  1. I don't know whether these have been already posted here, but here is a link to very detailed pictures of every minifig of series 2. Til now we haven't got any confirmation that there'll be a third series, darthperson. It's very supposably that there'll be a third series since TLG asked for our ideas - but since they firstly asked about some weeks ago, the question is whether they'll be aible to judge for some of these ideas and produce them during 3/4 year. If there were new minifig series in 2011, the first (or only one) would surely be released at a date similar to this year's first seriies - namely May. But whether there'll be a new series, we'll surely firstly know this fall - and pictures surely will firstly appear at the beginning of 2011. Klaus-Dieter
  2. Hello everybody! About one week ago I designed following MOCset with LDD: Multimedia Store You need a new TV, a computer or a radio? Then go to the multimedia store! This set includes a multimedia store with a lot of accessory: a TV, four screens, a ghetto blaster, two radios, a salesman and a woman with a suitcase. The outside: The inside from the one side: And from the other side: Like you surely see, I used a design very similar to the TRU shop in 7848. But I took off the air conditioning in order to that you can set one building directly next to the other and do not necassarily have to set it as a stand-alone. Comments are welcome! Klaus-Dieter
  3. I could even well imagine that on top of the entrance there will be a croissant (like in the Market Street). As for an upper floor: I think that the bakery will only have one floor - the main room with counter and a big chimney next to it. Hopefully there'll be again seven minifigs included with men, woman, boys and girls (perfect choice and number of minifigs)! I think that we can await pics of it in the middle til end of this month (like it was last year?). Klaus-Dieter
  4. This is a great idea, muscleman! But I don't see it happen in 2011 because of following reason: Clown and magician are that epic characters that have to be included in a circus theme/set itself. If TLG didn't include a clown and a magician in a circus theme/set, for those who didn't have a chance to get a clown and a magician of the minifig series 1, two of these epic characters would miss in the circus. (And for those who had the chance to get them, they would now have two ones of each.) If we saw a new set with new animals next year, I bet it'll be a sheep grazing land for the Farm theme. A zoo theme might be there, too, but that depends on which other sets and subthemes of City we'll get. Klaus-Dieter
  5. I think it's time to go back to discussing the acutal sets. Since 10216 Winter Village Bakery will be released at October 1st, I could well imagine that 8404, 8403 and 7848 will be released in the middle of this month at S@H. That the tram includes small train wheels is on the one hand good for those which want to let it run on real tracks and on the other good for those who want to let it use like a reguar car (the only problem might be that the small train wheels scratch the road plates - don't you think?). Klaus-Dieter
  6. Thank you very much for the link to the brickset pics, Jammiedodger714, and for the catalogue scans, Legoman! Having seen the pics on brickset, I finally decided to not buy the AT-AT. The canon is great and so does the exterior of the AT-AT. But there is even so much bad about this set: mainly that General Veers again gets a wrong torso, that we get no location for completely useless Han and C-3PO and that the command seat of the commander is completely seperated from the cockpit. I'm really not poised to pay between 100-150 Euros for this set. TLG surely will release a new AT-AT again in three or four years - perhaps then they do manage to give us a real General Veers and again a cockpit in which the "command center" is included (like in the motorised version). So I better save my money for a very supposable Cloud City - hopefully it will not get that a disappointment than this AT-AT. Why that angry, Shadows? It's my opinion. And when you go through with your argument of MOCing, you have to admit that you can MOC the whole AT-AT and btw all SW sets and so we consequently wouldn't need any new Lego SW sets but only a huge palette of special SW bricks via PaB and all the SW designers can go home. Klaus-Dieter
  7. Absolute agreement here, CarrollFilms! A Western train - of course with a decent station (either as a seperate set or included) - would be a dream becoming real for me! But it's very unrealistic to await it in 2011 since there's already that licensed one from the TS theme (although that one is of course not which we want). Before we might get a Western train, firstly a new Western theme has to/would be released. And then the year after that maybe as an Exclusive (like it was within the Pirates theme: 2009: Pirates sets, 2010: exclusive Pirates set (10210 Imperial Flagship). So let's hope! Btw: Like it was already said, it could even well be that there won't be any new Train sets in the next year(s). Nevertheless I do hope I'm wrong with this apprehension. Klaus-Dieter
  8. Hello, I've got one question: How do I know how many bricks my model includes? Do I really have to count them all? Thank you very much for your answer. Klaus-Dieter
  9. Thanks Z06. I really hope that TLG will release some new Western sets similar to Carbonhydrates', TheBrickster's, BrickMiner's or mine! Even with owning all of the Western sets from 1996/97 there is still that many missing - esp. even a saloon, a post office, a stage coach, a Western train with train station, a covered waggon, a farm, a secret hiding place for the bandits an Indian's treasue cave and a medicin man's tipi! Thanks KielDaMan. Klaus-Dieter
  10. Thanks, Captain Blackmoor. Of course I'll keep on LDD'ing - I already planned to design a whole Western town together with this post office and the saloon. Thanks, Blackicep8ntball. No, I haven't thought about designing CC styled buildings since I don't like them - they don't go with all the other City/Western buildings which have open backwalls (which I prefer over closed backwalls). Thanks, Z06. I didn't want to have them over-detailed (like all these Star Wars UCS sets). But too simple in design doesn't look nice, too. So I tried my best to find a middle way. Klaus-Dieter
  11. That wouldn't matter, Carbohydrates! TLG could either release it together with one or two more buildings, one or two vehicles, some horses and some minifigs as an Exclusive (2000 bricks ~ 150 Euros/US Dollars) or they could simplify the design in the way that it still looks nearly like it looks now but would need less bricks (e. g. railings, windows). If only TLG wanted to ... Klaus-Dieter
  12. But what about a police tank like in 7035 Police HQ, Richie? Imo at least a new police tank would be awesome! I really would like to see some a redesign of one of the skate parks like 3535 Skatebard Stree Park, 6738 Skateboard Challenge or at the best 3537 Skateboard Vert Park Challenge. Some re-designs of Impulse Sports sets like 5013 Free Throw, 5016 Player and Basket and/or 5015 Skateboarder would be great additions. I'm hundred percent convinced that kids would really like to play with these sets today, too, and for us AFOLs these would be great additions to the civilian life of our Lego cities. Klaus-Dieter
  13. Thank you very much for these high-res pics, grogall and whung! I'll comment precistely on 8404 and 7848 later when we'll get reviews of them. Only shortly: 8404 is above average (vehicle are outstanding, road structures are below average) and 7848 is outstanding (esp. because of the birlliant interior of the TRU shop). Klaus-Dieter
  14. Again to City: That would be great, Mr. Elijah Timms! It could even be only one big set or a whole theme (like Playmobil did) with school, gym, school bus with bus station and a pupils pack. I don't expect it to be released - but like the last years showed we didn't expect many sets we wished for years - so it's nevertheless possible. And - like it was already said - I'm hundred percent sure that kids would like it. Surely not teens, but smaller kids (5-10) for which the City theme is mainly designed. Thank you very much for this information, Mirandir! More female minifigs sounds great! This would be even a sign for more civilian oriented sets since it's very unsupposably that there'd be many women included in transportation sets. A beach theme came to my mind: big set with big beach scene and hotel, yacht as medium sized set, coeast guard watch tower with little beach scene as small set and beach buggy as very small set. Something similar to the Xtreme Island theme - but without those criminals and even with more non-sport oriented structures. Let's say: a mixture between Paradisa and Xtreme Island. What do you think? I really like that idea, Mr. Elijah Timms! ut since I can only see a hangar for a small plane, I regrettably highly doubt it. It That would be great nevertheless! (I can't remember someone already posted this idea in the Ideas for new City sets topic?! ) To Star Wars: Do you think that we'll get a set with some Tusken Raiders and a Bantha already next year or firstly when there'll be the 30th year celebration of ROTJ? Klaus-Dieter
  15. Thank you very much for these high-res pics, grogall! Mid-scale ISD: It doesn't look bad. Nevertheless I'd prefered a regular ISD with interior and minifigs. AT-AT: Its design is much better than I firstly feared. The cannon is a great addition. The only thing I really do not like is that we get again a completely wrong torso for General Veers! Why isn't TLG able to give us the right torso (with four instead of three blue and red markings)?! And then they evenn release that minifigure as General Veers although it's a completely regular Imp. Snow Commander. If TLG would be fair at name this minifigure Imp. Snow Commaner and not General Veers I'd possibly buy this set, but so ... Instead of giving us two completely unneccessary and unfitting minifigs in this set (C-3PO and Han) they'd better given us an actual General Veers. I really don't understand why TLG releases that many new minifgs for the rebels, but nearly no new one for the empire - e. g. the new Han fig is absolutely dispensable. Klaus-Dieter
  16. These are totally amazing Western train, CopMike and Quarryman! I really them! The train with the camels looks really good (only the camels on it disturb - but of course this shall be a joke). The cargo train looks great! But the best of these three trains is the passenger train - really amazing! It could very well be an official set! ... If only it was ... The layout is very impressive, too! I really like the train station, the water tower and the stagecoach. Unluckily the other buildings can't be seen that clearly. Have you some pics to look at in a BS/flickr/... gallery? Very, very well done! Klaus-Dieter
  17. Thanks fenris. Thanks Carbohydrates. My aim was to design them in a style very similar to the ones from 1996 since 1. in this way TLG could much easilier produce them and 2. they would go very well with the sets from 1996/97. Klaus-Dieter
  18. That is an absolutely amazing Western MOCset, Carbohydrates! I really it! It looks absolutely realistic and includes a lot of great details and a nice interior! The most I like the architectual design and the cactus. The only things I miss are a horse, a cowboy, a salesman and a Western woman. Otherwise it's perfect! Very, very well done! I'm really looking forward to see more of these excellent Western MOCsets from you! Totally agreement here, LuxorV! If only TLG released some Western sets like this one - whether they would be exclusive or not would imo not matter! Klaus-Dieter
  19. These are two great City MOCs, mifody! The post van is nice. But it's imo a bit too massive. But I really the "van for special troops"! It looks very realistic, includes a door and has even some interior! Very well done! Klaus-Dieter
  20. Mirandir posted following information in the City 2010 topic: Thank you very much for this information, Mirandir! I personally trust Mirandir's information since he was right about the TRU shop, too. So if this information is right, we won't see any hospital theme in 2011. But this even means that we won't see any CG or mountain resq theme, too, since two rescue themes in two years one after another are absolutely unrealistic. On the one hand I'm a bit disappointed that we supposably won't get a new hospital or mountain rescue theme in 2011. On the other hand this opens us the possibility for more other non-police/fire/construction/rescue sets. So which theme/sets might then be released in April 2011? -A zoo theme? Imo very unrealistic as long as the farm theme continues. And I really hope that there'll be some more new farm sets in 2011 since there is so much missing: a milk truck, a sheep grazing land, a horse stables and different types of big and small agricultural vehicles and machinery. -More civilian sets? Imo surely, but not already in April but in summer. -Some additions to this year's themes? Imo very likely: a small gas station (for the Octan Tanker), a cargo helicopter/plane (for this year's airport theme), maybe even a modern cargo center (or is this only my wishful thinking?), a big delivery truck (in addition to a cargo heli/plane), a sheep grazing land with an agricultural vehicle (in addition to the farm theme). What do you think? Klaus-Dieter
  21. Thank you very much for this information, Mirandir! Let's talk about City 2011 here. Klaus-Dieter
  22. Like I promised, now you can find all my latest LDD (Wild West) MOCs even on my LDD Creator gallery: My Creator Gallery (I added the link to my signature, too.) Klaus-Dieter
  23. This is a great MOC, lightningtiger! The architecture looks very realistic. Which I miss is - which was already said - some food pieces. And of course a cash point - or do the customers get all the food for free? Some minifigs and a delivery van would bring your MOC to life. Otherwise very nice. Klaus-Dieter
  24. That's a totally awesome MOC, anna! I really it! It looks absolutely realistic and has that a calm and lovely atmosphere! Very, very well done! Klaus-Dieter
  25. That's a great and very interesting topic, Carbohydrates! I'd say that the most of the torsos you mentioned above can well be used for a Western town. Where necessary you only have to replace the fleesh hands by regular yellow ones. As for the pants: the SW ones work very well but the Indiana Jones don't since there is always a bag for the revolvers. As for the accessory: the guns and revolvers fit perfectly. The whip and the lasso from the IJ theme fit very well, too. And don't forget some boxes, barrels and horses. If you want to get some ideas how to put together some Western minifigs, you can even look through my BS gallery where I build some Western minifigs and set up my Western town Legoredo (these pictures are very unique since I'll surely delete them this year since I'll supposably sell the Classic Train - it doesn't go that perfectly with the Western sets and I need some money for new sets). I wish you good luck for building and am looking forward to see your Western town! Klaus-Dieter
