Thanks, ACCURATEin! The gun rack was one of the elements I wanted to include at all events. Thanks, spade450! No, there is nobody out to get him - he only collects all his guns from his father, his grandfather and himself. Thanks, Razzer! I thought that it would be something different than always only city houses. According to my "best" MOC: You've supposably not seen this one, have you? Thanks, BlueBard! Like the gun rack the weapons wall was one of the elements I really wanted to include, too, since it's the house where the forester lives. Thanks, Section8! The blue-white emblem above the door is not one piece - it consists of 2 1x1 white thin, 2 1x1 blue thin and that newer thin piece to hold them. About the safe and cabinet: The forester is very friendly - he likes to share with other people. All jokes apart: I simply had no other element for the safe - and the cabinet should be transparent on purpose since I liked it looking like that - even when it is unrealistic. Klaus-Dieter

That's getting a great Town layout, Dr. Brick! I really it! I really like how you build it up with three levels - great idea of which I personally never would have thought! And I see some awesome sets being set up on your display, too, Town Plan, Vestas Wind Power Plant, the ancient Engine Shed and the "old" ambulance! I even like the halfpipe - definitely an alternative for teens to computer, video games and TV! - It's really a shame that TLG doesn't release sets like this one today, too! Do you still own some other sets which you haven't already included in your layout or are these all your City sets? Will you fill the spare place with Lego plates or with (colored) carton and grit (like many people do at non-Lego train layouts)? I can't wait to see your final layout! Great work! Klaus-Dieter

Hello everybody! About one year ago I built following MOC I decided to present you now: Forester's House In a calm forest there stands the forester's house, beset with trees, a little hill and a river with a bridge over it. You're the forester. You go into the little garden, clean with a brush the path and pick apples and cherries from the fruit trees. After that you take your chain saw and walk over the bridge into the forest to make some wood for the stack. Don't forget to collected all you pumpkins! After work you enter through the door with the deer antler and the Bavarian emblem above ( ) into the big parlor with the big stack and have something to eat and drink at the big table. Whereas you look through the window on the river and the trees it's slowly getting dark outside. So you go upstairs in the bedroom and sleep. But be careful that you don't snore too loudly - otherwise your wife will take one of the guns out of the gun rack and shoot you. The forester's house from the outside: The little hill: The little garden: The first floor: The second floor: The wall with the weapons on it: The gun rack - closed and open: More pics can be found in this folder of my BS gallery (when public). Comments are welcome! Klaus-Dieter

It doesn't much matter which other minifigs, which vehicles and additional stuff there'd be included in this BP but I want so much a BP which includes a DS Trooper! Apart from that I already mentioned nearly everything I want - apart from following: Desert Skiff (similar to the classic one from around 2000, but bigger) as addition to Jabba's Sail Barge or as stand alone or as opportunity to get these minifigs minifigs: a new guard of Jabba and a Gamourrean Guard Klaus-Dieter

These are all great MOCs, BlueBard! I really them! The most I like the interior of the bar and second floor with the bandit's office - very detailed and realistic! Very well done! Klaus-Dieter

Having taken another closer look at the cockpit I'd even say that this white "thing" is not a chair but only the bottom of the two big round pieces put together for the sides and the ground of the cockpit. That would even sense: I own the last minifig-scaled MF and in it there are the same parts used for the cockpit - and the cokpit did not have any real chairs. The sides of the cockpit are very little so that imo not more than two minifigs can sit in it - but imo that would be ok since there will be anyway surely not more than two Rebels included in this set. Which really distrubs me is that we will - apart from the cockpit and a very small 6 stuck wide floor - very supposably see no other room! Klaus-Dieter

That's a great MOC, BlueBard! I really it! It looks very realistic and very well built! I especially like these details like the Coca Cola sign on top and the nice interior. Very well done! Klaus-Dieter

It's good that I had a look on EB yesterday and saved the pic of the RBR! An additional comment to the Rebel Blockade Runner: It's nearly excluded that we'll get more than two locations (the cockpit and the floor) since the back part is filled with the engines and the escape pod, the part between the cockpit and the midsection if too small. So only the middle part of the midsection (4-6 stucks wide) stays since the outer parts of the midsection are much too small (only about 2-4 stucks tall). So no chance for a little room with engines and a little room where Vader is torturing Raymus Antilles. So the chance is very low that I'll buy it - if not TLG hides some extraordinary surprises in it. An additional comment to the Hoth BPs: The right BP: Now I can clearly detect two Snowtroopers and a Hoth Rebel Trooper with a big gun in the back. But what's very right surely can not be said before we get clearer pics - but it's surely no Wampa or Tauntaun since this would increase the price of the BP immensly (if it shall be in about the same price range like the January BPs of the last years). The left BP: I totally agree that the Rebel Pilot is placed outside the tank surely only because he can be better seen in this way. But who can say that this is an "universal" Rebel Pilot (meaning not aa special character - so you can use it in several tanks without then having some characters (like e. g. Luke) appearing several times) and not a main character such as Luke or Dack? I personally would much more prefer to have no special character or main character included. And do I see wrong or are there really five minifigs in total included in this set - the Rebel Pilot in the front, two Rebels on top of the tank and two other Rebels in the right upper corner of the box? In contrast to the RBR I will surely buy these Hoth BPs if they are from the OT since they seem to look awesome with those great vehicles and minifigs. Klaus-Dieter

Thank you very much for that news, JanSued and for the pics, L-Space! Great that - after a that long time to wait - we finally get a pic of it! Like the most of you I, too, don't know what I shall think about the RBR - but can already from the first pic say that I'm really disappointed: -it looks very similar to the RC -it looks very small in comparison to e. g. the minifig-scaled ISD -it seems as if TLG let out the lower array of engines -it is much too small that we can await a decent interior (e. g. the area between the cockpit and the midsection is partly only two stucks wide) I must say that I'm - judging from this pic - really disappointed since I thought that TLG wants to offer a even bigger than the minifig scaled ISD big vehicle whcich contains even a decent interior. But the outcome seems more to be like the RC - a more or less mid-scaled UCS modell with some minifigs. One thing is clear: If there is no decent interior included (which is more or less excluded when you look at how thin it is (apart from in the midsection and in the cockpit) I surely won't buy it since I surely won't pay 150-250 Euros for a mid-scaled UCS modell with some minifigs (I really don't like vehicles without interior!). 2010 Lego Product List
Klaus-Dieter replied to Commander Assassin's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I remember that last year we got the product list with the most of this year's sets firstly in about the middle of August. But rumours of the second half of the most of the time even appear earlier. Only have a look in this topic and in the City/Star Wars/Castle/... sets topic - there you can surely find information shortly after it is published. And btw: Please don't open a new topic when there is nearly the same already there. Klaus-Dieter -
That's a great idea, BatonMedved! But I don't think that TLG will release this in the Farm line. There would have to be a complete new line such as Forest. It would be awesome to have a forest harvester, a wood transporter, a forester's house, a dark gree offroad vehicle and some additional little Forest sets! :oh: But for 2010 I personally don't see it happen since it's clear that one of the three big lines will be Trains. And I bet that one of the two others will be either Beach or Winter - or perhaps even both. Plus hopefully some more City buildings such as a bank, a grocer's shop, a post office and a family house. Although you did a really good job I'm sorry but I have to say that the bison looks to me too much brick-built. But I really like the scenery and the Indian, SirNadroj! Klaus-Dieter

Your Roman legionnaires look of course much better than mine, Admiral M! I really them - you really designed them very realistic! Klaus-Dieter

Thank you very much for that news, simonjedi! Some additional Hoth BPs would be totally awesome - especially if they included some sort of commander on each side, too (but which I regrettably highly doubt) and some more vehicles! Nevertheless I'm not totally sure that these are BPs from episode 5 since we already have a Hoth BP this year with a big gun, a turrent and Snowtroopers and Hoth Rebel Troopers. From what I see I must say that it's very hard to judge what the BPs include: -left BP: Rebel Pilot (imo very supposably Luke since we didn't get one single set with Luke this year), three Hoth Rebel Troopers (which look to me as if they wear dark clothes) and a big open tank or something similar to the Rebel Scout Speeder but with two guns on top -right BP: a big gun in the background with a trooper (looks to me more like a Hoth Rebel Trooper than a Snowtrooper), a Snowtrooper in the middle and maybe a speederbike in the front, otherwise it's to blurry to be aible to detect anything Btw: Since that tank in the left BP looks to me much bigger than e. g. the one in the Rebel Scout Speeder BP and since there is even a forth different minifig included (the Rebel Pilot - imo Luke): Do you think that these two BPs then will be more expensive than this year's? Klaus-Dieter

Congratulations New Ambassadors!

Congratulations to you all - and mainly to Copmike! Klaus-Dieter -
Yes, they can, Raphy. You can easily take the magnet away from the minifig without disturbing one of both. I even bought the Stormtrooper Magnet Set only because I wanted the minifigs - the magnets don't interest me. I partly agree with you, Roncanator. A new Hoth BP next year is absolutely excluded since we already get the Echo Base this year which is a Hoth BP. If TLG wants to release two new OT BPs in January two Endor BPs are highly likely. Perhaps one with two Stormtroopers, a Scouttrooper, a DS Trooper and a speeder bike and one with two Ewoks, two Endor Rebel Troopers and a tree - that would be awesome! But perhaps TLG releases again some CW BPs or perhaps even no BP in the size of last year's January BPs. But did you even think of some sort of "on a main character based Super BP" like this year's Echo Base but for Endor?! It might include Endor Luke, an Ewok, a Scout Trooper, a Storm Trooper, an Endor Rebel Trooper, a speederbike and a tree. What do you think? Klaus-Dieter

Thanks for that hint, Darth Legolas! But that this "rumour" appears on several Lego fan sites does imo not make it a rumour but a set wish. I personally can't imagine that TLG is going to release one or two Endor BPS next years because 1. TLG surely would think that a lot of people would then buy these and let out the awesome The Battle of Endor set (imo a false conclusion since the Endor BPs would help to improve the Endor battle scene and not be an alternative to it) 2. Next year is the celebration of ESB. And since we unluckily have to wait a big line of CW sets and all that stuff which comes along with it there surely will not be more OT sets than this year. And I bet that all these OT sets next year then will be from ESB. But of course I might be wrong. TLG has been surprising us in the last year with that awesome and never expected sets that nearly everything is possible. I personally would very much like to see some Endor BPs in order to get more DS Troopers, more Scout Troopers with speeder bikes, some Strom Troopers, some more Ewoks, more Endor Rebel Troopers and of course some trees to create - in addition to this year's awesome Endor set - a huge battle! Klaus-Dieter

What New Themes or Sets would you like TLG to make?
Klaus-Dieter replied to CopMike's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I totally agree with you, Captain Green Hair! An old train station (similar to the yellow one from 1990?) and a roundhouse would be absolutely awesome! :oh: And in general more additional train stuff is needed - there have to be locations where the passengers are attended and locations where the trains are loaded and maintained! To avoid double-posting: Here are a lot of awesome ideas for new Wild West sets! Thanks. Klaus-Dieter -
That's a great and very interesting topic, MrTools! When I went to the Lego Store in Hamburg last summer I bought some special minifigs parts (pants, tops, heads, head gears and accessory) which did partly only exist in licensed sets (e. g. a Harry Potter top) or promo/exclusive sets (e. g. light blue kids pants) or in sets which were released many years ago (e. g. a trumpet). Klaus-Dieter

Well, let's hope so! Do you still know where you read that? That would be interesting to know. What do you think when a new Western theme can be seen? I totally agree with you, Yloquen! I already thought about a similarity to the new Pirates theme, too. So let's then only hope that we'll nevertheless get a decent interior in the buildings, buildings with two floors and not too less minifigs! Klaus-Dieter
-
Really?! But I don't think that the main audience of possible Roman sets (supposably kids between 5 and maximum 10 years old) would know that! The question is even: Wouldn't it disturb the fantasy and play experience of kids if you already before they start playing tell them how they have to play and how the battle has to end? Perhaps I better should have chosen a neutral name - but a name of a historical battle sounds never bad (especially when you're studying history)! Klaus-Dieter
-
Come on! Well, you're right - but it's only LDD. Well, this is not a bad try - it's of course better than my LDD MOC - but nevertheless really not perfect: -the face/head and the torso aren't printed -the spire of the lance is much too thick -the helmet looks more like a chrome-silvern egg cosy with open front than a legionnaire's helmet Which I really like are the red plumes. Otherwise I hope that if TLG hopefully releases a Roman theme one day they'll offer much better weaponry, helmets and printed torsos to us! Klaus-Dieter
-
Well, not really a new element but an element in other colors I really would like to see: -bicycle in grey -bicycle in (dark) blue and please bring back the black bicycles! The red bicycles are really not nasty - but totally unrealistic since I nearly never see someone with a red bicycle driving around! Klaus-Dieter
-
Ok, ok! Well let's see - perhaps in my semester holidays. Klaus-Dieter

I bet that in January there'll be again an exclusive set for 100-150 Euros. What do you think it'll be? I don't think that it'll be a City set since 10199 will firstly be released in the end of October - so another exclusive City set only two months after this sounds to me very unrealistic. But perhaps we'll see another Castle Exclusive - perhaps a big castle in more classic style? Btw: I'm really disappointed that we have not been getting any hint on which SW OT and City sets we have to await in the first half of next year - and legomilk told us more than three weeks ago that there'll be information on new sets soon! Klaus-Dieter
