  1. For me this year's best City set is without any doubts 8403 Family House  since it includes a whole family, a detailed awesome interior, a lot of accessory and a brilliant exterior. The top five of this year's City sets are for me: 1. Family House 2. TRU Truck 3. Public Transport 4. Helicopter And Limousine 5. Piglets Enclosure With Tractor But of course all of this year's City sets are (apart from the Fire sets and the train station) totally amazing! Right, lightningtiger. But ideas (like I did have and post) can already be discussed here. Klaus-Dieter
  2. For me it's the 7952 Kingdoms Advent Calendar  since it includes two amazing minifigs (queen and prince) and a lot of nice and usefull accessory. The top three of this year's Kingdoms sets are for me: 1. Kingdoms Advent Calendar 2. Dragons BP 3. Knights BP King's Castle is (apart from that there is only one horse included) great, too, and so do the two Impulse sets. The outpost set is ok. The other three sets (Prison Tower Rescue, Prison Carriage and Knight's Final Joust) are (apart from the minifigs) imo below average. Klaus-Dieter
  3. I think I know now what this small stand is and why there is nothing on its table to sell: It's a christmas tree selling stand. Btw: Even note the similarities between 10216 and this my MOC - bakery, christmas tree seller and ice-skaters. But of course 10216 is way, way better than my MOC. Klaus-Dieter
  4. Hello everybody! Since we now have got pics and/or reviews of all Kingdoms sets being released this year, I thought that it would be interesting to know which your favourite Kingdoms set of this year is. So please vote. Commments are welcome! Klaus-Dieter
  5. I thought once more about which City sets we might get for 2011. Here the result: January: police station, police boat, police helicopter March: police ? (limited edition), sheep grazing land April: zoo main set, zoo medium sized set, zoo small set, zoo mulitcar June: zoo Impulse, yacht (limited edition) July: city square (exclusive (102..)), supermarket (hard to find) September: gas station, garbage truck, cargo harbor, cargo transport vehicle, City advent calendar What do you think? Klaus-Dieter

  7. Thank you very much for this information, Oswald the Rabbit! No, not again another licensed theme!!! Is TLG going "license-crazy"?! Isn't TLG's slogan "Just imagine"?! Some licenses are ok. But when it comes to the point when the licensed themes are nearly as numerous as the unlicensed themes, this is bad. Kids should use their imagination when playing with Lego - and not only replay scenes from movies. The Pirates theme from 2009 was such a nice theme! Why didn't TLG elaborate it or come back with a Pirates theme similar to it?! Plus there are a lot of other historical themes which haven't been done before (Romans, Egypts) or which have been released already a long, long while ago (Western, Adventures). Why not releasing some of these themes?! Klaus-Dieter
  8. Thank you very much for this background information, Sandy! I didn't know that. Nevertheless I don't like her and so even won't buy her. Klaus-Dieter
  9. Thank you very much for this great review with pictures and barcodes, Ras74 and Superkalle! I only do not like the witch - with her green face she looks too ugly and unfitting. And it's really a pity that the pharaoh's stick isn't golden but some in some kind of honey-yellow/honey-brown. Otherwise all the other minifigs are brilliant! I can't await to get some of them. Klaus-Dieter
  10. I regrettably have got bad news for all us Western fans: In 2011, there very likely won't be a new Western theme since 1. there very likely will be a Pirates of the Caribbean license and so there will be already two historical themes in 2011 (Kingdoms and Pirates of the Caribbean (=pirates)). Another historical theme is consequenlty very unlikely. and 2. according to Cutty's information in this topic, in the Minifigures Series 3 there'll be a tribal chief. Indian and cowboy of series one are no problem for a new Western theme since you need many and many different of them. But a tribal chief is something very special. And since there'll be already one as an exclusive minifigure in 2011, we for sure won't get Indians in 2011 - and so very likely even no Western theme at all. What do you think? Klaus-Dieter
  11. Thank you very much for this information, Cutty! The Native American chief and the Hawaii girl sound great! And the gorilla is surely a good addition to the caveman. Do you, too, think that the Hawaii girl will be very similar to the surfer from wave 2 - but female and with different accessory? I'm really excited which other minifigs we'll get in series 3 and even in series 4. Klaus-Dieter
  12. That's a totally amazing MOC, marcosbessa! I really it! It looks absolutely realistic and is full of details in the exterior as well as in the interior. The most I like the statues and that you did not add a backwall to the house. Very, very well done! Klaus-Dieter
  13. Thank you very much for the pictures of these promos, whung! 30011 looks good, 30012 looks bad and 30013 looks great. I totally agree with you, Rick. Like it was already discussed in this topic, there won't be a new hospital theme. But since fire appeared this year after three years, too, it's highly likely with police, too. Klaus-Dieter
  14. Thanks hawkyboy4. Well, firstly to the window in front of the shower stickers could be added. And secondly the glas walls of the shower would in reality be milk glas - in combination with the regular windows nobody outside could then look clearly into the shower. Thanks TheBrickster. No, I do not plan to build it since I regrettably don't own the parts I would need for this my MOCset. Apart from that I'm very busy at the moment anyway. But in my summer semester holidays I plan to build a small school with real bricks. Thanks Section8. To every bedroom a bathroom should belong. In reality, all bedrooms are surely on the same side and all bathroom are on the same side, too. But since this should theoretically be an official Lego City set, I added two bathrooms and two bedrooms for more playability. That not all two bedrooms are on the same side is because of aesthetic reasons - it simply looks more varied and attractive. Klaus-Dieter
  15. Thanks danim. I wanted to have the lightbar that tall since there should be one of that small black displays between the bluelights. Thanks lightningtiger. Here in Germany the number of female police officers grows and grows - so why shouldn't it in Lego City, too?! Thanks KielDaMan. I, too, hope that TLG will release a police cross-country vehicle (in 4 wide). And of course a female police officer is since long overdue! Klaus-Dieter
  16. Thank you very much for this picture, whung, and for the price information, Sir von Lego! The Winter Bakery looks really beautiful! Like already mentioned, there wasn't that extremely positive effect when I saw that picture, too. But I think that this mainly depends on that last year the Winter theme was something completely new and unexpected. In contrary this year we did already await a new Winter set - and it was clear that it either will be a candy shop or a bakery. But now to the set itself: Con: -white owl (why not one of the HP theme?!) -carriage puts the whole Winter theme in a past period of history (I would prefer a Winter theme which is compatible in time with the current City theme - e. g. a modern snow mower instead of this carriage) -much too small lake (if one side would be open, this would solve the problem) -only one kid (but four men) -stand without anything on it to sell Pro: -another building which fits hundred percently with 10199 -nice landscape -not exactly the same design like 10199 -seven minifigures -lots of lovely food pieces -bakery with two floors (perhaps with some small interior upstairs, too?!) -brilliant display All in all it's really an amazing set! (Whether it'll be outstanding or "only" above average, I'll firstly decide after having seen the first review or/and more pics (esp. of the interior).) Do you, too, think that there'll be an interior on the second floor, too? What do you think: oven (to open) and a small desk downstairs; bed, table with chair and light brick upstairs? Klaus-Dieter
  17. Thank you very much for this picture, whung! The UCS Jedi Star Fighter looks good. But since I'm not interested in UCS sets, I don't care. Isn't it strange that there'll be two huge UCS sets this year but no big exclusive set with minifigures (like last year's Tantive 4)?! But since more than the half of 2010 is over now, I highly doubt that there'll be a third big exclusive set. Apart from that there have never been more than two big Exclusives (150+ Euros/Dollars)in the last years. What do you think? Klaus-Dieter
  18. These are great entries! So it was very hard to choose only three. Nevertheless the three which I finally chose are: Carbohydrates Penguinz Bojan Pavsic Good luck! Klaus-Dieter
  19. These are great entries! And so it was even hard to vote. Nevertheless here's the result: private_lego - 1 vote Igorlando - 1 vote captaintuddle - 1 vote Good luck! Klaus-Dieter
  20. Thanks lightningtiger. Thanks just2good. I added the beach since this hotel should be placed at the beach. And for the heli: It offers more playability for kids and is for us adults a nice addition, too. Thanks Dunjohn. I really would have liked to use more fitting torsos - but even the Universe mode does offer only a very, very limited number of torso designs (not much more than the regular LDD mode). Klaus-Dieter
  21. Thank you very much for this information, darthperson! So there won't be an exclusive non-UCS OT set in this year's fall? Since it's the 30th anniversary of ESB (and since we got that many Hoth sets this year) I hoped that much for a new Hoth Base. Klaus-Dieter
  22. Thank you very much for this great review, Inconspicuous! I voted for average and that it is not worth its money. Pro: -all important scenes included -three new minifigs -a lot of action elements Con: -no vehicle included -no Bespin Guard -no Ughunaut -no prison -no torture chamber -no waiting area with glas cupola -no floor -too small rooms -no walls between the different rooms All in all this was a nice set for JFOLs - but for AFOLs it's not big and detailed enough. When TLG will very suppoably release a new Cloud City in the next years, I hope that it'll include -more rooms (torture chamber, long floor, waiting area with plexi glas cupola) -bigger rooms -walls between the rooms to seperate them -a Twin Pod Cloud Car -Lobot and two Bespin Guards -new minifigures: Ughunaut and silvern 3PO Klaus-Dieter
  23. That's a totally amazing Western MOCset, Carbohydrates! I really it! It looks absolutely realistic and fits very well with all the official WW sets released in 1996. I esp. like all these many interior details - simply amazing. Very, very well done! Klaus-Dieter
  24. That's a totally amazing Western MOCset, Carbohydrates! I really it! It looks absolutely realistic and fits very well with all the official WW sets released in 1996. The exterior as well as the interior is designed perfectly and full of details. The only two things I miss are a horse and a civlian (who is on his/her way to the doctor). Otherwise it's perfect. Very, very well done! Klaus-Dieter
  25. That's a great and very intersting topic, Sirens-Of-Titan! I voted for tower TLG really needs to give us some new geraldry - always only redesignes of (the classic used) animals gets really boring and is difficult to play with. A torso with yellow-white or gold-white would be great, too. Klaus-Dieter
