  1. Again about the Hoth Echo Base: So do you think that Han, Leia and Vader won't be included? About the SW Advent Calendar: Like it was already mentioned, I, too, bet that it'll mainly include mini-models of ships and around eight minifigs. I bet that all episodes and the CW will be included - for the simple reason: TLG in this way can get the most Lego SW fans for buying it (and not only OT, PT or CW fans). I imagine that - concerning the included minifigs - we'll mainly get unnamed characters (e. g. a Clonetrooper, a Stormtrooper, a Scouttrooper, a Battle Droid) and some new characters (for sure - otherwise many people won't get the advent calendar since unnamed minifigs are included in smaller sets anyway (BPs)). Btw: I fear that we won't see the Naboo Fighter and the Hoth Echo Base at the toy fairs. They are very supposably exclusive summer releases (like last year's AT-AT and that other set) - so we supposably and regrettably will firstly see pics of them in late spring. Do you think that - although we now know three OT sets for this year (MF, Ewok Attack and Hoth Echo Base) - there nevertheless will be an exclusive Cloud City set (for about 250 Euros/Dollars)? Klaus-Dieter
  2. Welcome to EB, fredolego, and thank you very much for this information! I hope that your source is right since I really would like to get a post office (the last one was released decades ago) - esp. if it was included in a set similar to 7641. And I even think that it's not too unlikely since there aren't that many civilian houses left which could be sold as non-10xxx sets: -Lego Store -grocery -post office -bakery (not Winter theme styled) -butcher -boutique -cargo center -(fastfood) restaurant -snackbar -car dealership -supermarket -zoo -TV studio -some more family houses -ice-cream parlor -school (For Exclusives, there could and should a hotel, a mall/shopping center, a huge villa with big garden, a museum, a town hall, a cafe, a factory, a public works center, a truck stop and a bruery be released.) What do you think? Klaus-Dieter
  3. Thank you very much for this great review, mifody! I voted for above average  since this set is simply amazing - but there are even some details which easily could have been done better. Cons: -no bricks above the door to the vault -no third floor with an office -no real security officer -no wall between the driver's cab and the other room inside the armored van -only two bills -police car without doors -police car fits only one minifig although there would be place for two Pros: -a new bank -very detailed interior -excellent looking interior as well as exterior of the bank -excellent looking interior as well as exterior of the armored van -female bank officer -a lot of accessory -a lot of playability without making the contents of the set unrealistic Of all the sets we've got information til now and seen pics til now, this is simply the best City set for this year! Keep on the good work with giving us more civilian houses and civilian sets in general, TLG! Klaus-Dieter
  4. Back to the rumored Hoth Echo Base set: How big and which price do you think it'll be? And which minifigs do you think there'll be included? I'd imagine it to be somewhere between 100 and 150 Euros/US-Dollars. So I think we could get: -injured Luke -medical droid (it was already included in last year's Palpatine's Shuttle - so it would be ununderstandeable if they didn't include it in here, too) -Major Bren Darlin -two Snowtroopers -two Hoth Rebel Troopers -Darth Vader -probe droid -Hoth Han -Hoth Leia -Chewbacca are in total 11 minifigs - like in The Battle of Endor - in which's size I could well imagine this set to be, too. Do you think that they'll put in a Snowspeeder and/or an AT-AT and/or a not before seen Rebel and/or Imperial vehicle? And do you think that they'll include a Tauntaun? Klaus-Dieter
  5. Thank you very much for this link and the information, aaronptrck! The Power Boat Transporter does indeed not look bad. But I'll finally judge when we'll have clearer pics. Klaus-Dieter
  6. Well, an advent market would be cool, Nebi. But I don't think that it'll happen. And I even don't want it happening. Reason: There is a very limited pieces count for every day in an advent calendar. This way only much too small and too undetailed market stands could be built (remember the advent calendar of 2009). Since there are always minifigs and accessory from the current themes in the year when the advent calendar is released, I could well imagine it including: -new police officer with walkie-talkie -police barrier -new (police) dog with dish and bone -new prisoner with crowbar -safe with two bills -astronaut -"flying space seat" (sorry, I don't know the correct name) -harbor worker -Octan barrel and pushcart -small pier -female surfer with life vest -surfboard -buoy -sled -Christmas tree -Santa Claus ... Perhaps one or two kids, one woman, a bicycle and some other civilian stuff? ... What do you think? Klaus-Dieter
  7. I really would like to get a decent siege tower, too, Sirens-Of-Titan, that would be great! But won't it be strange if TLG released the civilian sets as regular sets and then the set with the supposably highest action potential and biggest appealing to kids as exclusive set? I don't want to say that this is impossible. But I highly doubt it. Klaus-Dieter
  8. Thank you very much for this great review, SilentMode! I voted for Average. That's not a bad set for someone who starts getting introduced into Lego City and who wants some additional minifigs in addition to the only very little number of minifigs in official sets. There are even two great new elements: yellow hard helmet (supposably used in the 2012 construction side sets?) and laptop. And some "mini sets" are quite nice: the scarecrow, the crops, the quarterpipe with skater boy and the woman with bicycle and food. But all in all I've no need for this set since there are two many elements and minifigs included which I don't need. So I better buy the minfigs and elements I want seperately. Klaus-Dieter
  9. Thank you very much for this great review, Brickviller! I voted for average. Pro: -excellent looking police helicopter -additional car for more playability and action Con: -no car doors in the pick-up -unfitting color for the pick-up (why not blue, black or grey?!) -much too expensive set Klaus-Dieter
  10. Thank you very much for this great review, mifody! I voted for average. Pro: -excellent looking police car -speed control -civilian minifig as car driver (and not again a prisoner) -female police officer Con: -(ugly looking) police trike -boring color for the civilian car (we already have got that many red and yellow cars - so why not some blue, black or grey ones?!) -no car doors in both cars With nearly all cars in the 2010 City sets including car doors, it's really a step backwards that TLG didn't include car doors in these two cars (as well as in the majority of the new police sets). If TLG included car doors in the cars, AFOLs would be much happier because so the cars would looke much more authentic, and JFOLs would be much happier because so more playability is offered. Klaus-Dieter
  11. That's a great and very interesting topic, buddy! For me the best 2010 City set is without thinking the 8403 City House  closely followed by the TRU Truck (because of the toy shop included) and the Helicopter And Limousine (because of the limousine). Klaus-Dieter
  12. Thank you very much for this great review, WhiteFang! I voted for Average and Yes. There are some great minifigs included in this series (snowboarder, Indian chief, Samurai, rapper and baseball player). But it can't compete against series 2 and mainly not against series 4. Hopefully these minifigs will arrive in regular toy shops here in Germany soon - at the moment it doesn't look like that. Klaus-Dieter
  13. That's a completely amazing MOC, Karlo! I really it! It looks absolutely awesome with all those realistic details, the great architectual desgin and the calm and lovely atmosphere! The most I like the botanic garden - brilliant! If only TLG offered us a zoo or botanic garden as a regular theme or an Exclusive next year! Very, very well done! Klaus-Dieter
  14. Thank you very much for this great review, SilentMode! I voted for poor since I do really not see any sense in this set. These minifigs are only already existing minifigs or put together of already existing minifigure parts. Plus minifigs of different historic epochs and different stories are trown together. Klaus-Dieter
  15. Thank you all very much for the new information and for the links to the pictures! I'm really surprised that we'll get two medieval sets as regular sold sets! Fairytale And Historic Minifigures These are only minifigs we've already seen or which are put together out of already existing parts! Plus minifigures from many different historic epoch and different stories are thrown together in one set. Excuse me but I neither want this set nor do see any sense in this set! Escape From Dragon's Prison Do we really need another prison?! The dragon tower of 2010 already includes one. Plus the flick-fire misilles look bad and unfitting, too. The only nice and interesting part in this set might be the horse's cover. Blacksmith Attack A small but quite nice set! I wonder whether the final version will include the new weapons, too, and if yes how they weill look like. King's Carriage Ambush I really like this set. It includes a lot of action but nevertheless great details. Finally we get a king's carriage with two horses. That the dragon knights hide in the two trees is a great idea - although I would have prefered forestmen to hide there. Mill Village Raid  That's a completely amazing set! I really like the small mill, the small carriage, the house and the new minifigs. The goats are nice, too, although I would have prefered sheep. But the chicken are imo too alone - where is the cock?! Btw: What do you think there'll be for interior for the farmhouse? Upstairs supposably only a rat and some hay bales, downstairs perhaps a chimney, a table and two seats. What do you think? About all this discussion about another Kingdoms set we haven't seen so far: Imo it's very nearly excluded that we'll get another regular sold Kingdoms set since the pictures in the retailer' catalogue did only show these four. And that there'll be an exclusive Kingdoms set is imo very unlikely, too. Since this is the second wave, a number of four sets sound realistic. Klaus-Dieter Klaus-Dieter
  16. Thank you all very much for the new information and for the links to the pictures, prateek! 9348 Community Worker Set That's not a bad set for someone who starts getting introduced into Lego City and who wants some additional minifigs in addition to the only very little number of minifigs in official sets. 4641 Speed Boat That's a small but quite nice looking set. 4642 Fishing Boat This set looks nice. But I'm really disappointed that it's no real fishing boat with fishing net etc. (the name "fishing boat" imo implies that). I'll finally judge after having seen pictures of its interior - since in this set, the interior will be the criterion whether I'll buy this set. But since the interior of the police boat is poor (since there is none), I highly doubt that we'll get a decent interior in this boat. 4643 Power Boat Transporter The picture is too blurry to be aible to finally judge. But it seems to look good. I hope that the boat won't be more than 6 studs wide. 4645 Harbor I'm really surprised that we don't get again a container ship but some sort of grain ship - that's a welcome diversion! Everything necessary is included in this set. The only three things which disturb me are that firstly the set is much too colorful, that secondly there is no blanking coverabove the retral hole in the ship and that thirdly the "building" is much too small. Btw: Do you think that the very small "building" beneath the crane is an office (it seems to be only 6 studs wide)? 4644 Marina  Imo this set is definately the best set of the whole new harbor wave! It's completely amazing! Everything is included a decent marina needs - and even more: a peer, a big boat, a surfboard, a coast guard watchtower, a small cafe and even a surfer's & diver's shop! I really like it that TLG gives us a complete house with a surfer's & diver's shop (with decent cashpoint and a lot of accessory) and a small cafe (with decent interior and roof terrace) - that's completely awesome! The only three things I miss is a second, smaller boat, a longer peer to be aible to have more boats "parking" there and some more minifigs. Btw: Do you think that there's even some interior to the third floor of the building (maybe a bed and a nightstand? I completely agree with you that there won't be another wave this year, metalgearsolid. But nevetheless there surely will be one or two Exclusives (like the last year(s)). I wouldn't be surprised if we saw a supermarket. Plus Cwetqo some months ago mentioned that there'll be a ferry (hopefully as ferry not the ugly 10155 is counted). Klaus-Dieter
  17. Thank you all very much for the link to those pictures and for the new information! Millenium Falcon I'm quite disappointed that there won't be one single new minifig included in this set. I'll finally judge when having seen the interior - the quantity and quality of the interior will be the criterion whether I'll buy this set or not. Ewok Attack A quite nice set. Only the price is much too high for this set. Plus no Stormtrooper and only two Ewoks is much less than I awaited. But all in all it's a quite nice set with two new Ewoks and finally a tree. Hoth Echo Base I really like it that TLG does expand the Hoth diorama. I have high hopes on this set. Hopefully we'll get minimum the two rooms (which TLG missed in the last version) - control center and medical room - and minimum two new minifigs - injured Luke and Major Bren Darlin. Plus an in size reduced ion cannon would be cool. I wouldn't be surprised if TLG throw in another Snowspeeder, the probe droid, Pilot Luke, his co-pilot, Hoth Leia and Hoth Han. So I could imagine a re-design of the version of 2007 - but with some new minifigs and some decent rooms. What do you think? Nuremberg toy fair will be in the beginning of February, NY toy fair in the middle of February. Klaus-Dieter
  18. Well, yes, you're right. It shall be General Lando. Sorry. I corrected that. Klaus-Dieter
  19. Looking at those pics on flickr, the bank is really a must-have for every City fan! The details of its interior are simply stunning! The only four things I don't like in this set are that there is open space above the safe door, that there is no wall between the room with the safes and the driver's cab in the armored car and that the police car - although it's that huge - doesn't fit two minifigures (like the taxi) and that the security officer (very supposably) will be a regular police officer. Apart from these four things it's an outstanding set which I can't await to get! Thank you very much for this information, grogall! Are the bank and the police chase available there, too? Klaus-Dieter
  20. Thank you very much for this information, baby! A new hair piece for Luke? That sounds interesting. I could well imagine TLG using the Surfer's hair out of Minifigure Series 2. Well, let's see - I hope that pics will arrive soon. And that there's a Luke minifigure included does not necessarily mean that the MF won't be ROTJ style. The past shows that TLG can throw in every minifigure they want to - even if it doesn't appear in the scene the rest of the set is placed. Plus only Lando and Nien Numb would be a bit too little minifigures for the MF (and so a set around suppsoably 150 Euros), don't you agree? Klaus-Dieter
  21. I want a new trunk door with window in it like this classic one - but which fits with the new hinges. Klaus-Dieter
  22. Here are some more wishes: Ninja/Samurai/??? (I regrettably don't know the term for this kind of Asian Warrior) male stressed dark-blue helmet with silvern grate dark-blue torso, dark-blue pants ligth-brown long stick (for fighting) Teacher female friendly brown Nurse's (series 1) hair white blouse, light-blue pants classic brown satchel, map Oktoberfest/Beer Garden Waitress female shouting blond Chearleader's (series 1) hair dark-green frock with white blouse and white skirt two transparent beer mugs Klaus-Dieter
  23. I completely agree with you, prateek! But since there are no coins pictured on the box art pic, I fear that there even will be no included. Klaus-Dieter
  24. I completely agree with you in this ideas, Kaptin_BarfBeerd! A school house, a fast food restaurant and a mall would be completely amazing! Fastfood and fastfood restaurants play a big role in the life of today's children (at least here in Middle Europe and in North America). So a fastfood restaurant - at the best with a kitchen, a "dining room", a small terrace with playground outside and a takeaway with a civilian car and a fastfood delivery car - would surely sell very well. A school house would supposably be not that appealing to TFOLs - since they normally don't like school. But JFOLs would surely like it (otherwise the Playmobil school sets wouldn't sell that well) and a lot of AFOLs would surely like to get one in order to expand the civilian life and civilian houses in their Lego Cities. TLG could even spice the school house up with adding a school bus, a school yard and a sports hall. A school could either be one big set or even a whole new theme (like Playmobil did). A mall would surely be a mainly AFOL oriented and supposably exclusive set since - if done with a nice architecture, many glas, a decent interior and many minifigs and accessory - it would be in a 100-150 Euros price range. But since we haven't had many civlian buildings and shops before (and a mall not anyway), I bet that it would sell very well. If TLG does release some or all of these three sets in the future, I hope that they will not be CC-sytled (meaning I hope that they will have open backwalls) - otherwise I wouldn't be interested in them. I'm already waiting since years for a school (theme), a mall and a fastfood restaurant - let's hope that TLG will offer these sets to us in the next years! If so, I for sure would buy them. Klaus-Dieter
  25. I'm really happy that the bank is not CC-style. I really like the classic City buildings with the open back. Houses for Lego City with backwalls are for me horrible (because of this I even don't like the CC-styled buildings that much and don't buy them (apart from financial reasons)). Apart from that the new bank is built in a very detailed and authentic architectual style (it has some similiarities with the awesome cinema included in 10184) - which surprises me since it's no a 10xxx set. Klaus-Dieter
