  1. That's a great and very interesting topic, TheBrickster! I totally agree with you - of course an expansion of the Western town is the first thing which comes to our minds when we think about which new Western sets we'd like to see. But Western is really not only cowboys, bandidts and sheriff. Which TLG regrettably missed in 1997 is a medicin man's tipi with a medicin man and an injured Indian on a stretcher and a treasure cave for the Indians with a waterfall and a secret door. A buffalo and a pipe of peace are of course must-haves for new pieces. Two different tribes (or at least a new sort of tribe in a possible new Western theme) would be more interesting and increase the playability - plus it would take away possible ethnic problems since so Indians fight against Indians (and not against civilians or soldiers). Klaus-Dieter
  2. Thank you all very much for your nice comments and your encouragement! And many thanks to CopMike for for delivering our report to TLG! Like TheBrickster already mentioned I, too, am really happy to see how our Lego Western fans community has been growing in the last months with many new members admitting their like of Wild West sets and with showing lots of awesome Western MOCs. I hope that this petition will open TLG their eyes that Western is still popular - even among kids - and that there is a whole bunch of ideas which could be made real. Like it was already mentioned some sort of exclusive Western town set (e. g. a bank, a sheriff's office, a saloon, a stage coach, a covered waggon and a lot of accessory and minifigs) would be a great opportunity to test how big the interest in this theme really is. (I know that there'll be two Western sets in the Toy Story line - but that really does not give any clue about the popularity of a new Western theme: 1. Many Toy Story fans will buy these two TS Western sets but only since they belong to Toy Story. 2. Many real Western fans will not buy these two TS Western sets since they are licensed and do not fit with the regular non-licensed Western theme.) Klaus-Dieter
  3. Hello everybody! You perhaps remember this petition for the comeback of the awesome Western theme? In the last years some of you did post a lot of awesome ideas for new Western sets. So Bonaparte asked me to write a little report about which new Western sets the Eurobricks' Western fans community would like to see - and I did so. Many thanks to TheBrickster for helping me a lot with adding some more aspects from a second topic and improving my (regrettably very bad) English! You can download the result here: Report - Ideas for new western sets Either Bonaparte or CopMike will hand this report over to TLG at their next ambassador meeting. So even many thanks to Bonaparte for managing this (although he has surely already a lot to do as ambassador of Classic Pirates)! Let's hope that TLG will answer our prayers. I hope that you are content with our work - comments are welcome! Klaus-Dieter
  4. That's a totally awesome MOC, lightningtiger! I really it! It looks very realistic, includes a lot of details and looks like an official set! The most I like the great interior you added to it. If TLG released this as an official set I immediately would buy it since it would be a perfect and very well fitting addition to 7641 - we really need a bank for Lego City! Very, very well done! Btw: Welcome to EB, lightningtiger! Klaus-Dieter
  5. That's an awesome MOC, SlyOwl! I really it! The details of the fair are stunning - and there are even some very funny elements, too! The most I like the carroussel - the brick-built dragon looks perfect! Very well done! Klaus-Dieter
  6. This is a totally awesome MOC, TheBrickster! I really it! It looks absolutely realisitic and like an official set! And the story behind it is like always great. too! Although creating a paddle wheel is surely very difficult you successfully managed it. Great fitting of Pirates parts in the Western theme. The most I like the colors you used for it - esp. for a ghost paddle wheel steamer they look perfect. Very, very well done! Btw: I know that you mainly build ghost town creations. But looking at that awesome ghost paddle wheel steamer: Would you like to build a regular paddle wheel steamer (in white-red colors and perhaps looking similar to the Playmobil prototype which naver has been released)? It surely would be great! Klaus-Dieter
  7. That's a totally awesome MOC, DNL! I really it! The architecture of the buildings, the landscape and all these details included look absolutely realistic and stunning! The only thing I do not like are the tentacles coming out of the water. Otherwise it's perfect! The most I like the framework buildings, the cross arrow slits, the artful decorated windows and all that additional civilian landscape (the desgin of the fields and trees if amazing!). A real masterpiece of Lego art! Very, very well done! Btw: Did you have some pics of a real existing castle as antetype or did you "only" build how you wanted to look it like? Did you plan the castle and the landscape before building it? How long took it to build the whole layout? Klaus-Dieter
  8. This is a great and very interesting toric, TheBrickster! I really this train engine shed and so am really lucky that I bought it when it was available for a reasonable price. It's surely one of the best Trains and City sets TLG ever made. I rate the quality of your article as Above Average since this topic includes nearly all relevant information - only some picture(s) of the inside of the engine shed and/or a description of which was included in it woud have had been nice. Although all of the by you mentioned train structures are of course great ideas and although TLG should release them all I personally would like the most to get a new Cargo Depot. Reasons: 1. A cargo depot would be a great addition for a/the cargo train and increase the play value. 2. A cargo depot is - like a train station or train level crossing - a point where regular City and Trains meet. And so it would be a great set for real train fans, for City fans which like trains, too, and even for only City fans. 3. A cargo depot offers a lot of playability which guarantees that even JFOLs would like this set: - a crane to load and unload the goods from the train car(s) (independant from whether the crane included will run with PF or manually) - a depot to store the goods which could include a big room (for storing the goods) with sliding doors downstairs and a small office upstairs - a truck to bring the goods to the depot - a palette joe - three or four minifigs - one or two train car/-s and many goods Rumours say that we'll get two trains (supposably one passenger train and one cargo train), a train level crossing and a train station next summer. Since this is already a complete new wave (since train sets are always very expensive anyway) I highly doubt that we'll see any more train sets next year. I even can't imagine that we'll see a modular station since there will already be 10211 - and two minimum 150 Euros CC-styled buildings in one year seem very unrealistic to me. I don't think that TLG will use the new PF functions that much. At least I can't imagine them using in the train level crossing since for the battery box or rechargeable battery box a lot of space would be needed. And where would be the big use of it?! But I could imagine that we'll get a new train shed - either similar to the old red one or one in modern architectual style - or some other train structures as an Exclusive in 2011. Klaus-Dieter
  9. With that many new torsos, new faces and even new head molds in the last years I don't think that a new mold for a med droid would be too complex. I do agree with you, Darth Legolas, that there surely won't be some sort of medical room included in the Wampa Attack set. I bet that the Wampa Attack set won't be that a big set: Wampa, small cave, Tauntaun, Luke - perhaps an animal skeletton - but that will be it. But since the rumoured exclusive AT-AT set has to include something new and not only the AT-AT (with or without PF functions) I could well imagine TLG making not a 150 Euros set (like 10198) out of it but a 250 Euros set (like 10195): AT-AT and a small Echo Base scenery (outside with a downsized shield generator on top which can be blown up and inside with the medical room and the control room), real Major Bren Darlin, real General Veers, two AT-AT Drivers, injured Luke, medical droid, Hoth Rebel Trooper and Snowtrooper Imo this would be the perfect exclusive ESB anniversary set! But of course it's only a wish. Klaus-Dieter
  10. I totally agree with you, Batbrick! A post office and a bank are really, really needed! And I even bet that even JFOLs would like to play with these sets. But since rumours say that we'll get two new trains, a level crossing and a train station I highly doubt that we'll see any other set with a building in it (supposably only some more small sets like vehicles etc.). The only hope is the TRU Exclusive - but on the other hand imo a bank and a post office have to be regular sets - the TRU Exclusive should better include more AFOL orientated contents for our cities (hotel, cafe, taxi stand, small park and decent town hall/church/office building). Well, let's see. Klaus-Dieter
  11. I totally agree with you, ADHO15, that wiki is surely one of the worst sources! And it's right: Slave One With Carbonite Freezing Chamber was one of the three options of the last year's TRU poll. Nevertheless I wouldn't exclude the possibility that the new Slave One will include some sort of a small carbonite freezing chamber. Reasons: 1. If Xwingyoda is right we'll get a new AT-AT as Exclusive. So it's very unsupposably that we'll get another big (exclusive) OT set in 2010 - and so there is even no chance for a Cloud City. But Cloud City - esp. the carbonite freezing chamber and the place where Vader and Luke duel - is one of the most important and among us OT fans demanded scenes from episode 4 (much more than another new AT-AT) so many of us would be really disappointed if TLG didn't release it/them. And releasing Cloud City one year after the anniversary of ESB sound a bit strange to me, too, doesn't it to you? 2. The Slave 1 is a very big vehicle. But if TLG only included Boba Fett many people surely won't buy it since they already own an older version. So TLG has to include something new - at the best many minifigures or even better some new minifigures. I remember one of our newer members told us he/she had seen some pics of the new sets and saw Boba Fett, Vader, Han Solo, Leia (supposably Cloud City style), Chewie, Han Solo in carbonite and a new Bossk minifigure. But 1. that many minifigures make imo not much sense without at least one scenery from Cloud City. And 2. inclduing 6 minifigures plus making the Slave 1 itself surely bigger and more detailed than the former two versions will increase its price. And I really do not think that there will be that many people buying a new Slave One for 100 Euros only because of a Bossk minifigure. But what if it included a small carbonite freezing chamber (which would be the perfect scenerey for the six rumoured characters included)?! Personally I do not hope that TLG will include a carbonite freezing chamber since I want a new Cloud City as a big, decent and detailed set with many rooms with detailed interior and minifigs. A single carbonite freeezing chamber is of course better than nothing - but it is surely not full-fledged. Klaus-Dieter
  12. That's a great and very interesting topic, EmperorClaudiusRome! But: Please car a bit more about your topic descriptions in comparion to your descritions in your post: 1. "Villagers vs. Raiders" is too unprecise since these can be from every historical theme - you could find them in Castle (fantasy as well as non-fantasy), Western, Vikings, ... Please define what you exactly mean. 2. In the poll you ask "Which should replace Fantasy?" but offer the opportunity "Fantasy isn't over yet". So please name this option "I do not want that fantasy will end" since (according to your poll question) you only ask for a wish - and not for which is the most supposable. 3. In your description you write "what do you think might replace it?" - this is a different question in comparison to the topic question "Which should replace Fantasy?" I do not want to make you angry - in contrary I find this topic very interesting - but please care about this since when we shall and want vote we have to know whether we should vote for what we want to replace Castle or what we think might replace Castle since this is a big difference. Please clear that and then I'll vote - thank you very much. For me there is a very clear answer: Castle is one of the original themes (like City, Technic, Creator, Space and Pirates) which will never die as long as Lego sets are sold since it is simply much too popular. The only thing which I could well imagine is that TLG will be going more classic in the Castle line like in City, too, meaning Castle sets getting more in style of the Caslte sets from 1980-2000. But firstly we already have seen some more classic styled buildings (sets really not!) like the tower in the Tower Raid set or the small gate with house in the Skeletton Ship Attack set. Nevertheless I think this is - not only for TLG - not classic enough. And so I even think that the Fantasy Area will end - at the latest next year. After my theory there will then be one year without new Castle sets 1. in order to that the new Castle theme will get more attention and 2. in order to that another new historical theme can be introduced. But after one year break Castle will surely come back - I bet. For a new additional historical set I think Western, Romans and Greeks are the most supposably. I personally would like the most to get Western as a new additional historical theme. Romans would be my second vote, Egypts my third. As a new Castle theme I would like to see a more Classic Castle style theme. Klaus-Dieter
  13. As a real Western fanatic I really would urge you to buy this set, starwarsfanatic! This set is really the money worth it! Like The Inventor I own the S@H version from 2002 - but there is to my knowledge (apart from the layout of the building instruction) no difference to the original version. And I must say that I really this set and will surely not buy it (when I'm not forced to)! It includes really everything a fort needs: two big gates, a small gate (which you can even use as a stable), two big towers, one small tower, two drap doors, two hiding places, a jail, a very lovely and detailed designed office, three horses, a small carriage, many soldiers, some bandidts, a cannon and a lot of accessory. You can combine the four different sections how you like to - combined you get a decent looking big fort (which can be well stored since you can store the different parts seperately). What do you want more?! After Gold City Junction this is definately the best Western set! Klaus-Dieter
  14. So some ideas about (possible) 2010 Exclusives: 10210: Imperial Flagship (officially confirmed) 10211: Grand Emporium (CC-styled building) ((un)officially confirmed) 10212: ??? 10213: additional train car in addition to 10194? 10214: TRU City Exclusive (set officially confirmed (number not confirmed)) 10215: PT/CW EXclusive or SW UCS set? 10216: Creator set? 10217: additional Winter set to 10199? 10218: AT-AT? (rumour) Since the Emerald Night did only include a dining car I wouldn't be surprised if TLG gave us a regular train car to add to 10194. The exclusive TRU City set will surely be released in next summer - so only question is what it'll be (City Square or Public Transportation Center or Truck Stop). Another big CW/PT Exlusive is imo very suppoably since TLG released one this year, too. If we did not get a new CW/PT Exclusive the nwe surely will get a new UCS set. Surely TLG will release another Creator set in 2010, too. But I really have no idea what it might be. Perhaps a monumental building (Sydney Opera/Cheops Pyramide/Caslte Neuschwanstein?) or a sculputure (Sphinx?) in addition the Eiffel Tower and the Taj Mahal A second Winter set is imo (when reading the S@H description of 10199 about 10199 being built in Town Plan style so that you can expand it with other houses) very supposably. And imo a candy shop or a bakery are the most supposably houses which could be released since these are surely even the most popular ones among JFOLs and the most demanded among AFOLs. The rumour of a new AT-AT appeared already some time ago - and since it came from X-Wingyoda I trust this rumour (at least as a rumour) as long as I do not hear something else. What do you think? Klaus-Dieter
  15. Thank you very much for this information, Cwetqo! I really hope that this person on your LUG is right since a new train station and a new level crossing are really, really needed! Plus I bet that if TLG released a cargo train and a passenger train in one line together with a train station and a level crossing the whole Trains theme would get for all Lego Trains and City fans - AFOLs as well as JFOLs - more attractive - for AFOLs more trackside strutures and for JFOLs more playability. Hopefully TLG will give us this time a decent train station since the last one from 2007 was the imo worst train station ever - it was much too small, included only one low floor (plus the small room upstairs), looked much to suburban, the handcar was really out of place, included insufficient minifigures and included nearly no interior. Even the World City train station was much better. But ok, that's my opinion and I should not fly off on a tangent. So I hope for some more classic looking train station - bigger and with more interior. But I think that TLG learned a lot in the last years and since we have been getting such awesome City sets since 2007 I bet that TLG will design the new Train sets (even when they will be more JFOL oriented than AFOL oriented) in a more classic style. Plus it's not yet confirmed that all these four possible sets will be regular sets - I could even well imagine that the train station will be an Exclusive (but on the other hand it's unsupposably since we'll be already getting that TRU Exclusive plus perhaps hopefully a second winter set). Btw: I bet that a railroad worker would sell very well, too, esp. if this was an Impulse set including even a small signal. You're right, TheBrickster. But I'm really not that interested in it. It surely will be bigger than minifig scale if Buddy wants to sit and stand inside. Plus it's a licensed set from a fantasy movie. And I surely will never add some (fantasy) movie licensed train to my City or Western layout (don't get me wrong: I really like TS - but (these) TS sets are something really only for kids (apart from the soldiers sets)). Klaus-Dieter
  16. Thank you very much for this information, legomilk! With "corner house" surely a CC styled building is meant, don't you think? Plus in 2007 and 2008 there was always a CC styled building released around March. So another CC styled building - I'm not interested in them. Klaus-Dieter
  17. Oh well, that could be even only misunderstanding. Of course a family house for the City theme (non-Creator and non-CC-styled) would be - but I fear that it will never happen. Klaus-Dieter
  18. Thanks, Legoliner Pilot. Since I really like the awesome 7641 City Life and like the function of puting on and of the different floors I wanted to do the same here, too. And thank you very much for the advise for how to take screen shots without the square patterns. Klaus-Dieter
  19. Thank you very much for this information, legomilk! Like the others I can't await to read your description of this set! Do you mean with Apple Tree House the new Creator set 5891? I personally can't imagine that TLG will release an exclusive SW set since the Tantive Four was firstly released in Sept./Oct. - it's much more supposably that TLG goes like this year: one huge excl. set from the PT/CW after Toy Fair and one regular excl. set from the OT in Sept./Oct. But on the other hand everything is possible. Imo a CC styled building already in January is not that supposably. Of course you can never know but I think more that TLG will keep the next modular building minium til April. The TRU Exclusive could be it - although it was never said buy TLG when it'll be released I thought that it will be released in about the same time like the SW TRU Excl. Plus we firstly got 10199 this month. On the other hand 10199 is only a small excl. City set - so it might be that we'll see the TRU set already in January. But since we got an exclusive set for the Castle theme (10193) and will get an excl. set for the Pirates theme (10210) this exclusive set might be from every (possible) theme. Since this year we got no Factory Exclusive and since TLG changed Lego Factory into My Design I would even not be surprised if we got as new set designed by Lego fans. Klaus-Dieter
  20. The three SW sets I would like the most and need the most and so which TLG should release are: Yavin 4 Base briefing room with big screen control room with some screens and the big round screen showing Yavin and the appearing DS hangar X-Wing (Red One) small transport vehicle minifigs: General ? (forgot his name, the one with the long white beard welcoming Leia), Red Leader, Biggs Darklighter, Luke (pilot outfit), 2x Rebel Engineer (with white helmet), control room worker, new white-black R2- unit Imperial Shuttle re-designed version of the former version with gangway opening in the front new Imp. Officer black torso (in addition to a fleesh Imp. Shuttle Pilot!) minifigs: Emperor Palpatine, 2x Imp. Royal Guards, black-suited Imp. Offier, Imp. Shuttle Pilot or: Darth Vader, black-suited Imp. Offier, Imp. Shuttle Pilot Cloud City re-designed version of the former version much bigger with more rooms! room with crashing window hallway with real functioning elevator "balcony" where Vader cuts off Luke's hand and Luke jumps down refreshment room huge carbonite freezing chamber with real functioning machine and enough place for Luke and Vader to duel waiting area with big plexi-glas dome (landing platform) (Twin Pod Cloud Car) minifigs: Lando, Lobot, Leia, Han, Luke, Han in carbonite, Bespin Guard, Ughunaut, Boba Fett, 2x Stormtrooper(, Twin Pod Cloud Car Pilot) Klaus-Dieter
  21. Thanks, prateek. This/A farm shop is indeed thought as an addition to the Farm (theme). Thanks, Big Cam. I do not plan to make it real - it's hugely overpriced plus I never do buy my LDD MOCs. But if TLG released something similar to that I surely would buy it! Thanks, BlueBard. Thanks, Christopher. There are even cherries, grapes, croissants and ice creams - but I wanted to design this MOC in the style of an official set (or at least how I think it could look like if it was a preliminary official set) and so reduced the number and diversity of accessory since it would in an official set be very supposably the same, too. Klaus-Dieter
  22. Thanks, Christopher. You're absolutely right about the needle tree - the only problem is that LDD regrettably doesn't offer a bush (like it does not offer a fruit tree). Klaus-Dieter
  23. Hello everybody! After having opened a topic about The three City sets you'd like TLG to release I thought that the same would be interesting for SW, too. (The difference of this topic in opposite to the general Ideas for future SW sets is that everyone should list his/her three most wanted sets TLG should release and not a (nearly) unlimited list of possible sets. This could imo even be a (better) indication for TLG to know what we want for sets the most.) So please tell us which three Star Wars sets you'd like the most to see TLG producing! These can be re-releases of older sets, re-designs of older sets or even completely new sets. Comments are welcome! Klaus-Dieter
  24. These are awesome ideas which surely would make perfect additions for a big zoo set, Sammael! Zabra and bison would be very cool. Btw: Please make sure that you checked this topic about which three Lego City sets you'd like the most, too! Klaus-Dieter
  25. That's a great and very interesting topic, pedro! I saw this picture in the book, too, and asked myself why TLG did not release this awesome set. Of course it would need a bit improvement before being released - but then I surely would buy it since we really need a Yavin 4 Base! So I voted for Definately, but after some minor design tweaks. -the interior needs some improvement: some more details like screens -the control room with the round screen of Yavin 4 and the appearing DS is missing! -a small transport vehicle and some cargo stuff and tools are needed -the X-Wing should be exactly the same like the last S@H version from 2006(?) but Red-One marked -abolutely necessary new minifigs for this set: Commander ? , Red Leader, fleesh Biggs Darklighter and Rebel Engineer (2x) with white helmet -other minifigs: Luke (pilot outfit) and Rebel (for the control room) Imo TLG could pass on the last scenery where Han and Luke get their prices. Of course this would really be a pity - but it would make the set much cheaper since there are minimum three less minifigs needed (Han, Luke and Leia) plus one big room. I could well imagine some sort of Mon Calamari styled Yavin 4 Base with hangar with X-Wing, control room and briefing room. I really hope that TLG will release a set similar to this one in 2011 (for the supposable end of Lego SW) since we really need a decent Yavin 4 Base! Klaus-Dieter
