog as a door handle, the detailing above the windows. There are too many things...

Man with a hat replied to Dirk1313's topic in LEGO Train Tech
What a fantastic creation. Both the station and the railbus are absolutely perfect. The colour for the roof of the station is well picked. I also like the remaining snow on it. -
Wow. You make me envy you. So much space for your track.

3 meters long Octan train with 7777 oil refinery
Man with a hat replied to AlmightyArjen's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Nice octan version. I like the tankers as well. I remember I could look at that 7777 book for hours, never having enough pieces to build this. -
Nice to have some confirmation on the trains. I only hope the white high speed train doesn't come with that ugly nose piece of 7897. Then it can be very interesting. I really like the current passenger train so it must be good for me to get interested. I wonder whether the blue cargo train will have a engine similar to 7939 or 3677. I hope it will be something like 3677 that would be perfect and I wouldn't even mind a smaller shunter like 7760 in the old days.

Nice. Very recognizable trains and also very 1980s style. Now I only miss the 12V track. I see that you needed to cheat with the hinges of the pantographs in the down position. But that's a problem of the current hinges and I also don't have a suggestion to do it any other way.

Trains, Long and Short: Show 'm here!
Man with a hat replied to LegoSjaak's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Hello all, Finally I had some time to set up some track for my trains. Here is the not so long (but still longer than the official version) 7938 passenger train. I like it in this size. My Emerald Night with 5 passenger carriages: And my newest addition, the Horizon express: It has 8 passenger carriages. Three first class, one dining car, and four second class wagons of which only two have a toilet. And my longest train, the Maersk train: And it is difficult to get a decent picture... First I had only two train motors in one engine, but there was a bit too much slippage so now I use four train motors in the two engines. Works perfectly. -
Nice. This would be a perfect CITY set. If they would only make more CITY buildings. And the elevator is a nice play feature.
-
Well done. This is a great laundry shop. The interior is really nice. You managed to squeeze in a lot of details. And I love the balcony. Good idea to put it in the front.

Thank you all for the nice comments. Thank you, and yes I found the upper rooms a bit dull myself. It could use some colour. Thank you too. I thought the new owner just moved in, hence not every room is fully decorated yet. I was a bit out of inspiration Thanks as well, also for the suggestions. Colour would be the key to livening up the interior. And some different flowers may work as well. Although I also see a lot of same colour flower baskets around. I may need to try to see what works.

Hello all, I finally finished (or at least I say it is finished now ) my new modular building. It has taken me some time and I started with the idea more than two years ago but here it is: As you can (hopefully) see it is a shop on the ground floor with on the right the entrance to the apartment above. I am happy with how the front turned out. It has some overhang but that is characteristic of most old buildings. The backside of the building is less interesting, although I am quite pleased with the drain pipes: It is modular so all the floors can be separated, although some parts are a little fragile I have to admit. I have put in some interior as well. Here is the inside of the shop: The apartment basically has two floors. One with a combined living room and kitchen and a small "library". It is a very basic kitchen. And what is that cat looking for? The other floor has the main bedroom, a bath room and a so far not decorated small room. The attic has only some storage boxes, so it is not that interesting. So, that's it. I hope you like it. More pictures can be found here. And please feel free too comment.

Wow, wow, wow. Again amazing, All those details up to the big computer screens, roof vetialtion and showers for the employees. I guess you needed to do something with all those 2CVs.

Question regarding Power Functions Motors
Man with a hat replied to Paperballpark's topic in LEGO Train Tech
You may also want to check http://www.philohome.com/motors/motorcomp.htm for a comparison of all the motors. It gives a nice overview. -
Very nice. Amazing you managed to put PF in such a small model. Well done. It looks like it is running smooth a well. I always thought those small train wheels were having a lot of friction.
-
Wow, that's really nice. Amazing how you managed to capture all the looks and features of the real thing. And good work on the detailing. I like the tires.

[MOC] Train Station - The start of a new layout
Man with a hat replied to UrbanErwin's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Nice. It really looks like a small commuter train station. But at this one at least has a ticket office. -
Excellent review again. Thank you. I am starting to like it more and more now especially after the comparison with the previous camper.
-
Wow, that's nice. Very impressive, especially for a 6-wide model. And I like the fact that the carriages a very close together. And I guess as long as you stay on those large radius curves it won't be a problem.

Future Train sets discussion/speculation
Man with a hat replied to peterab's topic in LEGO Train Tech
I really like the Mallard, also the colour is nice for a LEGO model. The shape makes it difficult though. I think I have seen one nice MOC here that actually captured the shape pretty well. The BR44 is also nice, a very stereotypical steam engine. But I doubt a regular LEGO model will be made in a 2-10-0 configuration. I think it would be a challenge for an afol as well. Sorry for being a bit pessimistic. I really would like to see both made into LEGO sets. What I am actually missing now is a modern electric cargo train.
