Thank you very much for the new information! Midi-Scale Star Destroyer It's really a pity that we don't get a minifig-scaled ISD (like 6211) with minifigs and interior. AT-AT Since the AT-AT has a regular non-10... set number it's very supposably that it'll be an UCS set (since UCS sets were only at the very beginning of LSW sold in regular shops). Klaus-Dieter

Thank you very much for all the pics, everyone! Train Level Crossing nothing very exiting, but a neat set for JFOLs good that it can be placed on which streetplate you want Train Station + pedestrian bridge taxi - taxi without car doors only one track between the two platforms (which makes absolutely no sense) much, much too small train station Passenger Train - only three minifigs supposably no train doors + very realistic design small platform Cargo Train - supposably no train doors + cargo loading station very realistic design truck with containers included tank included Summary: The Train Level Crossing is a neat set, the Passenger Train looks quite good. The worst set is definately the Train Station - I was so much hoping for a big train station ! The best set is definately the Cargo Train which its very realistic design, its much playability and a great cargo loading station included (which I never would have expected)! Klaus-Dieter

Thank you very much for the new pics, everyone and the information on new sets, AllanSmith and whung! Here I am. 3221 Lego Truck - much too long + great design Lego sets Now we even need a Lego Store in which these sets are sold! 2824 LEGO City Advent Calendar I awaited an advent calendar for 2010 of course, too, but it's great to see it been confirmed. 7848 TRU Truck It's hard to say since we do not know which kind of truck this should be - but suppsoably it'll be again a very huge one. 8404 "Fan Choice" I am really surprised that it will supposably not be around 150 Euros (like 10184) but more like 10193 (100 Euros). Like Alywin already mentioned I consequently fear that it will be the truck stop. 8403 City House That sound really amazing! Like it was already mentioned I hope that it'll come with a decent interior and some nice minifigs - perfect would be a whole family with mother, father, son and daughter. Klaus-Dieter

You're right, wooootles. I didn't think about that. All these trucks shown on that picture are parts of already known sets: the taxi of the train station, the train repair vehicle of the railroad crossing, the red truck of the cargo train set and the big yellow truck will - after AllanSmith's information be a Dec. 2010 release. And the already known tank truck will be released separately. Btw: I looked again at the pictures of the new passenger train and now have high doubts that it'll be an elevated train. So we might possibly get a Public Transportation Center. Klaus-Dieter

Two more reasons I detected on the pic which speak against the new passenger train being an elevated train: 1. Why would TLG display the passenger train without pillars if it is an elevated train with tracks on pillars? You have to agree that this would make no sense - even since mainly AFOLs would be euphoric to see a new elevated train. 2. The cargo loading station seems to me like it is very wide so that two trains can drive down through it. If there is only one train (namely the cargo train) this would for a kid make no sense. 3. The minifig on the platfrom has its head directly in front of the wheels of the train. So the train - taking in consideration the stereoscopic effect of the box art design - must drive on about the same level like the minifig is positioned. Nevertheless - like already mentioned - I hope that I'm wrong and this will be an elevated train. Klaus-Dieter

Two more notices: It's really a pity that the train station will be that small! Of course that pedestrian bridge is a great addition and it's even great to get two platforms - but nevertheless a decent train station is neccessary! But it's great that TLG designed that a great diesel engine which goes much better with a cargo train than an electric engine! On the box of the passenger train set you can clearly see that PFs are included. So it would be absurd if they don't include PFs in the cargo train set, too. Plus about 200 Euros for the cargo train without PFs would be a fancy price only very few people would buy and even remember that this is going to be a set mainly for JFOLs - so there have to be PFs included in order to that it can drive. Btw: I don't want to shock you - but I fear that this passenger train will be a complete regular train and no elevated train: The two white pillars are one street lamp on the platform and a signal next to the track. Plus do you see the white minifig? If this is an elevated train it would mean that the tracks are directly above the head of the minifig. I hope I'm wrong. Klaus-Dieter

Well, I think I've got the solution to what the set on the right bottom is: Rick posted following picture in the "2010 Trains sets" topic: Do you notice the white-red railings and these two lights which are on the bottom of the pedestrian bridge in the new train station set? I don't think that TLG is still that "crazy" about fuel pumps and big trucks - only think about there more environmentally orientated direction with the Wind Turbine Transport and the Small Car. But the point of a truck stop being a very expensive sounds convincing to me. I totally agree with you, lightningtiger! This vehicle in the train crossing set seems indeed to be very similar to this one on the picture here. Klaus-Dieter

Of course my position is not completely neutral, lightningtiger and wooootles, since I'd prefer the City Square for the TRU Exclusive. But even think about this: 1. The Public Transportation Center is absolutely excluded since we'll get that new elevated train. A taxi is (very supposably) included in the new train station. And a bus is already included in the City Corner set. So what should a Public Transportation Center include otherwise?! 2. We already have got two wreckers, the tank truck will come out in April and the yellow truck in December. Which other different trucks should TLG include in a Truck Stop?! Plus these lights seem to be very small to me - so imo a small regular gas station sounds more supposably. And that there are lights on top does not say anything. Many modern industrial buildings (like supermarkets) have lights on their roofs in order to lighten their signs and the parking site. Apart from a gas station, a small bistro and a garage what should a Truck Stop include?! But a garage is already available. And some sort of bistro can be included in all of the three options. 3. At least Town Plan isn't available anymore - so ... Maybe I'm even wrong - but to me it sounds to unsupposably that we'll get a Truck Stop. Plus I bet that the TRU Exclusive will have the same boxart like all newer City Exclusives (Town Plan and Winter Toy Shop) - namely these blue bricks on top and on the right side. Well, only time will tell us. Klaus-Dieter

Thank you very much for this picture, Siegfried, for the link to a high resolution pic, I Scream Clone and for the price information, AllanSmith! The new cargo train looks awesome - it'll even come with a tank waggon, two containers, a truck and even a cargo loading station! The new passenger train looks awesome - hopefully it will include some nice interior. But about that it is elevated I'm not that sure - these two white pillars could be big street lights, too. It's great to see that the new train station includes a passenger bridge and even supposably a taxi ! The only thing I don't like is that the station seems to be only one floor big and very small (or do I see wrong?). The level crossing looks good. It's great to have a another neat vehicle for repair included. I can't wait for better pics and for summer in order to perhaps get some of these awesome sets! Klaus-Dieter

I don't know. Maybe a new gas station since the one from 2007 is now marked "sold out" on S@H? Since there is no whole box but only a picture it can be only a poster and not a part of a set, too (although I must admit that this sounds implausible). At all events I don't think that it'll be the TRU Exclusive. But since we'll get supposably an elevated train as regular City set we all know now that the TRU Exclusive will be the City Square. From the "2010 Train sets" topic (page 6): Thank you very much for this information, AllanSmith! I wonder what'll be included in this set - apart from the truck itself and the driver. Plus I'm excited about whether it'll be 6 stuck wide. Klaus-Dieter

Thank you very much for this information, mutley777! The Wampa looks now much better and the ice cave is ok. The Landspeeder looks to me very well designed. Btw: Could it be that Luke's lightsaber can be slingshot out of the ice block? Klaus-Dieter
-
Thank you very much for these pics, AlaPo! I don't like the third set but the first set looks and the second one looks - it's a shame that it is licensed (fleesh minifigs and more expensive)! Klaus-Dieter

That's a totally awesome small Western scenery, Torham! I really it! It looks absolutely realistic! The most I like the design of the bar and the accessory you added to it. Very, very well done! Btw: Welcome to EB, Torham! Klaus-Dieter
-
TheBrickster and I already wrote a report which CopMike handed to Lego. You can read it here. And I already opened a petition for the comeback of the great Western theme - you can find it here. Why do you want these minifigs to be included in a ghost town? I mean: US and CS soldiers don't really fit there - they fit much more in a "regular" Western theme. Otherwise I totally agree with you that it would be great to get all these minifigs and to get a ghost town! Klaus-Dieter

This MOC looks simply amazing, TheBrickster! I really it! It looks absolutely realistic, the colors and the architecture fit very well! Very, very well done! Klaus-Dieter

That's a great MOC, TheBrickster! I really it! It is very well designed - and even includes a small smuggler's compartment. Very well done! Klaus-Dieter

Thank you very much for this information, KimT! Indeed this is great information! Btw: We know that two of the Impulse sets will be a magician and a jester. Do you know whom the third Impulse set will include? A good/bad knight? Klaus-Dieter
-
Thank you very much for this information, AllanSmith and KimT! I totally have to agree with you, Joe H! More civilian sets - such as the awesome MVV - are indeed needed! But keep in mind that these are mainly to AFOLs oriented sets. Nevertheless I bet that - since MVV sold very well - we will get a new Castle Exclusive in 2011. Total agreement here, too! Imo the name is really not that which makes a good or bad set. But the name similarity and the infos we have been getting until now makes me fearing that we'll be getting a very similar to KK2 styled Castle theme for 2010, too. At least the set names don't sound very promising! -Why not releasing a princess' carriage attacked by the bad guys instead of giving us a prison carriage out of which a good guy shall be freed?! -And why not giving us a decent castle for the bad guys instead of very supposably only a tower with a big prison?! I really do not understand. Well, let's see. Klaus-Dieter

Thank you very much for this information, lightningtiger! It's great to hear that we'll see the TRU Exclusive been unveiled already in the middle of February! "Flagship set" - so we will be getting a pirates ship for the City theme?! Now seriously: "Flagship set" gives us a hint that it surely will be something very special. Of course a city square would be somthing very special, too - I personally would even prefer it over an elevated train - but I think that the majority of City fans would prefer an elevated train. And since an elevated train is in such a big demand mainly among us AFOLs it would be a "flagship set" if we get one. Plus the words "albeit exlusive" are imo a sign that it will be more than 150 Euros. The awesome 10184 was 150 - so most of us would expect the same price for the upcomming TRU Exclusive, too. That it will supposably be more is imo a sign that it won't be the City Square option which imo could been designed for 150 Euros. I totally agree with you that surely the Truck Stop didn't make it, Legoliner Pilot. As for a possible elevated train set as the TRU Exclusive: 1. An elevated train would surely look similar to the Airport Shuttle - but in comparison to the monorail system it would not drice up and down but stay at one level - so there is not such a powerful motor needed. 2. I remember that someone stated earlier that if we get an elevated train as the TRU Exclusive it won't include a motor. 3. Since this set supposably will be more than 150 Euros it's not excluded that TLG did design some extra pieces - maybe even extra tracks for it. 4. Fact is that the IJ rail on which carriages can drive up and down is too small for a regular train carriage - it would fall out of the track. And besides that I highly doubt that TLG will release an elevated train in 4 stuck wide - I bet that they will design it 6 stuck wide. Btw: Although I doubt that, too, but: Since our source says "albeit expensive": Who does know that we won't get a combination of City Sqaure and Public Transportation Center - e. g. an elevated train with two small stations, a hamburger stall, a taxi station and a hotel ( )?! Klaus-Dieter

Thank you very much for this catalogue scan, legomilk! I totally agree with you, Holodoc! 14 Euors for the army set is ! I didn't know that TS will be getting that an expensive license like SW. Which makes me really angry is that all the small (civilian) City sets firstly will come out in April. I really don't understand that sales strategy to release only Fire sets and only big sets for 40 Euros + in the beginning of 2010: People which aren't interested in the new Fire sets (like me) or which haven't got the money to buy these Fire big sets or which simply want to buy some nice small additions to their Lego cities (like me, too) get angry since they have to wait that long. Plus someone who wants to buy only a small gift e. g. for a children's birthday party will see that there's no small set released before April and so will buy something different than Lego. Anyway this year the distribution of sets was much better - there were even smaller sets in January and not only 40 Euros + sets and there were even two small civilian sets (the City Minifigure Collection and the BBQ Stand) out in the beginning of the year. Otherwise imo the price performance ratio of the Waterplane, the Small Car, the Lightning Repair and the Tank Truck are quite ok. Maybe PoP is not released in Germany? I remember there was a theme called Avator or similar which wasn't released in Germany, too. Klaus-Dieter

Thank you very much for this great review, daoudbazaar! I voted for Average since it is indeed a great set - but could have been done better: Cons: -only very common minifig -no peer -no doors for the pilot to get in and out Pros: -good price ratio performance -awesome designed plane Klaus-Dieter
-
Thank you very much for this great review, daoudbazaar! I voted for Outstanding since this set is imo really outstanding: -awesome designed small 4 wide stud car -nice minifigure -and even a suitcase -good price ratio performance It's an absolutely perfect small City set! Klaus-Dieter
-
Ok. But UCS sets don't interest me. So there might be another exclusive non-UCS set for the OT, don't you think? Possible a second version of Cloud City? Klaus-Dieter
-
That looks simply , lightningtiger! Where can I buy it? No, seriously: Post office with simple but well-fitting interior and lovely post Smart - this would really make a great official set! Btw: The design of the exterior of the post office has a familiar ring to: Bank Robbery. Klaus-Dieter

This looks like a Western MOC, Lego lover! Regrettably the quality of the picture is very bad that you can't see things that good. Will we get a better pic? Btw: Welcome to EB, Lego lover! Klaus-Dieter
