  1. No, I will no buy this (as I will even not buy any other CC styled building), DJ Force! I only mentioned that if I had the money to buy it (but I have not the money to buy it) and if I had the place to store it somewhere (but I have not the place to store it somewhere) I would buy it. In general I've never said that I don't like these CC styled buildings - in contrary they are all looking awesome designed! But since I'm an avid City fan the open backwalls and the lack of interior in MS and CC really disturbs me! And since I seperate official sets and MOCs very strictly and never put them togehter there is no chance for MODing the CC styled buildings. Klaus-Dieter
  2. Like it was stated earlier the price of the fans' choice set will be similar to the one of this year's Star Wars Fan's Choice set (namely the Home One Mon Calamari Cruiser) - so 120 Euros or let's say: somewhere between 100 and 150 Euros/Dollars. So it will not include any motor or PF functions but "only" the elevated train itself, the elevated tracks and some minifigs. According to the pics of the ToysRUS poll I think that it will even include a road plate, a little snack bar and a taxi. I believe BatonMedved since last year's news about the construction sets were right, too. So why should he now give us some wrong information?! But his source might be wrong since I'm not sure about the repeat of Aquaraiders, too. If TLG released a theme like this one (even if it was in a more classic style like the one from the beginning of the 90ths) it would be horrible! But since there is since a while that Sea Life Atlantis with Lego subs and divers somewhere TLG perhaps thinks that kids now have seen this exhibition and consequently would like again an Aquariders theme - imo a totally wrong conclusion! Klaus-Dieter
  3. Thanks, legotrainfan! Yes, the illegal gambling room - I had no idea what to add to the second floor of the bar. So I came to the idea with the illegal gambling room. Klaus-Dieter
  4. I totally agree with you, Brick Miner! the fire brigade is definately two tall in comparison to the other CC styled buildings. There is no neccessarity to make it that tall since there are only two floors included and that decoration with the golden helmets and the crossed axes really looks . (Btw: Welcome back to EB, Brick Miner! I hope to see you active in more topics, too! ) And here is more criticism: - The car is imo much too small - especially in comparison to the large building. - The interior of the upper floor is a great idea - but it looks imo too MOCish and unofficial. Nevertheless I must say that it is a set - and if I had the money to buy and the place to store it (which both I have not) I'd surely buy it. Klaus-Dieter
  5. That's a billiant MOC, AaronLego! I really it! It looks absolutely realistic! The most I like those interior and exterior detials you added to it - especially the swimming pool area - very lovely! If only TLG offered (of course not in this size but in a size similar to the cargo ship from 2007) a pleasure cruiser - that would be absoluetly awesome! :oh: Very well done! And btw: Welcome to EB, AaronLego! Klaus-Dieter
  6. In order to do not have to post everything twice here are a lot of awesome ideas and wishes for new City sets ! Thanks for reading. Klaus-Dieter
  7. That's a great idea, Justin! This theme was and I think that if TLG released a new theme similar to this one (but not with ugly fantasy stuff like the last Aqua ... themes) it would be brilliant! More maritime stuff in general - especially an oil rig, an oil tanker and a pleasure cruiser - would be awesome! Thanks, BlueBard! You're welcome to participate and present ideas, too! I'd like to see more buildings which have a typical architecture for every continent (mainly as exclusive sets but even as regular sets - but not in CC style!!!) - e. g. - a Chinese restaurant with that special Asian roof and that special windows (like seen in the Ninja theme) - an ancient Japanese garden with a tea house with that special Asian roof and that special windows, a lot of flowers, a little river with little brige and a little water fall - an ancient Arabian hotel with that special Arabian cupola, many little windows, a wall with pinnacles, many golden adornments, some palms and a swimming pool - an ancient American bank and/or city hall with that special Amerian cupola and many columns - an ancient European bakery with that special half-timbered work ... Klaus-Dieter
  8. Of course next year's sets are already designed. Nevertheless I've got a wish for a set which mainly would belong to ESB but could nevertheless be released even after 2011: TIE Fighter And TIE Bomber 70-80 Euros a TIE Fighter and a TIE Bomber (both in the new style like this year's Darth Vader's TIE Advanced) including four bombs, some rockets, a maintenance vehicle, a cargo box and some tools minifigs: two TIE Fighter Pilots and an Imperial Engineer (= Imperial Officer with light grey torso and black cap) Since the TIE Bomber is (at least in the ESB) always escorted by the TIE Fighter this combination would imo make much sense. Klaus-Dieter
  9. Perhaps I should have better used the word minifigure collection - that's right, Scop. Of course I didn't mean a pack of medieval civilians which fight but a pack of "peaceful" medieval civilians (e. g. a damsel of the castle, a lord of the castle, their son, their daughter and one servant and some accessory). Klaus-Dieter
  10. Wasn't the unveiling of the DS last year announced some days before Brickworld? So perhaps the Tantive 4 won't be shown there. But I really hope that it'll be shown there since we already got pics of 10197, too. Btw: I read quickly through the program of Brickworld: If TLG unveils the RBR there then very supposably either on Saturday 10-14 pm - or even more supposably on Sunday 10-13 pm. So about six days until we'll have pics - if TLG unveils it there. Klaus-Dieter
  11. Thank you very much for these pics and the information, Alldarker! Apart from that this fire brigade looks imo a bit to American styled (mainly with the flag) it looks really awesome!!! I mainly like that lovely woman with the tan shoulder bag! But since I don't collect CC styled buildings I won't buy it. Hopefully TLG will release more such awesome looking and detailed buildings for the City theme (like the brilliant 10184 Town Plan  with open backwalls for the buildings but otherwise looking similar to CC styled buildings), too! Klaus-Dieter
  12. Thank you very much for that information, legomilk! I think that when legomilk says that pics "will come very quickly" this doesn't mean that we'll have to wait until the middle of August since this would really not be quickly or soon. When I remember right then we saw pics of the first half of the 2008 sets already in July 2007 and only last year they appeared that late (please correct me if I'm wrong). So I suppose that we'll see pics - or at least get a list of some sets of the first half of 2010 - already in the beginning or the middle of July. I totally agree with you, Emperor claduis rome! But: 1. I firstly want to get a new Western theme - firstly after that a Roman theme. 2. We now already know that the two new themes for 2010 will be Ben10 and some sort of Aquazone theme - so there is no room for any other more theme. Klaus-Dieter
  13. That's a great and very interesting topic, def! I voted for I'm not interested in any more fantasy stuff since I really do not like the current "Castle" theme. I really would like to see TLG releasing more classic styled Castle sets without fantasy creatures and fantasy stuff or even better make a break with the "Castle" theme for some years and release some Western sets . Klaus-Dieter
  14. Thank you very much for the pic, The Cobra! Well, it doesn't look bad - and for those fantasy fans it's surely a good opportunity to get many dwarves. But I don't care about it. It would be awesome to have a BP like this with some medieval civilians! Klaus-Dieter
  15. We already had them in the Castle sets topic, rutmar, and they are only MOCs - so only fakes and no real sets. Nevertheless I think that an Elves theme is very supposably. Klaus-Dieter
  16. Thank you very much for this great review, TheBrickster! I voted for Average Cons: - only three trees - no single minifig included Pros: - very realistic looking - something not very common - simply good to have extra wagons I personally are a big fan of seperate engines and wagons (especially with freight trains) since in this way 1. you can enlarge your train collection and make as big trains as you want to 2. you can buy these trains and wagons you want to have and put your train together how you like it and don't need to pay possibly much money for contents of train sets you even don't like or don't necessarily must have to. Klaus-Dieter
  17. Great find, CastleLord! Of course these sets need to be some improvement (the war vehicles partly look a bit unrealistic, there is no emperor and even no other civilian minifigs and nearly no civilian building). But nevertheless the most of these sets are even ideas for sets I hope TLG will offer to us in the next years! Klaus-Dieter
  18. I partly agree with you, BatonMedved! I don't think that we'll see a zoo theme since this would mean many animals which seem to be very, very expensive. There aren't more than one or two new molds necessary since there are already molds for ice bear, crocodile, wolf, many different kinds of sea animals and different small animals. But a southern or eastern predator - like a tiger or a lion - is really needed for a zoo. And in order to have a set which looks appealing and offers enough playability more than only one sort of animal is for the main big set needed. I even don't think that we'll get a tram since this would mean that we'd need road baseplates which are about 4/3 that big than the ones available now since there would be space needed between the lanes for the tram tracks. And I even don't think that we'll get another set with a bus since TLG firstly wants to sell enough of this year's awesome 7641 City Life sets. But I agree with you that a beach theme is very supposably. It could - like you already mentioned - even include some CG stuff in order to offer more playability and action and additions for the CG set. A seperate CG set (like the ones of last year) can imo be not awaited. But a CG watch platform like in the Beach Cafe set of the Paradisa theme is imo very supposable. And I even agree with you that we very supposably will get an elevated train (but not monorail) as the fans' choice set in summer. It will very supposably look very similar to the classic Airport Shuttle but only on one level can't drive up and down but only on one level) and regrettably surely with many less minifigs but supposably one car (supposably a taxi) being included. So the third City subtheme will be trains - and one of the two others will imo very supposably be a beach theme. But what about the left theme? I really hope for more extensions to the brilliant 7641 City Life - like e. g. mainly post office, bank, armored car, grocery and delivery car - but I doubt this since legomilk told us that there'll be two "new" themes. So perhaps a winter theme? Klaus-Dieter
  19. I pre-ordered the book yesterday - so I hope it than will arrive at the beginning of October. I actually only buy it for the exclusive Luke minifig since I wouldn't have bought it when it wouldn't have included this special minifig. Well, perhaps a bit much money for only one minifig - but when I'd want to buy it seperately on Ebay after the release of the book I supposably would have to pay the same price. Can't await until next Sunday to hopefully see come pics of the RBR! Do you think that it'll then be ready for preorder soon (like last year's DS)? Klaus-Dieter
  20. Since we haven't heard anything about that rumoured Castle jubilee set until now I'm now doubting that this info was right. In the forum this person who mentioned that even wrote that Space Police will firstly take place in 2010. So he/she might be wrong with the info about the Castle jubilee set, too, and the second Castle set only exclusively available is the Orcs BP. What do you think? Klaus-Dieter
  21. Thanks, MdrnMrvls! Yes, for me the interior is - when building MOCS - the most important. Supposably that's because of I have been very often thinking how nice this and that set is - but when building it up I have been really disappointed about how less interior there's included. Klaus-Dieter
  22. Nothing is with me, Batbrick. But I'm really getting tired of all that fantasy themes! We have now Agents, Space Police, Power Miners and the current "Castle" theme and next year even Ben 10 and all these other licensed themes - isn't that enough for fantasy themes?! Look at what we've got for "real" themes on the other hand: only City and Pirates! Isn't that a big disparity?! Of course there were several fantasy themes in the past, too, but - when you look at catalogues of the ninetees - there were even more "real" themes (e. g. in 1997: City, Pirates, Western and a nice Castle theme). I find it very unfair that TLG offers on the one hand that many fantasy themes to the FOLs which want fantasy themes - but on the other hand there are only two themes (City and Pirates) for FOLs who want close to reality themes! To prevent misunderstandings: We're talking about a theme like this one and not about a theme like this one, don't we? Klaus-Dieter
  23. I can only agree with you! Apart from that they all very the last theme didn't even sell well and stopped already after its first wave. So why should TLG release again a theme similar to this one when the chance that it'll sell as bad as the last one is very high?! Klaus-Dieter
  24. That's a great MOC, prateek! I really it! It looks very close to the Sports Car and very realistic! Regrettably it has no car doors - but I know that this isn't your fault since LDD regrettably offers car doors only in red. I really like the color scheme black-white - fantastic combination! Very well done! Klaus-Dieter
  25. Thanks for clarifying that, just2good! But why is it then posted under the "Trains and Town" theme?! Let me guess: Supposably because all themes which are no "historical" sets, no Space sets, no Technic sets, no licensed sets, no Pirates sets and no Bionicle sets are put in the "Trains and Town" forum! So: In a real Aquazone theme like TLG released in 2007 or in the beginning of the ninetees I'm really not interested! It is the same like with the current "Castle" theme, the Space Police theme and the Agents theme: ! I really don't understand why TLG doesn't release a nice theme - like e. g. Western (would be my absolute favourite one), Adventures, Space Port, ...! Btw: In order to get at least one good news for next year's themes and sets: Is there nobody who heard something about next year's City sets? Klaus-Dieter
