  1. Thank you very much for this advise, TheBrickster! I will consider it when building my next WW MOC. Klaus-Dieter
  2. Hello everybody! Since my today's exam is over and so I have a bit more time at the moment, I took some pictures of my latest Western MOCset designed with LDD (Universe mode of course). Here it is: Post Office Are you ready to go on a trip through the Wild West? This set includes a Western post office (first floor: post office; second floor: living room) with stagecoach, post officer, cowboy, rich man, rich woman, bandit, three horses and a lot of accessory. An overview: From the other side: The interior: Like in all of my newer LDD MOCsets: removeable roofs: The stage coach includes a removeable roof, too: One additional pic can be found in this folder (when public) of my BS gallery. Comments are welcome! Klaus-Dieter
  3. I totally agree with you, BrickClick! But in which size and price range do you expect it? Similar in size and price to the DS or less? I personally can't think of that many locations and minifigs in Cloud City than in the DS - so it might supposably a bit smaller (maybe 250 Euros/Dollars?). The point is even how it will be designed: With the DS it was much easier since it is some sort of ball. But CC is the biggest on top and is the smallest at the bottom. Do you think that if TLG released a CC (which is imo very supposably) there will only be one or two small OT sets in 2011 (like it was in 2008 with the DS, too)? Klaus-Dieter
  4. Please stay realisitic! This topic is not for telling us your wishes for next year's sets - but to tell us what you think we'll get for themes and sets next year (although sometimes of course wishes and guesses go hand in hand). According to City: Do you think that we'll get again a CG theme or a hospital theme or a RESQ theme? I fear that we won't see a new hospital. The last one seemed to be not that popular. But having it on a hill and including only that few rooms and minifigs it was (although it was imo nevertheless great) a bit unappealing and not that interesting. As for CG: I don't know. If there will be some new Harbor sets in 2011 (?) then it would be likely. On the other hand the RESQ theme has been making a pause for a very long time and I bet that kids would surely like to get a mountain rescue team with heli. According to Kingdoms: Do you think that TLG will introduce one or two new fractions (e. g. fox knights, forestmen, ...) or release only a few sets based on the fractions of this year (and then will come up with new fractions in 2012)? According to a new historical theme: Do you think that even if TLG included a new Kingdoms fraction in 2011 or at least even if they released another big line of sets in 2011, there will be a chance that we'll get another historical theme (Western, Adventures or Romans are imo the most likely)? Klaus-Dieter
  5. I again looked at S@H - this time at Australian's homepage: 3221 is already titled "Lego City Truck" and it costs 49,99 AUD. So there is some space left for something additional in 7848 (if the information you got from TRU is right anyway since the set name is wrong for sure). But I agree with you that if the difference is really only 10 AUD it could of course not be very much. Klaus-Dieter
  6. But which sense would it make to release exactly the same truck, but only in different colors and with different stickers, lightningtiger?! Since legomilk posted the picture of the Truck Stop TRU poll under the written name 7848 I bet that there has to be more in this set than only a TRU truck. But possibly it's even only my wishful thinking. Klaus-Dieter
  7. I really hope that you're right, awesomebrick! The only doubt I have is the question why then TLG doesn't already release a Lego Store this year (since there are already a Lego Truck and a Lego container)?! (To comparison: The Garage wasn't released one year after the Towtruck and the Sports Car.) Good point here, just2good! I totally forgot about the Collectable Minifigures. I added them in my first post. I, too, could well imagine TLG giving us a third and maybe even a fourth wave of collectable minifigures. But more than 1-3 themes can only appear in the year as whole - not 6 new sets in one year. About Johnny Thunder: I already wondered if TLG even had in mind to test a market for a new Adventures theme when releasing those two IJ lines. So might well be. I'd say that the (re-)introduction of a new historical theme will depend very much on how next year's Castle theme will look like. If TLG doesn't release any new fraction but only some more sets on the lions and dragons, it's very supposably that we'll see a new historical theme (imo either Western, Romans or Adventures since these three are the most popular - and Pirates was already done last year). But if the Castle theme will get another new fraction with a lot of new sets in 2011, it's very unlikely that we'll see a new historical theme. Klaus-Dieter
  8. Thank you very much for posting this, CopMike! It's great that TLG asks us for these things! Here are my answers: 1. No. I have no money and no need for those buildings. 2. Individual. At least most of the time. 3. In principle equal since I wouldn't buy it anyway. Sorry for this bad answer. 4. And all civilian cars with car doors, roofs and in more common colors (black, different blue colors, grey). Thank you very much for reading! Klaus-Dieter Reason for edit: update of my wishlists. Now finished!
  9. That's an awesome MOCset, AllanSmith! I really it! It looks absolutely realistic and has the official set look! The only three things which are missing are a driver, a pushcart and a big milk barrel. Otherwise it would make a perfect Farm set I immediately would buy! Very, very well done! Klaus-Dieter
  10. This was a great contest! Because of this I'm really disappointed that I wasn't aible to participate - but I had too much work (and still have). The absolute majority of these entries are brilliant! And so it took me some time too judge who will get points. But finally here is my choice: one point for 15) Skater Boy Entry (Build by lightningtiger) for the great interior design of the skate shop one point for 17) Clown Entry (Build by Redcross) very realisitc and detailed clown's cloak room one point for 47) Clown Entry (Build by Fugazi) for the very lovely and classic created atmosphere Good luck! Klaus-Dieter
  11. This is an absolutely amazing Wild West MOC, I Scream Clone! I really it! It looks absolutely realistic! The architecture is perfect and the colors and accessory fit very well. The most I like the wind mill - perfect design! Imo this is the best of all your WW creations I've seen so far! Very, very well done! Btw: What about adding some interior inside? Klaus-Dieter
  12. Do you think that the new female minifigure included in this magnet set will appear in future City sets, too (since she seems to me to be City styled)? I personally am not that sure. I mean: Isn't there a new female torso included in one of this year's big Creator sets? And in all City sets of which we know until now this torso does not appear - strange. Btw: It's now already beginning of June and so I think it's time that we get a bit news on 7848! Like it was mentioned before, I bet for a small truck stop with a green cargo truck and another truck. And I bet that the TRU truck will be included in the City Square together with a small TRU shop. What do you think? Klaus-Dieter
  13. Thank you very much for this picture, Oky Wan Kenobi! The new female City minifigure looks brilliant! But I don't like it that TLG put three females of three completely different themes together in one set. E. g. I have no use for the pirate lady and the Agents lady and so only might buy it because of the City minifigure. Why not including always one female minifig in a magnet set (of course only where it fits)?! Perhaps I'm a bit difficult in understand - but why do you think that this minifig has to be a teacher because of the apple, prateek? (The most teachers eat pretzels and drink a cup of coffee.) Klaus-Dieter
  14. Hello everybody! Since all sets of the first half of this year are already out and we've already seen a lot of reviews of the sets of the second half of 2010, we now know - apart from some exclusive sets - nearly all sets of this year. Nevertheless it's regrettably about two months until rumours, information and pics about sets of the first half of next year will appear. So I thought it would be interesting to know what you think we might get in 2011 for new themes and new sets (please stay realistic, this should be no wishlist but a topic where you post what you think we might see next year). So what do you think we might get as new themes and new sets in 2011? Here are my thoughts: Duplo Creator ?Cars (System) Technic Racers ?World Racers Castle a completely new fraction or only three additional sets to the already existing fractions? City police hq, police mobile command unit, police boat, police quad (all (confirmed) zoo theme? cargo harbor, "civilian harbor", yacht? bank, post office, supermarket? sheep grazing land, horse stables, tractor with manure-barrel and/or other agricultural apparat? Exclusive: City Square? ?City Trains additional City Train set (e. g. a depot)? ?Toy Story 1-3 ?Prince of Persia Hero Factory ?Space Police Pirates of the Caribbean NinjaGo CC styled building bank or post office or ...? Star Wars OT: regular TIE Fighter, X-Wing, MF and a set with a Bantha and Tusken Raiders? OT Exclusive: Cloud City? Collectable Minifigures Series 3 and 4 ?Egypts Multimedia and Games Architecture Others and Accessory Reason for edit: Updating list. Klaus-Dieter
  15. That's a great and very interesting topic, TheBrickster! I of course voted for the Kingdoms Wizard (Green) because of two reasons: 1. The red wizzards looks like an ugly creation of a computer/nintendo game with his red evil eyes, his hackly coat and his much too long magic wand. 2. The green wizzards looks more classic with his great torso design and the black beart. Klaus-Dieter
  16. That's a totally awesome Forestmen MOC, TheBrickster! I really it! It looks absolutely realistic and stunning and very classic in design! And the backgrounds fits perfectly (esp. with that deer in the light). The only suggestion I have is to set it not up on a 32x32 (?) baseplate but on a 16x32 baseplate. Otherwise it's perfect! Very, very well done! Btw: Is there some interior in the small hut? Klaus-Dieter
  17. That sounds like a great contest! Hopefully I've got some time to build an entry since I'm very busy at the moment. I've got one question: May I use bricks or colors of bricks which TLG produced in the past but doesn't produce anymore (e. g. a canoe or a white hair piece)? Klaus-Dieter
  18. Thank you very much for this great review, CopMike! I voted for Below Average since I really do not understand what's that brilliant about this minifig: 1. The colors (only white-black) make looking it really boring. 2. Why did TLG use the old rucket backpack since there is a newer coming out this year which even offers the possibility that there can be added an antenna to the helmet?! If I really would get this minifigs as a gift when buying the Slave 1, I surely would not say no. But I surely won't buy the minifig extra - and if I get the Slave 1 in a regular toy shop cheaper than on S@H I prefer to pay less money for it than getting that minifig. Klaus-Dieter
  19. That's an absolutely amazing MOCset, TheBrickster! I really it! The combination of the Classic Castle set with the new minifigs and horses fits very well and looks brilliant! Very, very well done! I really hope that TLG will offer us a big knights' tournament set as an Exclusive next year (with tents, horses, many minifigs and many accessory). Wouldn't that be brilliant?! And it would open the chance to only release about three smaller Kingdoms sets and therefore introduce a new Western theme. Klaus-Dieter
  20. That's a great Western scenery, Darth Hawken! I really it! The landscape fits very well and the covered waggon is designed perfectly. The only thing I don't like are the intimations of blood. Of course it's much more realistic with them - but imo it does look bad and destroy the otherwise "harmonious" scenery. Otherwise it's perfect! Very well done! Klaus-Dieter
  21. That's an impressive Western diorama, Kerntechniker! I really it! The landscape looks very realisitc - esp. the rocks and the big trees! Only one idea for improvement: I'd use grey bricks instead of the brown ones in front of the canons. Otherwise it's perfect! Very well done! Klaus-Dieter
  22. These are some really nice Romans, Kerntechniker! I like the simple but effective design. Of course some improvement would be needed - esp. for the helmets. But since there are no official bricks there til now, you even can't use them. The red Classic Castle torsos fit very well. Well done! Klaus-Dieter
  23. This is an absolutely amazing WW MOC, Mrcool1804! I really it! You put the painting 1:1 into bricks -congratulations! The details are stunning and these many US soldiers ... if only Lego Western came back with some new sets! Very, very well done! Klaus-Dieter
  24. That's a great and very interesting topic, TheBrickster! I voted for 3739 Blacksmith Shop. Reasons for why not the Black Falcon's Fortress: The Black Falcon's Fortress has an awesome architectual design, includes - although it's only a medium-sized Castle set - two horses and even six minifigs. But firstly it is too small. And secondly it includes no single room with interior. At least a treasure chamber, a jail and some sort of living room with a chimney, some seats and a table are for me a must-be-included in a good regular and esp. in an exclusive set. Reasons for why not the Guarded Inn: The Guarded Inn has an awesome architectual design, too, and includes even an excellent interior, one horse and - although it's only a small Castle set - four minifigs. But here again, the building is too small. And since it is an inn, a sleeping room is missing. Reasons for why the Blacksmith Shop: I must admit that the Blacksmith Shop looks partly a bit like a MOC. But the quality is much, much better than the one of those imo ugly Factory sets from 2008. A big plus is that there are two civilian minifigs included. And the interior is amazing and there is a lot of it. Plus it goes perfectly with the brilliant 10193 MVV. Klaus-Dieter
  25. I really like your idea, Justin. But: 1. If TLG releases 7848 as a truck stop, then we surely won't get a gas station before 2011. 2. I highly doubt that TLG will release promos as City sets. They stopped the Shell promotion about ten years ago. Now everything which has to do with fuel and oil gets the Octan sticker on it. I know your problem very well from when I was a child, BobaFett2. But Town Junior were really bad desgined sets and even did not fit in style, size, minifigs and vehicles with the regular City sets. I'm not that sure about the prices but I bet that nowadays these sets would be as expensive as the regular City sets, too. An advice: Save your money and then buy either 7641 (about 50 Euros) or 8403 (about 40 Euros). The price ratio performance is imo really ok and you can afford at least one of these sets when you save your money for some time. Plus these sets are absolutely amazing and include minimum one building and minimum three minifigs. So you have a lot of playability and get even minimum one house. Here are two (partly) new ideas for sets TLG already designed - but which should appear in the City theme, too, and which I really would like to see TLG releasing: Pick-up With Trailer With Quadbike pick-up with winch, trailer and quadbike inlcuding a mobile phone, a shovel, a rucksack, a black helmet and a pick-axe minifig: driver Bank Robbery bank (first floor: counter area with strongroom, second floor: office, third floor: bed room), a security transporter and a police tank including two grey suitcases, two pistols, two machinepistols, some jewels, some gold pieces and some billets minifigs: banker, civilian, bank robber, security officer and two SWAT men Your opinion? Klaus-Dieter
