  1. Thank you very much for these pics, Alywin! Didn't I say that it is a toy shop?! This set looks so  - it's without doubts one of the best City sets ever!!! I'm really surprised that there's a light brick included and even batteries for it. I think that the light brick is placed in the little room upstairs and the battery box in the roof on the right side. I hope that the shop itself (downstairs) will this time include a cash point - but I highly doubt it since it's very likely that the only interior are the two toys shown in the windows. Btw: Can you detect what the toy in the right window is? I think and hope that it won't be more than 80 Euros (10193 includes 1601 pcs. and is 100 Euros - and 10199 includes 815 pcs. but batteries and a light brick). How much do you think it'll cost? I will buy this set for sure and am hoping that we'll get more winter sets in the next year! Klaus-Dieter
  2. Like what? Your picture isn't visible, Emperor Claudius Rome. I totally agree with you, Emperor Claudius Rome - a saloon is an absolute must for a new Western theme! This shall be no offense against you, Oswald the Rabbit, but: Only look at what an awesome Arabic knights theme we could have get - but TLG is making it licensed (meaning fleesh minifigs and much more expensive sets) as Prince of Persia. I really would hate to get a licensed Western theme! Klaus-Dieter
  3. I could well imagine that TLG will reveal this awesome set at BrickCon. Somewhere earlier it was said that it'll be shipped after October 25th. I partly agree with you, TheBrickster. As for the combination of the brilliant MVV with this awesome set: imo that really doesn't fit - only look at the bloomy conifer in the 10193 and the snowy baseplates in the 10199. But I totally agree with you that it would be amazing to get more winter sets! Perhaps to create a whole little winter village with shops, a ski hotel, a piste, a mountain rescue HQ, ... Klaus-Dieter
  4. A note to the "Luke's Landspeeder" set: Since next year will be the 30th years celebration of ESB and since the rumors last year said that there'll be a TIE Bomber this year which turned out to be the Hyenna Droid Bomber: Couldn't it be that the source mixed something up and that we'll get a Snowspeeder instead of a Landspeeder? It is an exlusive set that will be only sold via S@H and in the Lego Stores. Klaus-Dieter
  5. I totally agree with you, Mraz! 'Skintas! An Imperial Technican is absolutely needed and awesome! If it is a regular TIE Fighter from the OT I will buy it for sure. If it is from EU or TFU I never will buy it since I really don't like EU and TFU. Klaus-Dieter
  6. As for the TIE Defender or whatever fighter of the TIE class it may be (like already said I hope for a regular OT TIE Fighter which imo would even make the most sense and sell the best since there are much more OT fans than EU fans) I fear that TLG will make the same mistake they did with this year's TIE Advanced, too, namely to not include any additional minifigure, maintenance vehicle and/or additional accessory. Klaus-Dieter
  7. You supposably understood me wrong, Richie. I meant that the fact that Playmobil now sells some Western sets (even if they are only sold via the customer's service and not in regular toy shops) shows that younger children and/or adult fans of Playmobil are interested in (those) Western sets. And since children grow and get older they then even play with Lego. But they very supposably don't loose the interest in Western. So it would be even for TLG profitable to release some Western sets. But of course it might even well be that there is no correlation. But reality at least is showing us that Lego and Playmobil often release very similar sets and themes - and I highly doubt that this is a coincidence. Klaus-Dieter
  8. After a long time in which I was unsure about how the future of Castle will look like I'm now very sure that we'll see no Castle sets next year. I could well imagine that we'll see another new historical theme - either Greeks, Romans or Western - next year and then in 2011 a new Castle theme (whether it'll then be fantasy again, Forestmen, Ninja or more like Classic Castle I don't know since it is hard to say - I personally would prefer a mixture between Classic Castle and Forestmen). Klaus-Dieter
  9. Thanks, Section8! You're right about adding the Main Street to the city center of Legostadt. I even have and had that in mind - but forgot to update the picture on BS - so thanks for the advise. Now you can find it in the updated plan in the first comment of this topic. And about the CC styled buildings: I really am no fan of them, too, since they are much to expensive and don't include an open back wall. Klaus-Dieter
  10. Sorry for the misunderstanding, Oky Wan Kenobi. With an Endor BP for next summer - which has imo a chance of 50:50 - I didn't mean the regular January BPs but a medium sized BP like this year's Echo Base set. It might include a speeder bike, a brick-built tree, some other foliage plants, some weapons, two Ewoks, an Endor Rebel Trooper/Endor Luke, a Scout Trooper and a Storm Trooper. At all events I can't imagine that we'll get two Endor BPs - one for the Imperials and one for the Rebels/Ewoks - but I think that if we got one we'll get one in which Rebels/Ewoks as well as Imperials will be included. Klaus-Dieter
  11. I don't say that we'll never get some new Ninja sets, Peppermint_M. But for next year it's imo totally excluded since TLG always makes a break of one year before a completely new Castle theme comes up. Plus think about Prince of Persia - these are Arabin knights and it is a licensed theme. Nevertheless it's some sort of "Castle" theme. Because of that I could well imagine that we won't see any new Castle sets in 2010. Not only because I prefer Western over Ninja - but imo although the chances are (at least for the next years) very small anyway if one of these themes will be released it firstly will be Western (poll on EB with more votes for Western than for Ninja, poll created by TLG whether we want Animals, Robots or Western for a new Factory theme, many topics about Western but only very few about Ninja on EB, ...). But of course I even could be wrong. Klaus-Dieter
  12. That's a great town layout, SalvoBrick! I really it! The houses, cars, minifigs and accessory are awesome! The Esso garage and the police station are designed brilliantly and look very realistic! The most I like the lovely details you included like e. g. the ice cream cart, the clothesline in the backyard or the breakdancers. Very well done! Klaus-Dieter
  13. As already mentioned an UCS version as a regulary set is imo totally unrealistic, RoflWafls. As for its contents - like already mentioned - I would "only" expect Luke, Ben, two Tuskens, a Bantha, some rock pieces and of course the Landspeeder since I bet that it won't be a big set since the ARC Fighter will be 70 Euros/Dollars or even more. But of course everything is possible. Keep even in mind that this is a rumor list - meaning not all rumors on that list have to be true and the names are probably not the final set names. Klaus-Dieter
  14. I use Open Office Draw. It's a very good program since you can copy all forming and models. I can really advise you to use it - I surely will use it in the future, too. Thanks, Polish Guy and CP5670! I personally prefer the old grey road plates over all other road plates, too, since there is enough place for the civilians to walk but even enough place for cars (with 6 stuck wide cars with side mirrors it gets however a bit close). I wanted at all costs to have a park in the middle of Legostadt. The park is really not big - but nevertheless it's a green and calm place where the citizens can relax. Thanks, prateek! When you look at my layout I built up last year you can see that I own many more buildings than I will include in the City Center of Legostadt. But - like the name already says the city center is only the center of Legostadt. And all the other buildings belong to different districts. Another two very simple reasons are time and place: 1. I haven't got that much time at the moment to put all my City sets together to a complete City layout. 2. I will make the pics of the city center of Legostadt in my student digs - and there is only place for about that number of sets shown in my layout plan. Btw: Thank you very much for the advise for my mistake, prateek: It shall be 6394 - the awesome Metro Park & Service Tower. I corrected that. Klaus-Dieter
  15. Who says that there won't be an Endor BP in summer 2010, Oky Wan Kenobi? Since we got the Echo Base set this year I never would have thought that we'll get any Hoth BPs next year - so it might even be that we'll get an Endor BP in summer 2010, too. I totally agree wit hyou, legoman! I don't like CW - but the Lego CW sets are at least nicely designed. But look at the EU and TFU sets like the TIE Crawler and the Rogue Shadow - ! Last year there were two TIEs on the rumor list and we did this year "only" get Darth Vader's. So it may even be that this rumor is wrong. But if the rumor is right I hope for a regular OT TIE Fighter in grey - which would be imo the nearest since we did get the Advance this year. On the other hand you can never know - and like already mentioned I highly doubt that we'll see three or even four OT sets already in January. Why, legoman? Keep in mind that this is only the first wave of sets - the summer sets and the exclusive set(s) aren't mentioned yet. After several rumors and 2010 being 30th anniversary of TESB it is very likely that we'll see a new Cloud City as exlusive set in fall next year. And a new Slave is imo needed and very likely, too. Perhaps we'll even get some small location of the Echo Base - e. g. medical room and control center - but I doubt it. You're welcome, darkrebellion. This is a good question! Possibly a midi-scale Twin Pod Cloud Car will be included in the highly supposably exclusive Cloud City set in fall - or we get the Twin Pod Cloud Car as a small regular set in summer. Even think about that since TLG does not only release OT sets in 2010 not all possible sets for ESB can be made. Plus we want some more OT sets in 2011, don't we? That would be absolutely awesome , WookieWarrior, but I regrettably highly doubt it since I think it will be a set more in the size and price class of this year's Echo Base or Vader's TIE Advanced. Klaus-Dieter
  16. Western would be absolutely  ! But like already mentioned several times I highly doubt it. But Greeks are possible since there is that Minotauris board game this year. About Atlantic I'm not sure. I totally agree with you on the news, CDC! But more than pics - which I of course really want to see, too - I want to know which new themes we have to await! Since Pirates will continue in 2010 I'm sure that there'll be a ship for the soldiers - probably unluckily as usual smaller than the pirates' ship. As for the Ninja theme I see no chance. If there are any Castle sets in 2010 than they'll be fantasy area. Klaus-Dieter
  17. It was said that it'll be similar to the Aquazone theme from 2007. But I highly doubt that since this theme seemed to be not a very big success. Possibly it's a remake of the brilliant underwater exploration theme from the mid-ninetees as a new subtheme for City - that would be awesome! Klaus-Dieter
  18. Thank you very much for your nice comments, Vaders_son, aawsum and TheBrickster! I think you won't be disappointed. Klaus-Dieter
  19. I can't imagine that, DarthSion, and I must even say that I really hope that it won't be TFU. I can't imagine that TLG will include C-3PO in this set, Penitent Tangent, since it surely won't be more than 40 Euros. And TLG needs to include something new in this set - meaning Tusken Raiders - otherwise it won't sell well. Because of that I bet and hope that if the rumors on the Luke's Land Speeder are right it'll include: -Luke's Landspeeder -Luke Tatooine style (like in the 10188 DS) -Obi-Wan Kenobi with brown cap and suit (like in the 10188 DS) -two Tusken Raiders with new head mold -rock piece(s) -Bantha Klaus-Dieter
  20. I doubt that we'll see a new ARC-170 Starfighter. But an UCS version (as any UCS version) as a regular set in the January line is absolutely excluded since there always have been appearing only regular sets. I doubt that we'll see a TIE Defender since it is from the EU. Very supposably the informants mixed up something - a regular TIE Fighter is imo well possible since it appears in all episodes from the OT. I'm even not sure about Luke's Landspeeder since it is from episode 4. And only the landspeeder (with Luke and Obi-Wan) alone is really not very interesting. It has to come with two Tusken Raiders and a Bantha - but I highly doubt that it would. Apart from that I even doubt that we'll get three or four OT sets (of course I really would like that - but I highly doubt that). The Tri-Droid and the two Hoth BPs seem to me the only three sets which are right. Klaus-Dieter
  21. Some days ago I bought the awesome 7641 City Life and some weeks ago I ordered the brilliant 7747 Wind Turbine Transport. So next week on Wednesday I'll supposably build up my layout, will make pics and then will show them on Thursday or Friday to you. Have a nice time until then! Klaus-Dieter
  22. I can't imagine that to be a Wampa, AoNZ, since a Wampa would only make sense if Luke was included in this set, too, but he isn't. Besides the pics are that blurry (mainly the right one) that you can hardly detect anything. If this is a BP for around 15 Euros than there imo surely will be no animal be included since this molds are that expensive. Klaus-Dieter
  23. According to rumors posted on Jedinews Indiana Jones is to be discontinued in 2010. Imo that would make sense and be comprehensible since there will be four new licensed themes (Cars, Toy Story, Prince of Persia and Ben 10) in 2010. And - according to legomilk - we'll get twp new themes - the only question is whether the new licensed themes are counted to them or not. Klaus-Dieter
  24. After a very long time of waiting it seems as if rumors about next year's SW sets came up on Jedinews: Hoth Rebel Troopers Battle Pack Snowtroopers Battle Pack Droid Tri-Fighter TIE Defender ARC-170 Starfighter Luke's Landspeeder Source Klaus-Dieter
  25. It is just a plan of a town until now. But if TLG releases an elevated train next year as the TRU fans' choice set I'll add it to this my layout and then there'll be a train included. Supposably my layout should be indexed here? Klaus-Dieter
